Hello guys, this is my 2nd attempt to post here on smogon. last post was focused more on the team as in the moves, and I admit it was a bit... sloppy done. So I apologize for that.
Here we go again.

Edits will be in BOLD

This team is meant for Shoddy and WIFI battling. I know its different and somethings might not be as good as they can considering the pokemon I have,
and dont missunderstand me here, I want my team to win, and I dont just wanna play for "fun" (even thought it is fun to play ;) ) I want to win, but without following
everyone els like a mindless sheep (sorry if I offend anyone). Ofc this cant be done with only cool pokemon, I do have alot of OU´s in my team, since they are OU for a reason.
You cant win a battle with only favorites, ok sure you can pull it off once in a while but thats not what im looking for.
Thats the big "con" with this team I guess, its UU pokemon.
The "pro" thought is that, I have found playing on wifi and SMOGON, is that ppl doesnt know how to counter these pokemon, espessialy (spelling :S) ppl who started playing in D/P.
Since a few of my pokes are from R/B/Y and are OU, many dont even know what they can do, and I use this to my advantage.
I surley dont win 100% of the time, but I would say I come out on top a good 60% of the time.
So thats the reason for picking some of the UU pokemon I use.

Azelf @ Focus Sash
Ability: Levitate
EVs: 4 Atk/252 Spd/252 SAtk
Naive nature (+Spd, -SDef)
- Stealth Rock
- Psychic
- Explosion
- Flamethrower
Welcome to azelf land!
Its a standard azelf lead. I most comonly put down SR to start things of, unless its a fast lead that might be sashing aswell,
I find that many offensive leads carry taunt, this is usally a big problem as prediction is key here, and my prediction suck :).
Psychich is for stab, and works suprisingly well, Flamethrower for covrage and last but not least,
explosion. What a great move it is. Thought I feel that azelf might actully do better as a
special sweaper in my team, since I do sseam to lack a good one.
The other problem I have with this guy is that sure, U get a SR up, but then again you are "wasting a good poke",
im thinking of putting down SR on swamp maybe...

Swampert (M) @ Damp Rock
Ability: Torrent
EVs: 240 HP / 216 Def / 52 SpA
Relaxed nature (+Def, -Spd)
- Earthquake
- Hydro Pump
- Roar
- Ice Beam
swampieswampieswampie
This is the meat and bone of my team, if I need someone to take a hit, its most commonly this guy.
He far from the best wall in the game, but he can get the job done and so far hes done pretty well in shoddy.
As you can see this is a MIXpert, the reason for the EV spred is for taking down walls that give me trouble, like skarmory.
I havnt done any damage calcs, but from what I can see, a Rainboosted Hydro pump does around 50% to skarmory.
Roar is very nice addition on swamp, since he can get rid of walls that he cant take down, and also shuffle opponents team around
for scouting purpose and ofc SR dmg.

Gyarados (M) @ Life Orb; Replacing kabutops
Ability: Intimidate
EVs: 4 HP/252 Atk/252 Spd
Adamant nature (+Atk, -SAtk)
- Dragon Dance
- Waterfall
- Stone Edge
- Ice Fang
GYYYYAAARGH!
Thanks for all the input guys, I descided that it was time to let kabutops go.
And once again im here with a gyarados.
This poke is no stranger to anyone here I suppose, being one of the most common OU attackers, or atleast used to be.
Its a VERY standard set, even thought I might actully change it to be my starter and se how that works out.
So dragondance up and fire away, its simple really.
Ice Fang is for breeloom and other grass/flying. Stone edge for other gyaras and waterfall is STAB.
Thats it for now, I might add a bit more later. Right now I only want to get this team rated.

Flygon (M) @ Choice Scarf
Ability: Levitate
EVs: 252 Atk/176 Spd/80 SAtk
Naughty nature (+Atk, -SDef)
- Earthquake
- Outrage
- U-turn
- Draco Meteor
Brand new
So this is the newest addition to my team, seeing its the first teama to use him.
Il keep this short since im no expert on flygon.
This is my triumph card atm, lategame sweaper, and he does it pretty well.
Im thinking of going with a Life Orb set instead, and maybe putting roost on there, but then again...
I´ve seen him get OHKO´d many times aswell, so im not sure about this guy...
hes cool, and a good poke indeed, im not entierly sure how to use him :).
I really need feedback here.

Venusaur (M) @ Leftovers
Ability: Overgrow
EVs: 6 HP/252 Atk/126 Def/126 SDef
Bold nature (+Def, -Atk)
- Leech Seed
- Grass Knot
- Sludge Bomb
- Sleep Powder
My old B/R/Y favorite is back.
So yeah... venusaur, a strange pick many would say, but dont underestimate him.
To be honest, I see no reason why this pokemon is not in the OU tier, sure someone would argue that Celebie is a better pick for this slot
but thats a bit ignorant I think. They are different pokes and they are not used in the same way.
Venusaur can come in on some of the major physical offensive threats of the metagame like
Gyarados, Electivire, and Medicham along with special stars like Raikou, Zapdos, Jolteon, and Suicune and foil any chance at a sweep.
Also having the typing Grass/poisen gives him another great STAB move in the form ov Sludge Bomb, witch is my main resource against breloom and other grass pokemon.
Grass knot is there for obvious reasons.
So this is how it works. Switch in venu to take a hit (He does great with good SPDEF and DEF), Sleep powder, either sleeping the counter witch switches in, or sleep the pokemon that stayed in.
Leach seed up eaither way its hitting.
Its been working out great, and he works wonders VS big HPmonsters like snorlax and blissey.
ive been thinking of going with a SUB/seed set here, but then again, breloom does that much better.

Dusknoir (M) @ Leftovers
Ability: Pressure
EVs: 252 HP/252 Def/6 SAtk
Impish nature (+Def, -SAtk)
- Calm Mind
- Will-o-wisp
- Pain Split
- Ice Beam

Friendly neighborhood Ghost!
Welcome to the end of this post and my last pokemon. Dusknoir.
Im sure many of you are familiar with this guy since its far from rare on shoddy and wifi, and for a good reason.
The set im using is not standard, thought the EV´s are standard.
WOW is great for crippling physical attackers and wearing down opponents team before the kill, even thought its not 100% accurate
it really is a great move.
Ice beam is here for one reason, dragons and flying. I have no electric attacks, and no ice attacks on anything els except on this guy.
Painsplit is for making it more durable and is wonderfull VS HPmonsters such as blissey, and finally the last move. Calm Mind.
So a calm mind on duskie eh? Some would argue that spritomb is a better choice for this, and he might be on some level. But duskie got something
spiritomb doesnt, namely Ice Beam and Focus Blast. And I really need the icebeam :D
I cant really say alot about this guy other than that he works great, this is the guy I go to when I dont know what to exspect, and he has saved me
quite a few times in the past.

--------------------

So what do you guys think? Im trying something different here, and you are welcome to change anything (even my pokemon) thought I might not go through with the changes ;).
This team obviously needs some tweaking and im sure you guys can help me with that.

Thanks alot! BYE!

I think I played this team earlier, and I wasn't impressed too much.

I don't see the point in running Rain Dance on Swampert, as it's only really benefitting Hydro Pump on occasion, Kabutops and maybe allowing Venusaur to survive a Fire-type attack. But at the same time you're weakening Flygon and Azelf's Fire moves, while inviting Water-type attacks from threats like Suicune or Starmie which you can only resist through Venusaur, who fears Ice Beam.

If you're going to use Rain Dance, I'd suggest building the majority, if not all of your team around it.

I'd probably make Swampert a little more defensive and give it Ice Beam over Rain Dance to help KO Dragon Dance Salamence. Along with this, I'd increase your revenge killing prospects by adding Choice Scarf to Flygon as you may struggle to revenge Pokémon like Latias (or Latios if playing Suspect).

Replace Kabutops, as if it's not on a Rain Dance team it's normally not very useful at all. I'd either go for a heavy hitter that provides good synergy with the rest of your team, or something like Zapdos to make Scizor less of a threat.

Ok, thanks for the input. Most of u said sound pretty alright. Replacing RD on swampert for ice beam. Removing kabutops but keeping him untill I figure out what to replace him with.

Making swampert a bit more bulky.

Please suggest a good FUN pokemon to replace kabutops

Im thinking Toxicroak? Might even go a Gyarados?

Flygon can never be referred to as a Salamence counter, only a revenge killer. You'd have to run a +Speed nature if you want any hope of beating a Dragon Danced Salamence. Using 299 Speed (252 EVs with a neutral nature) will often only result in a tie. You'll have to run Naive.

To me, it looks like you're using Pokemon to do certain things, when there are many better Pokemon to do the same thing except more efficiently.

Dusknoir for example. In my opinion he's really outdated. Rotom-A can do a much better job nowadays.

Another one is Venasaur. Why do you have him? Roserade can do it's job better, but personally I think you should completely change it to something else. It doesn't fit well into the team.

I hate to say it but really I think you're team should be a little more mainstream. Using UU's in OU doesn't win you any rewards, it just makes your team look bad.
