Banned deucer.
Hello everyone, So i decided to build a team around Choice Specs dragonite. I've reached around 1400s - 1500s with this team. Any advice would be really appreciated!

The team-

:ss/dragonite: :ss/blissey: :ss/rillaboom: :ss/toxapex: :ss/heatran: :ss/Landorus-Therian:

1) Dragonite
:ss/dragonite:
Dragonite @ Choice Specs
Ability: Multiscale
EVs: 252 SpA / 4 SpD / 252 Spe
Modest Nature
IVs: 0 Atk
- Hurricane
- Draco Meteor
- Hydro Pump
- Flamethrower

This mon is the main breaker of this team. You could say i should use pult instead of this thanks to it having higher speed and not a sr weakness but dragonite hits way harder than pult thanks to hurricane and unlike pult, it isnt forced to run timid. This set catches so many players off guard as they just go to their corviknight and it gets destroyed by flamethrower. You could run fire blast instead to guarantee a ko on corv after rocks. Clef gets destroyed by hurricane. The only drawback is that all of its moves except flamethrower can miss.

252+ SpA Choice Specs Dragonite Hurricane vs. 252 HP / 4 SpD Clefable: 268-316 (68 - 80.2%) -- guaranteed 2HKO after Leftovers recovery
252+ SpA Choice Specs Dragonite Flamethrower vs. 252 HP / 88 SpD Corviknight: 280-330 (70 - 82.5%) -- guaranteed 2HKO after Stealth Rock and Leftovers recovery
252+ SpA Choice Specs Dragonite Fire Blast vs. 252 HP / 88 SpD Corviknight: 340-402 (85 - 100.5%) -- 81.3% chance to OHKO after Stealth Rock
252+ SpA Choice Specs Dragonite Draco Meteor over 2 turns vs. 248 HP / 0 SpD Zapdos: 478-564 (124.8 - 147.2%) -- guaranteed KO in 2 turns
252+ SpA Choice Specs Dragonite Hydro Pump vs. 252 HP / 128+ SpD Heatran: 252-298 (65.2 - 77.2%) -- guaranteed 2HKO after Stealth Rock and Leftovers recovery
252+ SpA Choice Specs Dragonite Draco Meteor over 2 turns vs. 252 HP / 4 SpD Toxapex: 322-380 (105.9 - 125%) -- guaranteed KO in 2 turns

2) Blissey
:ss/blissey:
Blissey @ Heavy-Duty Boots
Ability: Natural Cure
EVs: 252 HP / 252 Def / 4 SpD
Bold Nature
- Wish
- Protect
- Seismic Toss
- Thunder Wave

I wanted wish support for dragonite so it can get its multiscale again and again, so i decided to add blissey. This mon is super bulky and can be switched in on stuff like pult, nidoking, torn. thunder wave is there so dragonite could outspeed my opponent's pokemon. You could also run teleport to bring dragonite in safely.

3) Rillaboom
:ss/rillaboom:
Rillaboom @ Choice Band
Ability: Grassy Surge
EVs: 252 Atk / 4 Def / 252 Spe
Adamant Nature
- Wood Hammer
- Grassy Glide
- U-turn
- Knock Off

I added rilla for speed control thanks to its priority grassy slide in grassy terrain. This pokemon can beat stuff like blissey which annoy dragonite a lot. This is also ur main breaker alongside dragonite. Grassy terrain also provides recovery for ur team. knock off is there to remove items from switch ins like corviknight and ferrothorn.

4) Toxapex
:ss/toxapex:
Toxapex @ Rocky Helmet
Ability: Regenerator
EVs: 252 HP / 252 Def / 4 SpD
Bold Nature
IVs: 0 Atk
- Scald
- Recover
- Haze
- Toxic Spikes

I added pex for a much needed physical backbone. It counters stuff like heatran and barraskewda. Haze is there so setup sweepers cant use it as a setup fodder. t spikes is really good for spreading chip damage so rilla can clean up more easily.

5) Heatran
:ss/heatran:
Heatran @ Leftovers
Ability: Flash Fire
EVs: 252 HP / 4 SpA / 252 SpD
Calm Nature
IVs: 0 Atk
- Magma Storm
- Earth Power
- Stealth Rock
- Toxic

I soon realized that i get 6-0ed by specs lele, so i added heatran. This pokemon can check lele very easily and is also a check to volc which is also very threatning to this team. It loves rilla's grassy terrain and wish support keeps it healthy throughout the game. This pokemon can also trap blissey and toxic it which is really useful for dragonite.

6) Landorus-T
:ss/Landorus-Therian:
Landorus-Therian @ Leftovers
Ability: Intimidate
EVs: 252 Atk / 4 SpD / 252 Spe
Jolly Nature
- Earthquake
- U-turn
- Defog
- Knock Off

Lastly, I needed an electric immunity and a defogger. Lando could do both. It also likes wish support. You could run stone edge over knock to hit zapdos and moltres. Its a very nice pivot to switch into stuff like zeraora, koko and kartana.

Threatlist-
:zapdos:- This mon can wall ur team easily if dnite is gone, also a -2 dnite could be a free setup opportunity for some dangerous setup sweeper like volc. U could somewhat solve this issue by adding stone edge to lando.

:tapu-lele:- I said it earlier, this mon can 6-0 this entire team. heatran would get fucked up by specs focus blast on the switch, then u gotta sack a mon and then go to a mon which forces lele out. Psyshock destroys blissey so it isnt a switch in at all.

:garchomp:- Ur in huge trouble if this thing sets up sd, especially if it is out of glide range. This thing gets free setup on toxapex. U dont really have a switch in other than lando.

You actually can run Modest on Dragapult, if your team has sufficient counterplay to Tapu Koko. Dragapult's base Special Attack is equal to Dragonite's, and it is much faster, gets U-turn, and not weak to Stealth Rock. It's also faster than Lele, easing your matchup against it. Dragapult doesn't learn Hurricane, but it does get Hydro Pump and Flamethrower. Therefore, I would suggest Dragapult over Dragonite. Your team lacks speed control, which it would give you. (I wouldn't say Rillaboom really counts when lots of faster stuff resists Grassy Glide, like Dragapult and Kartana.)

Despite its typing, Toxapex is not a counter to Heatran; quite the opposite in fact, as Magma Storm trapping, Earth Power and Taunt overwhelms Toxapex easily. Just some advice for playing the team.

Defog isn't typically recommended on Landorus-T, because it has a better matchup against hazard removers than hazard setters. I would replace it with Stealth Rock, so you can run Taunt on Heatran. This would allow you to trap Blissey more reliably by denying its recovery, and you can block Volcarona's Quiver Dance.

Finally, I would replace Blissey with Corviknight. It's typically better at removing hazards than Landorus-T, and it switches into Lele's STAB moves and Garchomp. It might look appealing to recycle Multiscale, but it doesn't work in practice if there's Stealth Rock up. The set:

:ss/corviknight:
Corviknight @ Leftovers
Ability: Pressure
EVs: 252 HP / 4 Def / 252 SpD
Careful Nature
- Brave Bird
- Defog
- U-turn
- Roost

As you probably want Corviknight to check Lele more reliably, I've used a specially defensive spread. Although Garchomp's +2 Stone Edge does 2HKO as a result, you can stall its PP with Pressure and Roost if you switch into a different move.

Hey man thanks for the advice, I was also thinking that wish passing is really difficult to do in a game. I tried using corv instead of blis and gave lando a scarf, Its been working really great for me. Thanks for the advice.

just a small note, rocky helmet is not that popular on toxapex rn, as people will probably not attack it with many contact moves. I would suggest either black sludge for some more general staying power, or shed shell to run away from heatran
