Snorlax is a versatile pokemon in 1v1. While usually defensive Counter, Belly Drum allows Snorlax to get past bulky pokemon like Registeel and Chansey. Custap Berry ensures it can get an attack off against faster pokemon. Double Edge is able to take advantage of the power Snorlax has after a Belly Drum and has good coverage combined with Heat Crash. Double Edge also has the raw strength to beat Trick users like Choice Scarf Gardevoir and Rotom-A. Heat Crash hits Steel- and Ghost-types like Genesect, Jirachi, Chandelure and Aegislash. Encore allows Snorlax to beat pokemon that need to setup to break past it, such as Swords Dance Rhyperior, Iron Defense Kommo-o and Shell Smash Crustle. Encore can also prove to be useful against pokemon that try to stall it, like Corviknight and Galarian Corsola. Without Chople Berry, Snorlax may be OHKO'd by Fighting-types such as Urishifu and Sawk. Fairy- and Psychic-types like Tapu Fini, Primarina, Aromatisse, and Tapu Lele are able to threaten them on preview. Galarian Corsola is able to cover a majority of Snorlax's defensive holes and makes for a good partner with its bulk and Ghost-typing.
