Some questions for the wifi goers

Alright, I still don't have wifi yet =( since I don't know whether I'll be getting wireless internet or not, but I've been breeding like hell and dieying for battles lol. So hopefully some people are willing to answer some of the questions that I can't get out of my head.

If this thread gets locked then so be it, but I think I'm in the right place. =)

okay here goes:

1. I've been breeding like shit for good IVs so if you don't mind telling me what do you consider "good enough" for Wifi.

ie- I have a magicarp now that has 30/24/22/0/29/31 IVs (speed last) It's nowhere near perferct, but I personally don't think a few atk points could really cost me a battle.....or could it lol

2. I know that not that many players are already on wifi but I know a good number that are, and this one's for you guys: What do you all see as the biggest threats so far and which pokemon causes you the most problems in general? In other words, which pokemon is the first one that comes to mind when you're putting teams together?

3. Which Physical defensive pokemon do you use/see used most often on wifi? EDIT: thx for the reply Leonard. :) I meant physical though lol but yeah I agree with you on Bliss definantly. I edited it now to say physical.

4. This one is for the Gyara users. Which set has worked the best for you? (that is, if you're willing to share =D) Do you use standard EV spreads from ADV gen or has anyone tried out Jump's idea for the bulky Dos? Same thing for whether to use taunt or not and with which moves.

5. Which Bliss set do you think is the most effective so far?

6. Which pokemon do you see used the most competitively?

and lastly: 7. What are your solutions to TMs like roost? Is there a way of cloning them other than the GTS glitch? If so, please tell.

I'm sorry to annoy you all with these questions, but I haven't played on wifi and I need to know lol. =(

thx again

1. anything with above 26 in all it's wanted stats.
2. TTar, Garchomp, etc.
3. Blissey
4. Stone Edge, Ice Fang, DDance, Crunch>
5. Ice Beam, Heal Bell, Softboiled, TWave.
6. Tyranitar
7. you're stuck with GTS glitch

1- Absolute max speed is a must. The rest can be at average, IMO (I always aim for 31 atk/sp. atk and 31 speed, and about 20 on defenses)
2- Two Pokemon worries me A LOT, and they are Salamence and Heracross. They don't have 100% accurate counters, one wrong move and they'll take down one Poke.
3- Blissey, Skarmory and Gliscor.
6- Garchomp, aka Gablias.
7- If you're on japonese D/P, you can clone itens with the Ditto glitch.

1. >25 in all your wanted stats, 31 Speed is nice if your EV Spread was especially designed for outspeedin' some Pokemon.
Personally I generally like 31 Speed when usin' a sweeper and nice average offensive IVs (>15), when usin' a Wall I like 31 HP and average Defensive IVs (>15)
2. Salamence, Gyarados
3. Skarmory, Cresselia
4. Earthquake, Waterfall, Taunt, Dragon Dance, I'm not a Gyara user BTW
5. Seismic Toss, Ice Beam, Aromatherapy, Softboiled.
6. Blissey
7. Well you can breed the Pokemon that learns that TM naturally with the ones that learn it by TM, an example:

I Level up my Male Fearow to Lv 41 so it learns Roost, then i breed it with a Female Skarmory and the result: A Skarmory with Roost!.

If the Pokemon is from the Ground Egg Group, then Smeargle makes the work easier just Sketchin' it from someone.

The problem are some Pokemon that learn the desired TM only when fully evolved, like for example Magikarp doesn't learn Stone Edge but Gyarados does so you can't breed for it.

Another problem is that it can mess some others Egg moves that you maybe will want -__-

1.31 in speed if it's not a poké like lax,slowbro,25-31 in other stats(I usually try to get max offensive power on sweepers and max def power on walls).
2.chomp,mence,cross are to be aware of (this list will most likely expand a little when the metagame is fully settled)
3.skarm,cressy(nobody seems to use weezing =[)
4.I like the standard perhaps without taunt since skarm doesn't like those stabbed waterfalls anyway. For ev's I still like a fast straightforward config. but a jump config is always worth a try.
5.standard with Ice beam you really won't like garchomp setting up on your no Ice beam blissey.

Question for people who suggest things like "26+ in all important stats" - how much breeding do you actually do? Unless you're either really lucky, getting stats like that can take days at least even for easy Pokemon like Magikarp. Do you honestly have the patience for that? (And if so, you're way more patient than I am.)

azelf ---- 31/30~/29/27/17/24
Heatran----15/30/21/30/31/25

All of them were caught, not bred... and took a little under an hour(two hours best) with ASAP soft resetting @ Synchro Abra... it's really not hard (or i'm probably a lucky piece of shit)

Most likely the latter. I've bred for over a week and my best Larvitar is 21/31/26/24/31/26. Speed last.

Nah, SRing with a Synchronizer is faster when it comes to finding good wild Pokemon then simply hatching them, imo.

20 should be the lowest IV you settle for in a stat that somewhat matters (Defense on Specs Mence). 31 is what you should look for on at least two stats that really matter (Sp. Atk and Speed on Specs Mence). So yeah, I'd recommend 25+ for most stats, and 31 speed on EVERYTHING (except wish passers). It takes about 5 days for me on average to get the standard Pokemon I want, which imo isn't THAT long.

Just want to give my quarter penny up. I personally use a gyarados that's impish and has enough defense to survive the non-choice band and non-swords dance rhyperior that has at least 207 in each defense, 300 attack, 250 speed or more, andt the rest in HP depending on how I want to mix it up.

1. I would say anything with over 28 in the specific stats you'll need, and the rest need to be above 20.

2. The one major problem I've run into are bulky gyarados. Also Electrivire tends to give me problems. Then again, I have a fairly UU/BL team.

3. Which Physical defensive pokemon do you use/see used most often on wifi? I mostly see skarm and rhyperior.

4. N/A

5. The ice beam standard.

6. I've seen maybe one serious team without a Blissey.

7. Without the GTS glitch I'd be attempting to trade for the ones I need.

Thanks for the responses everyone. =)

Seems to me like Mence, Gyara, Chomp, and Hera are the guys raping teams around here lol. Also, how threatening have Ttars been?

As for Gyara, I'm kinda leaning towards: DD, EQ, Ice Fang, and Waterfall. Any opinions here are appreciated.

If anyone would like to add their two cents in, please do. ;D

EDIT: I probably like Gyara too much lol, but for the guys that use this thing a lot, do you go for max speed/atk or is there a different format that you use. ie-to survive a certain attack from a certain counter or w/e that you're willing to share.

I'm pretty much the authority on WiFi around here, with over 2 matches to my name. Anyway, I'd just like to add that Rhyperior is pretty frightening. It 2HKO'd my Aerodactyl with Megahorn, which it really has no right to. I think it did respectably against the 4x effective Milotic Surf I threw at it, as well. And this wasn't even in a sandstorm.

It's pretty long for most people. =P

And I can't wait to go SyncSet-happy on my Palkia. Beats slogging through all 20 natures any day.
