Who reading this has played Ocarina of Time? The author has and my personal favorite song is the Song of Storms. The game is my favorite video game I own ( I repeat, that I own. I lack SSMB, which would trump it!). As such, I made a rain team based off of Zelda. Here goes

Gekko (Politoed) (F) @ Choice Scarf
Trait: Drizzle
Shiny: Yes
EVs: 252 SAtk / 252 Spd / 4 HP
Timid Nature
- Hydro Pump
- Ice Beam
- Hidden Power [Grass]
- Focus Blast
Alright, lets get it in. Scarftoed is good. Like, REALLY good. Although it falls two point short of outpacing base 130's, I still like it. Rain support plus revenge-killing is strong. Enough said.

Shell Blade (Starmie) @ Leftovers
Trait: Natural Cure
Shiny: Yes
EVs: 252 SAtk / 252 Spd / 4 HP
Timid Nature
- Rapid Spin
- Thunder
- Surf
- Ice Beam
That's right. The bitch from Misty's gym is back and ready to rock'n'spin. It serves as my spinner, check to Latios, and general utility poke. Starmie has won me many games, as it is the fastest poke other than Politoed, who hits like a punch from Alakazam.

Epona (Keldeo) @ Expert Belt
Trait: Justified
EVs: 252 Spd / 252 SAtk / 4 SDef
Timid Nature
IVs: 30 SAtk
- Hydro Pump
- Secret Sword
- Hidden Power [electric]
- Icy Wind
If this thing could talk, it would say, "I DON'T GIVE A FUCK ABOUT YO RESISTANCE!!! Expert Belt Keldeo should be a set, cause it works. I can't tell you how many times this thing has used Hydro Pump to kill something, only to kill off the opponents Ferrothorn with Secret Sword. Moves should be natural, giving me the best coverage overall. oh yeah, and FUCK YEAH EPONA.

Bari (Jellicent) (M) @ Leftovers
Trait: Water Absorb
EVs: 252 HP / 84 SDef / 172 SAtk
Calm Nature
- Scald
- Recover
- Hidden Power [Electric]
- Toxic
This and Ferrothorn is the defensive core of the team. This thing is amazing. This is where we start to get into my weird sets. The first three moves are standard, but HP electric? WHAT? The SpA investment allows me to 2hko Tentacruel after rocks. This is great for my team, as it lacks a reliable way to take it out.

Gohma (Landorus-Therian) (M) @ Leftovers
Trait: Intimidate
EVs: 64 Atk / 200 HP / 244 Def
Adamant Nature
- Earthquake
- Stealth Rock
- Stone Edge
- U-turn
This thing keeps electric types from plowing through my team. Standard set, sets up SR reliably. Not much to say.

Like Like (Ferrothorn) @ Lum Berry
Trait: Iron Barbs
Shiny: Yes
EVs: 180 Atk / 252 Def / 76 HP
Brave Nature
IVs: 0 Spd
- Spikes
- Protect
- Gyro Ball
- Leech Seed
This thing RULEZ. Everything is standard except two things. One, EV's and two Lum berry. Those two things allow me to beat Breloom, something that plows through my team. It is a 97% chance to OHKO with Only stealth Rock up. This is very important. BTW the pic is the perfect persona for ferrothorn.
In conclusion, this is my sucsessful OU rain team. Current win to loss is 57-13. Not bad huh? Add three tournement wins and 5 runner-ups, and you have the start of a good team. Please don't do anything stupid like post that I should change Scarftoed to SpecsNinetails.
BYE BYE NOW
Note: because I am lazy, there won't be any sprites just a team list.
First up, it's a rain team. POLITOED ANYONE!!!!!!
Politoed
Alright, now for some abusers. Starmie and Tornadus are good. Throw a standard Hurricane, Superpower, U-Turn, and Heat Wave with LO, and for Starmie, I ran Thunder, Ice Beam, Recover, Rapid Spin. (What can I say I was a noob.)
Politoed/Starmie/Tornadus-T
Now I need a ghost type and a hazard user. I went with Jellicent and Ferro, respectively.
Politoed/Starmie/Tornadus-T/Jellicent/Ferrothorn
Now I need a physical attacker, so in came Scizor
Politoed/Starmie/Tornadus-T/Jellicent/Ferrothorn/Scizor
This worked well, but then Smogon banned Tornadus-T. I revamped the team by adding Keldeo and changing Politoed from specially defensive to Scarftoed.
Politoed/Starmie/Keldeo/Jellicent/Ferrothorn/Scizor
Now my team was too weak to electric types, specifically Jolteon. Then, brilliance struck. USE LANDORUS_T!! I replaced Scizor for it.
Politoed/Starmie/Tornadus-T/Jellicent/Ferrothorn/Landorus-T
Now pay attention. Some of my sets are unorthodox.
