Set Description
=========

This set aims to turn Toxapex into a strong special wall that can check a large swath of special attackers such as Volcanion, Dragapult, Blacephalon, and Volcarona while still being able to handle physical attackers like Urshifu-R and Weavile with its incredible defensive typing and good physical bulk even without investment. Knock Off lets Toxapex hamper wallbreakers like Choice Specs Dragapult and Choice Band Urshifu-R while also removing Heavy-Duty Boots and Leftovers from the likes of Zapdos and Landorus-T. Toxic puts switch-ins like Slowbro and Tornadus-T on a timer. The burn chance from Scald is noteworthy, as Toxapex will have a lot of opportunities to come in and fire off the move, giving it chances to burn switch-ins like Galarian Slowking and Ferrothorn. Poison Jab gives Toxapex the ability to beat Calm Mind Tapu Fini. Haze and Recover ensure that Toxapex can keep up its walling capabilities, as without Haze, it will critically fail to check setup sweepers like Substitute + Quiver Dance Volcarona effectively. Should your team have appropriate counterplay versus these setup sweepers, Light Screen can be considered to support the team with counterplay against Future Sight while also easing prediction against special attackers like Zapdos and Tapu Lele. The given special bulk investment ensures that Toxapex can shrug off special hits from the likes of Dragapult and Volcanion effectively. 20 Defense EVs let Toxapex survive unboosted Modest Tapu Lele's Psyshock at full health, allowing Toxapex to either poison it with Toxic or remove its item with Knock Off. Shed Shell enables Toxapex to avoid being trapped by Heatran's Magma storm and irritate it with STAB Scald or Knock Off before switching out, while Black Sludge can allow Toxapex to effectively disrupt Trick users like Blacephalon and gives Toxapex even more longevity.

Team Options
========

Seeing as this Toxapex set is not a catch-all for physical attackers, you will need to account for this when picking teammates. Physically defensive Corviknight is a standard pairing with specially defensive Toxapex, as it can check threats like Landorus-T, Rillaboom, Kartana, and Melmetal while also clearing away entry hazards with Defog. Zapdos can fill a similar role to the aforementioned Corviknight while also acting as a good special attacker, which makes up for Toxapex's passivity. Tornadus-T is another option that can allow Toxapex to drop Knock Off for Toxic, as Tornadus-T is incredibly efficient at removing items. It can also set up with Nasty Plot and KO Pokemon like Heatran which would otherwise check Toxapex. Clefable is a good partner to Toxapex, as it can check threats like Garchomp and Weavile while having the ability to set Stealth Rock effectively, remove items with Knock Off, or be an Unaware tank that can effectively match them. Buzzwole is a physical tank that can check Weavile and Kartana, as well as key threats like Choice Band Tyranitar, which specially defensive Toxapex cannot effectively handle. Offensive Steel-types like Melmetal also help out Toxapex by a fair amount, as Toxapex is deathly afraid of staring down Tapu Lele, which Melmetal can handily scare out. Toxapex has good type synergy with bulky Ground-types such as Landorus-T and Garchomp that can threaten its checks like Magma Storm Heatran, Galarian Slowking, and Electric-types like Tapu Koko with their strong STAB Earthquakes.

This set aims to turn Toxapex into a rigid special wall that can check a large swath of special attackers such as Volcanion, Dragapult, Blacephalon and Volcarona while still having stray utility from how Toxapex even while uninvested can being able to handle physical attackers like Urshifu-R and Weavile with its incredible defensive typing and good physical bulk even without investment. Maximum investment in HP and 240 Special Defense ensures it can shrug off special hits effectively. 20 Defense EVs is chosen as it can critically survive a non-Choice Specs unboosted modest Tapu Lele Psyshock at full health, allowing Toxapex to either status it with Toxic or remove its' item with Knock Off. Recover, Haze and Scald are the primary ways Toxapex will ensure and keep up its walling capabilities and a Toxapex without Haze will critically fail to check threats like Substitute + Quiver Dance Volcarona effectively. The burn chance from Scald is also noteworthy, Toxapex will have a lot of opportunities to come in and fire off the move giving you chances to burn switch ins like Slowking-Galar and Landorus-Therian (I have never seen Landorus-T ever switch into Pex unless it's on a predicted Recover turn or if the player cannot stop writing walls of text proclaiming their hatred of Scald on the forums. Ferrothorn feels like a better example here.). The move choice in Knock Off and Toxic will come down to what the team requires; If your team lacks reliable item removal, Knock Off is mandatory,. sShould this not be the case, Toxic can be chosen to put switch-ins like Slowbro and Tornadus-Therian on a timer. The choice between Black Sludge and Shed Shell is relatively significant, as Black Sludge will allow Toxapex to effectively deny disruption like Trick and gives Toxapex even more longevity while Shed Shell will allow Toxapex to avoid being trapped by Heatran's Magma Storm and irritate it with STAB Scald or item removal in Knock Off before switching out.

Seeing as this Toxapex set will not be a catch-all on physical attackers, one will need to account for this when picking teammates. Physically defensive Corviknight is a pretty standard pairing with specially defensive Toxapex as it will check threats like Landorus-Therian, Rillaboom, Kartana, and Melmetal while also clearing away hazards with Defog. Zapdos can fill a similar role to the aforementioned Corviknight and will also act as a good special attacking threat. Tornadus-Therian is another option that can allow Toxapex to drop Knock Off for Toxic seeing as Tornadus-Therian is incredibly efficient at removing items (perhaps mention how Nasty Plot Tornadus-T can give some offensive punch to the passive structures that Toxapex often finds itself on?). Clefable is a good partner to Toxapex as it will check threats like Garchomp and Weavile while having the ability to set hazards effectively with Stealth Rock (Knock Off and Unaware surely deserve a mention here). Buzzwole has a similar defensive profile to Clefable (this needs rewriting as Clefable can check special attackers in a pinch with its natural special bulk and can take on Dragon-types, they're pretty different) and can critically check threats like Choice Band Tyranitar which a specially defensive Toxapex can not effectively handle. Offensive partners like Melmetal (Heatran?) also help out Toxapex by a fair amount as Toxapex is deathly afraid of staring down Tapu Lele which Melmetal will handily scare out. Finally Toxapex forms a has good type synergy with bulky ground Ground-types such as Landorus-Therian and Garchomp who can threaten Toxapex checks like Magma Storm Heatran and Slowking-Galar with their strong STAB Earthquakes (mention how they can take on Electric-types).

Set Description

This set aims to turn Toxapex into a rigid more of a gp thing, but this wording implies that spdef pex isnt flexible, despite later mentioning its variance. use something more akin to strong here special wall that can check a large swath of special attackers such as Volcanion, Dragapult, Blacephalon and Volcarona while still being able to handle physical attackers like Urshifu-R and Weavile with its incredible defensive typing and good physical bulk even without investment. Maximum investment in HP and 240 Special Defense ensures it can shrug off special hits effectively any in particular that this investment helps significantly against?. 20 Defense EVs is chosen as it can critically survive an unboosted modest Tapu Lele Psyshock at full health, allowing Toxapex to either status it with Toxic or remove its item with Knock Off. Haze and Recover are the primary ways Toxapex will ensure and keep up its walling capabilities, as a Toxapex without Haze will critically fail to check threats like Substitute + Quiver Dance Volcarona effectively. Should a team have appropriate counterplay versus these set up sweepers Light Screen can be considered to support the team with counterplay against Future Sight you can also mention how it can ease prediction against stuff like lele and zapdos switching in. The burn chance from Scald is also noteworthy, Toxapex will have a lot of opportunities to come in and fire off the move giving you chances to burn switch-ins like Slowking-Galar and Ferrothorn. Another option to consider is Poison Jab, which gives Toxapex the ability to beat the set-up Sweeper Calm Mind Tapu Fini. The move choice in Knock Off and Toxic will come down to what the team requires; If your team lacks reliable item removal, Knock Off is mandatory rewrite this and frame it less definitively, among the lines of "knock off lets toxapex remove opponents' items" and then explain the utility of that from there. Should this not be the case, Toxic can be chosen to put switch-ins like Slowbro and Tornadus-Therian on a timer. The choice between Black Sludge and Shed Shell is significant, as Black Sludge will allow Toxapex to effectively deny disruption examples of trick users that it inhibits? also it doesnt really deny the item disruption, rather it disrupts the trick users like Trick and gives Toxapex even more longevity while Shed Shell will allow Toxapex to avoid being trapped by Heatran's Magma Storm and irritate it with STAB Scald or item removal in Knock Off before switching out.

Zapdos can fill a similar role to the aforementioned Corviknight and will also act as a good special attacking threat elaborate a bit further on how it makes up for toxapex's general passivity. Tornadus-T is another option that can allow Toxapex to drop Knock Off for Toxic seeing as Tornadus-T is incredibly efficient at removing items or being able to set up NP and KO things that would otherwise check Toxapex. Clefable is a good partner to Toxapex as it will check threats like Garchomp and Weavile while having the ability to set hazards effectively with Stealth Rock, remove items with Knock Off or be an Unaware tank that can effectively match them. i think you can combine the three defoggers into two sentences for the sake of concision. in the first sentence, explain why defog support is so important and then in the second sentence talk about their individual strengths. also elaborate more on entry hazard setters and how toxapex appreciates the additional chip damage combined with toxic or how toxapex can more efficiently punish hdb users with knock off.

Set Description (I re-arranged the sentences in this paragraph to follow the general structure of similar paragraphs in other analyses, as it was hard to follow otherwise.)
=========

This set aims to turn Toxapex into a strong special wall that can check a large swath of special attackers such as Volcanion, Dragapult, Blacephalon, (AC) and Volcarona while still being able to handle physical attackers like Urshifu-R and Weavile with its incredible defensive typing and good physical bulk even without investment. Knock Off lets Toxapex remove opponents' items (dex info) which can hamper wallbreakers like Choice Specs Dragapult and Choice Band Urshifu-R while also removing Heavy-Duty (AH) Boots and Leftovers from the likes of Zapdos and Landorus-T. Toxapex can choose to run (fluff) Toxic which will puts switch-ins like Slowbro and Tornadus-Therian on a timer. The move choice in Knock Off and Toxic will come down to what the team requires. (I would ask for QC input to change this to say that Toxapex can run both Knock Off and Toxic if the player's team requires both of their utilities, as the current sentence can be implied and probably removed.) The burn chance from Scald is also noteworthy, as Toxapex will have a lot of opportunities to come in and fire off the move, (AC) giving it chances to burn switch-ins like Galarian Slowking-Galar (refer to regional formes with their official names) and Ferrothorn. Another option to consider is (fluff) Poison Jab, which gives Toxapex the ability to beat Calm Mind Tapu Fini. Haze and Recover are the primary ways ensure that Toxapex will ensure and can keep up its walling capabilities, (condensed down for brevity) as a Toxapex without Haze, (AC) it will critically fail to check threats (given the context, maybe elaborate that they're setup sweepers) like Substitute + Quiver Dance Volcarona effectively. Should a your team have appropriate counterplay versus these setup (RS) sweepers, (AC) Light Screen can be considered to support the team with counterplay against Future Sight while also easing prediction against special attackers like Zapdos and Tapu Lele. Maximum investment in HP and 240 Special Defense The given special bulk investment (brevity) ensures that it Toxapex can shrug off special hits from the likes of Dragapult and Volcanion effectively. 20 Defense EVs is chosen as it can let Toxapex critically survive an unboosted modest Modest Tapu Lele's Psyshock at full health, allowing Toxapex to either status poison it with Toxic or remove its item with Knock Off. The choice between Black Sludge and Shed Shell is significant, (you're already explaining the benefits to each held item, so idt this is needed) as Shed Shell enables (changed from "allow" to avoid repetition) Toxapex to avoid being trapped by Heatran's Magma Storm and irritate it with STAB Scald or Knock Off before switching out, while Black Sludge will can allow Toxapex to effectively deny disrupt Trick from the users likes of Blacephalon (implemented from BT89's QC check for clarity, as Black Sludge doesn't deny Trick's effect from occurring) and gives Toxapex even more longevity. (AP) while Shed Shell will allow Toxapex to avoid being trapped by Heatran's Magma Storm and irritate it with STAB Scald or item removal in Knock Off before switching out. (Moved Shed Shell in front of Black Sludge to match item order of set.)

Team Options

Seeing as this Toxapex set will not be is not a catch-all on for physical attackers, one you will need to account for this when picking teammates. Physically defensive Corviknight is a standard pairing with specially defensive Toxapex, (AC) as it will can check threats like Landorus-T, Rillaboom, Kartana, and Melmetal while also clearing away entry hazards with Defog. Zapdos can fill a similar role to the aforementioned Corviknight and will while also acting as a good special attacking threat attacker, (AC) which makes up for Toxapex's passivity. Tornadus-T is another option that can allow Toxapex to drop Knock Off for Toxic, (AC) seeing as Tornadus-T is incredibly efficient at removing items. (AP) (Splitting sentence into two here, as the merits to using Nasty Plot are separate from using Knock Off) or being able to It can also set up with NP Nasty Plot and KO things Pokemon (maybe an example here would be appropriate) that would otherwise check Toxapex. Clefable is a good partner to Toxapex, (AC) as it will can check threats like Garchomp and Weavile while having the ability to set hazards Stealth Rock effectively with Stealth Rock, remove items with Knock Off, (AC) or be an Unaware tank that can effectively match them. Buzzwole is a physical tank that can check Weavile and Kartana, and can critically check as well as key threats like Choice Band Tyranitar, (AC) which a specially defensive Toxapex cannot (RS) effectively handle. Offensive Steel-types like Melmetal also help out Toxapex by a fair amount, (AC) as Toxapex is deathly afraid of staring down Tapu Lele, (AC) which Melmetal will can handily scare out. Toxapex has good type synergy with bulky Ground-types such as Landorus-Therian and Garchomp who that can threaten Toxapex its checks like Magma Storm Heatran, (AC) Galarian Slowking-Galar, and Electric-types like Tapu Koko with their strong STAB Earthquakes.

(On using "will": "Will" implies that something is happening or guaranteed to happen in the future. This doesn't work in many of the sentences above where you're explaining that a Pokemon or item does or is able to do something without any specific time interval; it doesn't necessarily mean that it will happen in an actual match.)
