[SET COMMENTS]
Specially defensive Yveltal is one of the most useful Pokemon in the metagame due to it checking Calyrex-S, one of the biggest threats in the tier, like no other. Foul Play deals heavy damage to physically offensive Pokemon such as Zacian-C, Marshadow, and Groudon, while Knock Off cripples Ho-Oh, Yveltal, Ferrothorn, and Eternatus. U-turn allows Yveltal to maintain momentum, providing opportunities for teammates to come in safely. Snarl allows it to counter SubSeed Calyrex-S and check specially offensive Pokemon such as Eternatus and Life Orb Yveltal. Heavy-Duty Boots prevents Yveltal from getting worn down by Stealth Rock. Maximum Special Defense investment and 248 HP EVs with a Calm nature ensure that it can tank attacks from Life Orb Calyrex-S and specially offensive Yveltal as well as possible, while 8 Defense EVs allow Yveltal to survive Close Combat from +1 Jolly Life Orb Marshadow. Alternatively, 32 Attack EVs with an Adamant nature ensure that Yveltal breaks Calyrex-S's Substitute with U-turn. A fast spread of 248 HP / 8 Def / 68 SpD / 184 Spe allows Yveltal to switch into Life Orb Groudon as it uses Swords Dance and use Foul Play before it can attack, threatening to OHKO it unless it Dynamaxes.

Yveltal best fits on balance teams, and its defensive presence is appreciated by Pokemon vulnerable to Calyrex-S such as Necrozma-DM and Eternatus. Necrozma-DM, in return, checks Zacian-C and Xerneas, which are common threats to Yveltal, while Eternatus is able to check Kyogre and relieve some pressure on checking special Yveltal. Blissey is able to check threats to Yveltal such as Kyogre, Meteor Beam Eternatus, and Xerneas. Ferrothorn also limits Kyogre and Xerneas, while Yveltal can support Ferrothorn's entry hazards by removing Heavy-Duty Boots with Knock Off and preventing Defog if carrying Taunt. Physically defensive walls such as Lunala and Zygarde-C can check physically offensive Pokemon such as Groudon and Zekrom, which pose a huge threat to non-Foul Play Yveltal. Ho-Oh can be useful to pressure opposing Ferrothorn and Yveltal, pivot into Zacian-C, and absorb status, and it has the option to use a more offensive set with Yveltal fulfilling the Defogger role. Wallbreakers such as Calyrex-S, Zacian-C, Choice Specs Kyogre, and Marshadow take advantage of Yveltal's U-turn. Calyrex-S in particular appreciates Yveltal Imposter-proofing its team and pressuring opposing Yveltal with Knock Off or Taunt. In return, Calyrex-S forces out Zacian-C and Eternatus, can use Aromatherapy, and checks many boosted threats with its Choice Scarf set.

Taunt can be used to prevent recovery, status, setup, and entry hazards from other defensive Pokemon like Yveltal, Ferrothorn, Zygarde-C and Necrozma-DM. However, Yveltal has to sacrifice its second or third moveslot for it. Sucker Punch can be used on a three attacks set with U-turn in order to potentially KO boosted Calyrex-S, which would otherwise overwhelm Yveltal with Max Starfall, as well as pick off or weaken foes like Marshadow and Dragon Dance Necrozma-DM. However, it can be scouted with Substitute Calyrex-S and is easily exploitable once the opponent is aware of it. Toxic can cripple opposing specially defensive Yveltal and Ho-Oh better but is not recommended due to it possibly making Yveltal too passive.

Checks and Counters
===================
**Physically Offensive Pokemon**: Physically offensive Pokemon such as Zacian-C, Groudon, setup Zygarde-C, and Zekrom force Yveltal out and can potentially use non-Foul Play variants as setup fodder.

**Xerneas**: As a powerful Fairy-type, Xerneas is one of the biggest threats to Yveltal. Xerneas can also capitalize on Yveltal being passive with Geomancy and pose a large sweeping threat. Xerneas should be careful switching into Knock Off Yveltal, though, as it will risk losing Power Herb.

**Knock Off**: Yveltal has to watch out for Knock Off from opposing Yveltal, Necrozma-DM, and Ferrothorn, as it becomes a lot easier to wear down with Stealth Rock , which is amplified by it very often being the only Defogger on teams. Losing Heavy-Duty Boots also makes it significantly more susceptible to Calyrex-S and entry hazard stacking cores.

**Status**: Walls such as Ho-Oh, Eternatus, Zygarde-C, and Toxic Ferrothorn can pressure Yveltal with the status moves they carry. Ho-Oh in particular can still cripple Taunt Yveltal with Sacred Fire, while Ferrothorn can stack up entry hazards, compelling Yveltal to come in more often and get worn down more quickly. However, both must be wary of getting their items removed by Knock Off.

**Special Wallbreakers**: Pokemon such as Kyogre and Eternatus can heavily damage Yveltal and force it to switch out. Choice Specs Kyogre and Meteor Beam Eternatus have the potential to greatly harm or OHKO Yveltal, while bulky Calm Mind Kyogre can set up on it and Life Orb Eternatus can force it to repeatedly use Roost while fishing for poison with Sludge Bomb.

Specially defensive Yveltal is one of the most useful Pokemon in the metagame due to its good bulk, Special Defense, and a typing allowing it to check Calyrex-S really well emphasize that it's the most reliable check to calyrex-s, which otherwise sweeps through teams with ease due to its great Speed, Special Attack, and powerful STAB moves. With the help of Heavy-Duty Boots, Yveltal stays away from entry hazards and remains at full health while switching in. Foul Play deals heavy damage to physically offensive Pokemon such as Zacian-C, Marshadow, and Groudon while Knock Off removes Heavy-Duty Boots from Ho-Oh and other opposing specially defensive Yveltal and as well as Power Herb from Xerneas on the switch in. Knock Off is also able to heavily damage Eternatus and Ferrothorn and remove their passive source of recovery in Black Sludge and Leftovers, respectively. Under Dynamax, both Knock Off and Foul Play, with the help of Dark Aura, heavily damage Blissey which is able to wall Yveltal pretty well and can cripple Yveltal with Toxic. U-Turn allows Yveltal to pivot into teammates after forcing Calyrex-S out and bring a teammate in on switch-ins like Zacian-C and Xerneas to deal with them. Snarl allows it to check SubSeed Calyrex-S and pressure Specially offensive Pokemon such as Eternatus and Life Orb Yveltal by lowering their Special Attack. With Defog, Yveltal is able to clear entry hazards for its teammates while Roost allows it to recover from hits. Maximum Special Defense investment and 248 HP EVs with a Calm nature and 248 HP EVs ensures that it can tank Max Starfall from Life Orb Calyrex-S while the rest EVs invested in Defense allow Yveltal to survive Close Combat from Jolly Marshadow at +1 Attack. Ferrothorn also provides a useful way to limit Kyogre and Xerneas due to its useful typing against them. Defensive Physically defensive walls such as Lunala and Zygarde-C can wall physically offensive Pokemon such as Groudon and Zekrom that possess a huge threat to non-Foul Play variants of Yveltal and can potentially use it as a setup fodder. Ho-Oh pressures Yveltal with Toxic and also deals heavy damage with Sacred Fire while being able to pivot into teammates easily due to Regenerator. Although, Ho-Oh as a teammate can be useful as it can pressure opposing Yveltal and Ferrothorn which can be a troublesome foe due to Iron Barbs and Leech Seed.

Sucker Punch can be used in order to outspeed boosted Calyrex-S, which overwhelms Yveltal with Max Starfall. Yveltal with Sucker Punch can act as a revenge killer if the team is lacking one, picking off weakened foes like Marshadow and Dragon Dance Necrozma-DM. However, it fails unless the opponent is attacking and can be potentially used by foes to set themselves up. Toxic can be used in order to pressure other opposing specially defensive Yveltal and Ho-Oh better but is not recommended due to it possibly making Yveltal too passive.

Xerneas can also capitalize on Yveltal being passive using Geomancy allowing it to sweep through teams barring some Pokemon. Xerneas should be careful on switching into Knock Off Yveltal, though, as it will risk losing Power Herb and become unable to set Geomancy.

**Specially Defensive Walls**: Specially defensive walls such as Blissey, blissey isn't staying in on yve Ho-Oh, and Ferrothorn can pressure Yveltal with Toxic and Leech Seed, respectively. **Other Counters Special Wallbreakers "other counters" comes off as kinda vague, so use better terms here**: Pokemon such as Kyogre and Eternatus can heavily damage Yveltal and can force it to switch out. Bulky Kyogre can switch into Yveltal and trap it using Block set up on it using Calm Mind i probably would exclude block kyogre since yveltal can pivot out with u-turn allowing Calyrex-S to gain momentum. Eternatus is able to pressure it using Toxic and can recover from Yveltal's hits.

Specially defensive Yveltal is one of the most useful Pokemon in the metagame due to its typing, good special bulk, Special Defense same as saying it has good bulk, and access to reliable recovery, moves and a typing allowing it to check Calyrex-S, one of the biggest threats in the tier, like no other, which otherwise sweeps through teams with ease due to its great Speed, Special Attack, and powerful STAB moves cut fluff, reordered. With the help of Heavy-Duty Boots, Yveltal stays away from entry hazards and remains at full health while switching in this sentence is a bit clunky, I think you could just say "Heavy-Duty Boots prevents Yveltal from getting worn down by Stealth Rock". I also think you could move it to the end of this paragraph. Foul Play deals heavy damage to physically offensive Pokemon such as Zacian-C, Marshadow, and Groudon while Knock Off removes Heavy-Duty Boots from Ho-Oh and opposing specially defensive Yveltal as well as Power Herb from Xerneas on the switch. Knock Off is also able to heavily damage Eternatus and Ferrothorn and remove their passive source of recovery in Black Sludge and Leftovers, respectively you could probably condense these one and a half sentences about knock off into something like "...while Knock Off cripples Ho-oh, Yveltal, etc.". Under Dynamax, both Knock Off and Foul Play, with the help of Dark Aura, heavily damage Blissey which is able to wall Yveltal pretty well and can cripple Yveltal with Toxic i don't think this sentence is necessary tbh, it would fit better in the 'Checks and Counters' section if Blissey was mentioned there. U-turn allows Yveltal to act as a pivot, and maintain momentum, providing opportunities for teammates to come in safely into teammates after forcing Calyrex-S out and bring a teammate in on switch-ins like Zacian-C and Xerneas to deal with them. i don't think you need to provide examples here, in practice it applies to more situations than this Snarl allows it to check SubSeed Calyrex-S and pressure specially offensive Pokemon such as Eternatus and Life Orb Yveltal by lowering their Special Attack. With Defog, Yveltal is able to clear entry hazards for its teammates while Roost provides reliable recovery allows it to recover from hits. Maximum Special Defense investment and 248 HP EVs with a Calm nature and ensures that it can tank attacks from Max Starfall from Life Orb Calyrex-S and specially offensive Yveltal as well as possible while the rest of the EVs are invested in Defense allow Yveltal to survive Close Combat from Jolly Marshadow at +1 Attack. +2 252 SpA Life Orb Calyrex-Shadow Max Starfall vs. 248 HP / 252+ SpD Yveltal: 494-582 (108.5 - 127.9%) -- guaranteed OHKO Alternatively, 32 Attack EVs with Adamant nature assure I think you mean "ensures"? "assures" doesn't fit here that Yveltal breaks Calyrex-S's substitute with U-Turn. A fast spread of 248 HP / 8 Def / 64 SpD / 184 Spe allows Yveltal to switch into LO Groudon as it uses Swords Dance and get off a Foul Play before it can attack, threatening to OHKO it unless it Dynamaxes.

Yveltal's best fit in on balance teams, while its defensive presence is appreciated by many Pokemon vulnerable to Calyrex-S such as Necrozma-DM and Eternatus. Necrozma-DM, in return, checks both Zacian-C and Xerneas which are common threats to Yveltal while Eternatus is able to check Kyogre and take some pressure off of it to check special Yveltal which can heavily damage Yveltal. Blissey is able to check Pokemon such as Xerneas, Meteor Beam Eternatus, and also Kyogre that can heavily damage Yveltal. Ferrothorn also provides a useful way to limit Kyogre and Xerneas, while Yveltal can help remove Heavy-Duty Boots with Knock Off and prevent Defog if carrying Taunt due to its useful typing against them. Physically defensive walls such as Lunala and Zygarde-C can wall physically offensive Pokemon such as Groudon and Zekrom that possess a huge threat to non-Foul Play variants of Yveltal and can potentially use it as a setup fodder. Ho-Oh pressures Yveltal with Toxic and also deals heavy damage with Sacred Fire while being able to pivot into teammates easily due to Regenerator. idk why this is here, put in the 'Checks and Counters' section Although, Ho-Oh as a teammate can be useful as it can to pressure opposing Yveltal and Ferrothorn and opposing Yveltal, pivot into Zacian-C and absorb status for Yveltal, while having the option to use a more offensive set if it so chooses with Yveltal fulfilling its role as a Defogger which can be a troublesome foe due to Iron Barbs and Leech Seed. Offensive breakers such as Calyrex-S, Zacian-C, Choice Specs Kyogre and Marshadow take advantage of the pivoting Yveltal provides with U-turn. Calyrex-S in particular appreciates Yveltal's capacity to Imposter-proof it, as well as remove Heavy-Duty Boots from opposing Yveltal or prevent it from recovering, leaving it much more vulnerable to its attacks. In return, Calyrex-S forces out Zacian-C and Eternatus, in addition to checking a deluge of boosted threats that take advantage of Yveltal if it is holding a Choice Scarf, and can remove status from it via Aromatherapy.

Specially defensive Yveltal is one of the most useful Pokemon in the metagame due to its typing, good special bulk, and access to reliable recovery allowing it to check Calyrex-S, one of the biggest threats in the tier, like no other. Foul Play deals heavy damage to physically offensive Pokemon such as Zacian-C, Marshadow, and Groudon, (AC) while Knock Off cripples Ho-Oh, Yveltal, Ferrothorn, and Eternatus. U-turn allows Yveltal to act as a pivot and maintain momentum, (added missing space) providing opportunities for teammates to come in safely. Snarl allows it to counter SubSeed Calyrex-S and check specially offensive Pokemon such as Eternatus and Life Orb Yveltal by lowering their Special Attack. With Defog, Yveltal is able to clear entry hazards for its teammates, (AC) while Roost provides reliable recovery. Heavy-Duty Boots prevents Yveltal from getting worn down by Stealth Rock. Maximum Special Defense investment and 248 HP EVs with a Calm nature ensures that it can tank attacks from Life Orb Calyrex-S and specially offensive Yveltal as well as possible, (AC) while the rest of the EVs are invested in Defense to allow Yveltal to survive Close Combat from Jolly Life Orb Marshadow at +1 Attack. Alternatively, 32 Attack EVs with an Adamant nature ensure that Yveltal breaks Calyrex-S's Substitute with U-turn. A fast spread of 248 HP / 8 Def / 68 SpD / 184 Spe allows Yveltal to switch into Life Orb Groudon as it uses Swords Dance and get off a Foul Play before it can attack, threatening to OHKO it unless it Dynamaxes.

Yveltal best fits on balance teams, while and its defensive presence is appreciated by many Pokemon vulnerable to Calyrex-S such as Necrozma-DM and Eternatus. Necrozma-DM, in return, checks both Zacian-C and Xerneas, (AC) which are common threats to Yveltal, (AC) while Eternatus is able to check Kyogre and can take some pressure off of it to check special Yveltal. Blissey is able to check Pokemon such as Kyogre, Meteor Beam Eternatus, and Xerneas that can heavily damage Yveltal. Ferrothorn also provides a useful way to limit Kyogre and Xerneas, while Yveltal can help remove support Ferrothorn's entry hazards by removing (if just "Spikes" or just "Stealth Rock" is dominant, you can just say that one) Heavy-Duty Boots with Knock Off and preventing Defog if carrying Taunt. Physically defensive walls such as Lunala and Zygarde-C can check physically offensive Pokemon such as Groudon and Zekrom that possess pose a huge threat to non-Foul Play variants of Yveltal. Ho-Oh as a teammate can be useful to pressure opposing Ferrothorn and opposing Yveltal, pivot into Zacian-C, (AC) and absorb status for Yveltal, while having and it has the option to use a more offensive set if it so chooses with Yveltal fulfilling its role as a Defogger. Offensive wallbreakers such as Calyrex-S, Zacian-C, Choice Specs Kyogre, (AC) and Marshadow take advantage of the pivoting Yveltal provides with U-turn. Calyrex-S in particular appreciates Yveltal's capacity to Imposter-proof it, as well as removing Heavy-Duty Boots from opposing Yveltal or preventing it from recovering, leaving it much more vulnerable to its Calyrex-S's attacks. In return, Calyrex-S forces out Zacian-C and Eternatus, in addition to checking a deluge of boosted threats that take advantage of Yveltal if it Calyrex-S is holding a Choice Scarf, and can remove status from it via Aromatherapy.

Taunt can be used to prevent recovery, status, setup, (AC) or hazards from other defensive Pokemon like opposing Yveltal, Ferrothorn, Zygarde-C, (AC) and Necrozma-DM. However, Yveltal has to choose to drop either U-turn/Snarl or Defog sacrifice its second or third moveslot for it. Sucker Punch can be used on a 3 three attacks set with U-turn in order to potentially move before and KO boosted Calyrex-S, which would otherwise overwhelm Yveltal with Max Starfall, as well as pick off or weaken foes like Marshadow and Dragon Dance Necrozma-DM. However, (added missing space) it can be scouted with Substitute on Calyrex-S (RC) and is easily exploitable once the opponent is aware of it. Toxic can be used in order to cripple opposing specially defensive Yveltal and Ho-Oh better, (AC) but it is not recommended due to it possibly making Yveltal too passive.

**Physically Offensive Pokemon**: Physically offensive Pokemon such as Zacian-C, Groudon, setup Zygarde-C, and Zekrom possess pose a huge threat to Yveltal, (AC) forcing it to switch out, (AC) and can potentially use non-Foul Play variants as a setup fodder while forcing Yveltal to switch out.

**Xerneas**: Xerneas is one of the biggest threats to Yveltal, (AC) as it can force out Yveltal with a powerful Moonblast which that easily 2HKOes Yveltal it without any boosts. Xerneas can also capitalize on Yveltal being passive with Geomancy and pose a large sweeping threat. Xerneas should be careful on switching into Knock Off Yveltal, though, as it will risk losing Power Herb and becomes becoming unable to use Geomancy effectively.

**Knock Off**: Yveltal has to watch out for Knock Off from opposing Yveltal, Necrozma-DM, (AC) and Ferrothorn, as it becomes a lot easier to wear down with Stealth Rock without Heavy-Duty Boots, which is amplified by the fact that it very often is it very often being the only Defogger on teams. This Losing Heavy-Duty Boots also (I imagine?) makes it significantly more susceptible to Calyrex-S and hazard stacking cores.

**Status Spreaders**: Defensive Walls such as Ho-Oh, (added missing space) Eternatus, Zygarde-C, (AC) and Toxic Ferrothorn can pressure Yveltal with the status moves they carry. Ho-Oh in particular can still cripple Taunt Yveltal with Sacred Fire, (AC) if Taunted while Ferrothorn can stack up entry hazards, compelling Yveltal to come in more often and get worn down more quickly. However, both must be wary of getting their items removed by Knock Off.
