Additionally, thanks to its Grass / Dragon typing, Alolan Exeggutor finds many opportunities to switch into Water- and Ground-types like Vaporeon and Steelix to begin wallbreaking. Alolan Exeggutor is also blessed with perfect coverage, with Flamethrower managing Steel-types as well as Whimsicott for it. Although its Speed is poor, Alolan Exeggutor still outspeeds bulky Pokemon like Slowbro and defensive Seismitoad, allowing it to outspeed and KO them before they can retaliate with potential coverage moves. Incineroar and Passimian are excellent partners, since they draw in Pokemon like Diancie and Palossand that Alolan Exeggutor can easily take advantage of and can pivot into it with U-turn. Late-game cleaners like Comfey also pair well with Alolan Exeggutor due to its ability to wallbreak for them.
