When equipped with Choice Specs, Keldeo becomes a monstrous wallbreaker thanks to its high Special Attack and Speed alongside a great offensive typing that threatens staples such as Excadrill, Cobalion, and Rhyperior. Surf is Keldeo's most consistent option for a Water-type STAB thanks to its perfect accuracy, doing solid damage to neutral targets such as Okidogi and Zapdos. Alternatively, Hydro Pump trades Surf's perfect accuracy for more power, becoming an extremely difficult move to switch into. It can accomplish monstrous feats such as OHKOing Scizor as well as threatening to 2HKO even resistant Pokemon such as Azumarill and Sinistcha. Flip Turn lets Keldeo switch out of poor matchups like Slowking and Toxapex and create offensive momentum for its teammates to capitalize off of. Vacuum Wave is an extremely useful priority move, doing great damage to faster foes such as Greninja, Ogerpon-C, and Choice Scarf Zarude. Tera Water further strengthens Keldeo's Water-type STAB, letting it threaten to 2HKO even bulkier Water-resistant Pokemon such as Rotom-W and Latios after some minor chip damage with Surf. On Hydro Pump variants, this power boost is even more drastic, letting it OHKO the likes of Zapdos, Metagross, and Enamorus-T. It also removes Keldeo's weakness to Flying, making it less vulnerable to Flying-type moves from Tornadus-T and Zapdos. Alternatively, Tera Fighting lets Keldeo snag 2HKOs on Water-resistant Pokemon like Hydrapple, Azumarill, and Latios.

Keldeo's strong wallbreaking lets it fit on many offensive teams. Keldeo really dislikes the presence of Grass-types such as Serperior, Ogerpon-C, and Zarude. Thus, switch ins for these threats such as Scizor, Cobalion, Tinkaton, and Metagross make for great partners. Scizor in particular is an excellent partner, appreciating Keldeo helping eliminate checks such as Excadrill, Cobalion, and Hisuian Arcanine and helping chip shared checks such as Tornadus-T and Zapdos with U-turn while simueltaniously creating offensive momentum. The latter three can also function as excellent Stealth Rock setters, letting Keldeo more easily fetch 2HKOs on the likes of Latios, Sinistcha, and Rotom-W while making it more difficult for Pokemon like Slowking and Hydrapple to consistently switch in. Pokemon that can eliminate Water-types like Toxapex and Slowking such as Zapdos, Thundurus-T, and Ogerpon are great teammates, beating these foes while appreciating Keldeo's ability to beat Ground- and Fire-type Pokemon such as Excadrill, Sandy Shocks, and Skeledirge. Offensive pivots such as Latios, Scizor, Ogerpon-C, and Tornadus-T can generate offensive momentum for Keldeo to capitalize off of, enhancing its role as a wallbreaker and breaking through common walls like Cobalion and Tinkaton for these foes.

Alternatively, Hydro Pump trades Surf's perfect accuracy for more power, becoming an extremely difficult move to switch into. It can accomplish monstrous feats such as OHKOing Scizor and Hoopa-U as well as threatening to 2HKO even resistant Pokemon such as Azumarill and Sinistcha. Hoopa-U is not OHKOd by Hydro. Tera Water turns Keldeo's Hydro Pump into an absolute nuke of an attack; it can 2HKO even bulkier Water-resistant Pokemon such as Latios and Rotom-W as well as OHKOing the likes of Zapdos, Metagross, and Enamorus-T. While this is true, it seems weird to focus on Hydro when it isn't the main slash It also removes Keldeo's weakness to Flying, making it less vulnerable to Flying-type moves from Tornadus-T and Zapdos. Alternatively, Tera Fighting lets Keldeo snag 2HKOs on Water-resistant Pokemon like Hydrapple, Azumarill, and Latios while removing its weakness to Grass and Electric, giving it an easier time against Ogerpon-C and Thundurus-T. Rockpon is awkward here because you don't exactly tera into a resist. Whip is still doing 80 + there is Sturdy. I think the whole removing resistance does not really apply that much. Just focus on it as a means to boost its Fighting STAB. No need to really explain it past that imo
