Snorlax @ Leftovers
Ability: Thick Fat
Tera Type: Fairy
EVs: 12 HP / 244 Def / 252 SpD
Careful Nature
- Curse
- Body Slam
- Heat Crash / Crunch
- Rest
After months spent lounging in ZU, the former RBY titan finally wakes up and rolls over PU! The tried-and-true Curselax offers a great special wall to the PU tier, blanking threats such as Rotom-H, Salazzle, and Florges while providing teams with a status absorber, albeit an imperfect one due to Rest not being paired with Sleep Talk. Having at least two attacking moves is crucial here; Body Slam is the preferred STAB move for its ability to spread paralysis, which makes it harder for switch-ins like Rhydon to punish it. Heat Crash is a powerful coverage option that hits Steel-types like Alolan Sandslash and leverages Snorlax's high weight to its advantage, while Crunch hits Ghost-types like Palossand harder. Tera Fairy is Snorlax's best Tera type for walling Pokemon such as Tatsugiri and lets it deal with Fighting-types in a pinch. Snorlax appreciates strong physical walls like Mudsdale and Uxie, as they can cover Fighting-types such as Pawmot and Paldean Tauros-F for it, while Snorlax switches into Ice- and Dark-types like Alolan Ninetales and Choice Specs Zoroark for them. It also appreciates wallbreakers like Tatsugiri and Bruxish to weaken checks for it.
