ORAS UU Soooo I made another HO team

Hello there I am back with another UU team. Going 1500+ on the ladder.

This one features the man the legend slurpuff. Who annihilates unprepared teams. So let's jump in.

slurpuff.gif

Slurpuff @ Sitrus Berry
Ability: Unburden
Happiness: 0
EVs: 12 HP / 252 Atk / 4 SpD / 240 Spe
Jolly Nature
- Play Rough
- Drain Punch
- Frustration
- Belly Drum

Here we have Slurpuff one of the scariest sweepers in UU imo. EV's are too outspeed scarfed heliolisk after unburden. Play rough is there for stab after a belly drum it OHKO's almost the whole tier who don't resist it. Drain punch to heal back up and also to hit steel types for super effective damage. Frustration is A bit stronger then drain punch and helps us KO poison types Also 100% accuracy unlike play rough. If this thing sets up there are only a few pokemon who can deal with it. Which brings me to my next poke.

druddigon.gif

Druddigon @ Rocky Helmet
Ability: Rough Skin
EVs: 248 HP / 252 Def / 8 SpD
Impish Nature
- Dragon Tail
- Earthquake
- Glare
- Stealth Rock

Only a few pokes can take a hit at +6 from slurpuff. 3 of them are Mega aggron, doublade and forretress. So that's were Druddigon shines. Switch in this guy and they take 29% damage helping to withle them down. Run max hp max defence so we can take as much damage from physical attackers as possible. Dragon tail to stop set up sweepers and juggle the foe's pokes racking up damage. Earthquake to hit fire/steel types harder. Glare is great being able to paralyze ground types also paralyzes is great on HO in general. Stealth Rocks is great making opposing mons take damage for every switch in. Also wrecks rapid spinners.

swampert.gif

Swampert @ Leftovers
Ability: Torrent
EVs: 252 HP / 4 Atk / 252 Def
Impish Nature
- Stealth Rock
- Earthquake
- Scald
- Roar

Double Stealth rocks?!? Yes I have been experimenting with this for a while now and I must say it has been working really well for me. Especially with opponents who really rely on removing rocks. You can BOP them setting up rocks again. Anyway this guy is a great wall in UU checking some very big threats like entei and Mamoswine. The moveset is fairly standard. EQ for STab. Scald for Burn. And roar to phase out setup sweepers.

krookodile.gif

Krookodile @ Choice Band
Ability: Intimidate
EVs: 252 Atk / 252 Spe
Jolly Nature
- Pursuit
- Knock Off
- Earthquake
- Superpower

As mentioned earlier one of the biggest slurpuff stopper is doublade. This guy I put in here to basically trap doublade with pursuit xD. The Intimidate is nice to weaken physical attackers. Knock off and EQ do a ton being backed by STAB and Band. Superpower to OHKO Mamoswine and wreck pokes who want to play the "will he roost game". EV's max speed and attack to pack the most punch.

pidgeot-mega.gif

Pidgeot @ Pidgeotite
Ability: Keen Eye
EVs: 252 SpA / 4 SpD / 252 Spe
Hasty Nature
- Hurricane
- U-turn
- Heat Wave
- Tailwind

The Bird was not banned from UU so might as well use it eh! 100% accurate 110 BP stab with 30% confuse rate yes please. U-turn to keep offensive momentum. Heat wave to hit those pesky steel types.
And the last move is interesting. Tailwind > Roost because pidgeot is kinda frail so roost doesn't really do much imo and Tailwind can win you games late with extra speed.

lucario.gif

Lucario @ Life Orb
Ability: Justified
EVs: 252 Atk / 4 SpD / 252 Spe
Jolly Nature
- Close Combat
- Extreme Speed
- Crunch
- Swords Dance

Last but definately not least the Egyptian god of Anubis. One of my favorite mons. Anyway I run jolly instead of Adamant because this team guy needs to outspeed Entei and Jolly Mamoswine on this team imo. Close combat because stab is great. Extreme speed is awesome +2 priority meaning only fake out goes before it in the UU Tier. Meaning not even prankster encore users like whimiscott Can stop this guy from setting up. Crunch to munch those psychic types like Cress/ Reuniclus. Also to put some nice percent on doublade. Last but not least Swords dance. +2 lucario reks face.

Thats's my team. Am open to feedback from you guys. Here are some replays. First one is a great example of double rocks winning the game.

Hey Tyty307, cool looking team you have here, its cool to see Druddigon being used in this tier. I'll try to rate this team based on the fact that Pidg will stay in the tier since voting isn't over, but it may not have a spot for long. One thing I noticed was that you have 2 rockers which was kind of odd as well. But anyway, I'd like to recommend a couple of things that would help this team out.

  • So first off, since you're using both Slurpuff and Lucario as set-up sweepers, I'd like to recommend a memento user. I'd use Scarf Chandelure over Swampert. This gives you a nice strong Fire-type offensive presence to help with stuff like Mega Aggron and Doublade as well as the memento user. This helps Lucario and Slurpuff set up easily on some of Chandy's switch-ins, most commonly Hydreigon or Florges. It's also a nice check to Fire Spam, which Swampert was pretty much doing.

    Chandelure @ Choice Scarf
    Ability: Flash Fire
    EVs: 252 SpA / 4 SpD / 252 Spe
    Timid Nature
    IVs: 0 Atk
    - Fire Blast
    - Shadow Ball
    - Trick / Energy Ball
    - Memento

  • If you do decide to go with Chandelure, I'd recommend using a Stealth Rock set on Krookodile. Since you lost Swampert, I feel like this is the perfect candidate to be your rocker. It provides an offensive presence as well, which is beneficial on any HO team. You also have room for a coverage move on Druddigon over Stealth Rock. I'd use a set like this on Rocks Krook.
    krookodile.gif

    Krookodile @ Dread Plate
    Ability: Intimidate
    EVs: 4 HP / 252 Atk / 252 Spe
    Jolly Nature
    - Stealth Rock
    - Earthquake
    - Knock Off
    - Pursuit
  • Lastly, I'd think about using Defog > Tailwind on Pidgeot. Just a recommendation but if you face webs it could be extremely annoying for your set-up sweepers. I'd also change the nature to Timid. U-turn is just for momentum and not actually getting damage off.
  • EDIT: Pidgeot just got banned from UU http://www.smogon.com/forums/threads/oras-uu-stage-3-2-voting.3544755/#post-6340583. I'd recommend Mega Aerodactyl in it's place with a set like this. It's pretty much just a quick sub, but I hope it works out!
    aerodactyl-mega.gif

    Aerodactyl-Mega @ Aerodactylite
    Ability: Tough Claws
    EVs: 252 Atk / 4 SpD / 252 Spe
    Jolly Nature
    - Stone Edge
    - Aerial Ace
    - Roost / Hone Claws / Earthquake
    - Defog
But anyway, this is still a very solid HO team and I hope you consider my recommendations. Good luck with your team!

The memento suggestion is really interesting I will look into that. I dont think I make these exact changes or else Mamo wrecks house going 6-0 on sticky web teams. Also torn on the tailwind > defog because tailwind gives me more speed then removing sticky webs in a pinch. Also Chandelure increases my weakness to rocks meaning I cant switch into fire as easily as Swampert.

Yeah I was kind of keen on keeping Druddigon but now that I think about it he's just kind of useless there if you do decide to go Rocks Krook. Regarding the mamoswine weakness if you use Suicune over Druddigon it decreases your weakness to Mamoswine and other Physical threats, which helps a ton. 2 mons weak to Stealth Rock isn't really that bad either tbh if you use Chandelure. Also if you're keen on keeping tailwind you could fit it on Suicune as well (Mega Pidgeot was just banned). Here's the set I'd use.
suicune.gif

Suicune @ Leftovers
Ability: Pressure
EVs: 252 HP / 236 Def / 20 Spe
Bold Nature
- Scald
- Rest
- Roar / Tailwind / Sleep Talk
- Calm Mind / Tailwind

Hey Tyty307 cool team concept you have here. I like your use on Intimidate on Krookodile paired with Slurpuff, making it easier for Slurpuff to set up on an intimidated Pokemon. Anyway, I have a few suggestions that I think will optimize this teams potential.

Since Mega Pidgeot was banned from UU yesterday, I believe changing to Mega Aerodactyl is a solid alternative just like Shiba suggested. The set should look like this:

Aerodactyl-Mega @ Aerodactylite
Ability: Tough Claws
EVs: 252 Atk / 4 SpD / 252 Spe
Adamant Nature / Jolly Nature
- Stone Edge
- Aerial Ace
- Pursuit / Roost
- Defog

When using Slurpuff, hazard control is mandatory. Slurpuff gets most of its opportunity to set up when Hazards are removed. That is why Defog on Aerodactyl is needed.

I see that you have Stealth Rock on two different pokemon. That is almost never needed on a team and I feel you are wasting a pokemon slot having both Swampert and Druddigon on the same team as they are playing identical rolls. Since you lost Mega Pidgeot, your special attacking presence, I think a change of Hydreigon > Druddigon would work perfectly. I am thinking your best bet is Choice Specs to really drop nukes and break wholes in your opponents team. Druddigon, as I stated, was filling the same roll Swampert was doing as a Stealth Rocker that checks Fire Types. Hydreigon is another Dragon Type that will give you that special attacking presence that your team really needed as well as a secondary ground immunity.

Hydreigon @ Choice Specs
Ability: Levitate
EVs: 252 SpA / 4 SpD / 252 Spe
Timid Nature
- Draco Meteor
- Dark Pulse
- Fire Blast
- U-turn / Flash Cannon

With those changes, I think you have your self a solid ORAS UU team here and I wish you best of luck!
