Snorlax @ Leftovers
Ability: Thick Fat
Tera Type: Fairy
EVs: 252 HP / 4 Def / 252 SpD
Careful Nature
- Curse
- Body Slam
- Heat Crash
- Rest
Snorlax has fallen from grace since its glory days, but it has been thriving in ZU this generation as a specially defensive wall and setup threat. Curse alongside Tera Fairy is a very good win condition against loads of offensive threats like Beartic and Passimian. Heat Crash hits most targets that Body Slam cannot, such as Ghost-types like Mismagius and Steel-types like Magneton. Snorlax's great bulk means Rest can be a solid option for recovery and to remove status, since it can outlast its enemies without needing Sleep Talk. Snorlax is the best specially defensive check in the tier, being able to take on setup threats like Oricorio, Jolteon, and Spiritomb. Rock-types like Regirock and Naclstack are a notable weakness for this Snorlax set, so teammates like Weezing, Shaymin, and Mesprit are great to help deal with them. Snorlax really struggles against Fighting-types like Hitmontop and Hisuian Sneasel before Terastallization, thus it appreciates partners like Spiritomb, Sandslash, and the aforementioned Weezing.
