In conjunction with Hex, Will-O-Wisp allows Spectrier to check and cripple a number of threats like Toxapex, Celesteela, Swampert, and Urshifu-R. The given EV spread allows Spectrier to keep Substitute up against burned Celesteela and Ferrothorn. Mimikyu is a good partner, as it is able to eliminate problematic Dark-types like Galarian Moltres and Tyranitar, while Spectrier threatens annoying physical walls like Celesteela and Toxapex. Choice Scarf Gengar can check oppoing Choice Scarf users that threaten Spectrier like Zarude, Hydreigon, and Blacephalon.

I'd generalize this statement so its not directly on phy atkers. yeah it cripples them but they arent like "wisp is for phy attackers!" like wisp is needed for fat as well like pex/mantine/celes.
