National Dex spike BO safeguard volc peaked top 50

Hello all! It is a pleasure to finally post my first ever NatDex RMT, I made this team right after ghost horse got banned. This bulky offense team centralizes mostly with Kyurem as a wincon, with volcarona adding a lot of support to the mix.

Volcarona @ Heavy-Duty Boots
Ability: Flame Body
EVs: 248 HP / 208 Def / 52 Spe
Bold Nature
IVs: 0 Atk
- Safeguard
- Quiver Dance
- Roost
- Flamethrower

Volcarona in this team has 2 roles, one is as a complete support mon with safeguard (allows kyurem to pivot in against something like pex more easily) but also become an incredible wall to some grass types with flamebody. Its basically a crappy fini and moltres except its both in one slot. Next is as a bulky sweeper and with spikes it isn't that difficult for volcarona to have from a crappy MU to an incredible one. this is mainly due that most of it checks don't have reliable recovery (tyranitar, heatran etc.) Thus this pokemon is extremely important in practically any games its in, Because it gives you so much versatile to play around with it.

Diancie-Mega @ Diancite
Ability: Magic Bounce
EVs: 4 Atk / 252 SpA / 252 Spe
Hasty Nature
- Diamond Storm
- Moonblast
- Earth Power
- Mystical Fire

Using Diancie was the purpose of this team, its an offensive magic bounce user that has some bulk and power to go behind it. Diancie mostly acts as a hazard stopper but can also be a nice wall breaker. I don't have much to say about diancie other then baiting scizor with mystical fire is the most addicting thing ever! And makes kyurem MU way easier as they both have the same checks (Corv, ferro, scizor etc.) but ye mystical fire m-diancie and kyurem work quite well together, hazards also are a problem for kyurem so thats nice

Kyurem @ Metronome
Ability: Pressure
EVs: 56 HP / 200 SpA / 252 Spe
Timid Nature
IVs: 0 Atk
- Substitute
- Freeze-Dry
- Earth Power
- Roost

Metronome kyurem is an annoying piece of shit and thats why its great! It's usually a win con since it can just stall some of its checks and its coverage is godly as well. And lastly its ability to have good MU against the two most dominant play style (Rain, stall) is an incredible asset to the team. It wins against rain by pp stalling ferro out of either gyro ball, body press or iron head and wins against stall by simply pp stalling blissey and chansey which is also nice to help diancie win against blissey And potentially win the game.

Garchomp @ Dragonium Z
Ability: Rough Skin
EVs: 252 Atk / 4 SpD / 252 Spe
Jolly Nature
- Swords Dance
- Earthquake
- Outrage
- Stone edge

This chomp set with spikes is one of the best wall breaker for the team, it opens up most win cons in the team because of how strong z outrage is. I went back and fourth from z stone edge to z outrage but decided I like the power more and the fact that it ohkoed tang at +2 was a huge deal for me. Not only tang tho even defensive lando, gliscor, slowbro. I thought about scale shot but this chomp set was never about sweeping but more or so about breaking holes so something else can sweep. Also I have thought about maybe completely ditching stone edge and instead have another sr setter but I'm not sure yet.

Greninja-Ash (M) @ Choice Specs
Ability: Battle Bond
EVs: 252 SpA / 4 SpD / 252 Spe
Timid Nature
- Hydro Pump
- Dark Pulse
- Water Shuriken
- Ice Beam

My next wallbreaker and secondary wincon. Ash Greninja provides some great attributes to the team, such as blistering speed and priority that allows it to revenge kill threats like Volcarona. Spikes also completes a hazard stacking core with Garchomp to wear down defensive cores. I chose to run ice beam mainly because I find it more reliable to take care of stuff like lando and garchomp instead of hydro pump.

Ferrothorn @ Leftovers
Ability: Iron Barbs
EVs: 252 HP / 4 Atk / 252 Def
Impish Nature
IVs: 0 Atk
- Stealth Rock
- Spikes
- Leech Seed
- Body Press

Lastly ferrothorn, with sr and spikes its usually the lead of the team. But also its ability to give the team more defense use. While putting spikes on greninja was a thing I considered and sr on chomp I decided ferro would open up more space and give more of a defensive backbone with volc. and leech seed is another thing really great about it as healing something like chomp or diancie gives me more versatile and it also finishes the G/W/F core which is also really helpful for the team.

Ok, so when I first look at this team I see 2 glaring issues. The team completely lacks Cinderace and Ash Greninja switch in. Garchomp and Ferrothorn can switch in maybe twice but after that both just run over this team. These issues can be fixed by making Ferrothorn Specially Defensive, and by replacing a team member with one or two of Gliscor or Toxapex. I can't say which member(s) specifically to replace because I'm really not all that good at teambuilding but those two are great options against Cinderace. Toxapex can actually blanket both Ash Greninja and Cinderace.

Another thing I would recommend is to replace Mega Diancie. This is because it really isn't that good of hazard control due to its low bulk (it has 50 hp) and because it can't really switch into hazard setter that well in case they decide to attack. Zapdos and Corviknight on the other hand, are some great Defoggers.

Volcarona is also another Pokemon that really struggles in the current meta but judging by the thread's name, the team is probably somewhat built around it so I'm not gonna say anything.

As for the other mons, there are little details about each that I feel should be changed.

Kyurem should have 4 EVs into SpDef. Take them from the SpAtk. This is to live Mega Charizard Y's Fire Blast in sun. I would recommend using Stealth Rock on Garchomp. This is so Ferrothorn doesn't have to run dual hazards and can fit the incredibly useful Knock Off. Stealth Rock should be used over Stone Edge if you want to keep the Dragonium Z, and Outrage if you want to switch the Z move to Rockium Z. As previously mentioned, Ferrothorn should have SpDef EVs for Ash Greninja and Tapu Lele. Also as previously mentioned, you should only run one hazard on Ferrothorn. Which hazard to run depends on whether or not you want to replace Garchomp. For Ash Greninja, I would still run Spikes over Ice Beam. This is because Ash Greninja uses Spikes to Spike up on a Tangrowth, Blissey, or Toxapex switch-in, weakening them and allowing Ash Greninja to make progress against them.
