Hello ladies and gentlemen this is my Pokémon OU team. If you guys have any suggestions or criticism be sure to type a comment. Subsequently I hope you like it.
Essentially for this team to work it requires a fair amount of predicting and switching. In my opinion I think this team has a good balance of offence as well as defence
Ferrothorn @ Rocky Helmet
Ability: Iron Barbs
EVs: 248 HP / 8 Atk / 252 Def
Relaxed Nature
- Leech Seed
- Thunder Wave
- Stealth Rock
- Gyro Ball
Essentially shuts down physical attackers. Shuts down Scizor and other major threats from obvious reasons, forcing your opponent to switch out allowing you to get set up stealth rocks. When you have stealth rocks up you're able basically annoy the living daylights out of your opponent with Leech Seeds and Thunder Wave. Gyro Ball is useful as it gets rid of annoying fairy types and Espeon.
Lopunny-Mega @ Lopunnite
Ability: Scrappy
EVs: 252 Atk / 4 SpD / 252 Spe
Jolly Nature
- Fake Out
- Return
- High Jump Kick
- Ice Punch
Mega Lopunny is purely offensive, this Pokémon works perfectly with this team. With testing this team out I found myself often leading with it to get a cheap fake out. However you have to watch out if your opponent has Ferrothorn or something of the nature. If your opponent does have a Ferrothorn never lead with Lopunny. Return is a good stab especially with the ability Scrappy, allowing you to hit ghost Pokémon. High Jump Kick is another powerful stab however, you have to look out for your opponent protecting other wise you're going to loose 50% of your HP. Ice Punch is useful however watch out for Landorus-Therian as you will not be able to One hit it. Furthermore if you're certain your opponent has a priority move in MOST cases you're best to switch out to Ferrothorn. Conclusively Lopunny is extremely useful in this team due to it aggressive nature allowing you to revenge kill and in many cases shutting your opponent down.
Rotom-Wash @ Leftovers
Ability: Levitate
EVs: 252 HP / 44 Def / 60 SpA / 148 SpD / 4 Spe
Calm Nature
- Will-O-Wisp
- Light Screen
- Thunderbolt
- Hydro Pump
Rotom is a good offensive wall, it goes well with ferrothorn in my opinion. Rotom with levitate is nice due to the fact it allows free switch ins to ground moves. Light screen cripples special attackers, and Will-o-wisp cripples psychical attackers, thus its useful as a somewhat offensive wall. Rotom deals with talonflame and other pokemon of the nature which is an obvious threat in OU, if used correctly.
Dragonite @ Weakness Policy
Ability: Multiscale
EVs: 4 HP / 252 Atk / 252 Spe
Jolly Nature
- Agility
- Dragon Claw
- Earthquake
- Fire Punch
Decent damage and the chance to sweep your opponent, however lately I have been thinking of removing it due to being a bit too gimmicky. Weakness Policy Dragonite is good if you're able to pull off with an Agility, if you pull it off then you should be able to tear your opponents apart. However it is extremely circumstantial, thus lately I have been thinking of removing for something else but to what I have no clue yet.
Gengar @ Life Orb
Ability: Levitate
EVs: 4 HP / 252 SpA / 252 Spe
Timid Nature
- Shadow Ball
- Destiny Bond
- Sludge Wave
- Focus Blast
Gengar is just one of the Pokémon that can make your opponents cry. This is clear with this moveset which covers a wide range of types. Focus Blast does only have 70% accuracy however, its worth it if you're able to hit your opponent. Destiny Bond is a great way to get rid of any big threats in the team if used effectively, not to mention it is Samurai way to end your opponent
Togekiss @ Leftovers
Ability: Serene Grace
EVs: 252 HP / 4 SpA / 252 SpD
Calm Nature
- Thunder Wave
- Air Slash
- Wish
- Heal Bell
Togekiss is just plain out annoying. Through my tests I have been able to get people to forfeit purely because of Togekiss. Defog is useful as it remove your opponents setups, however spikes don't do much to this team. This is evident through Gengar, Togekiss, Dragonite, and Rotom-Wash. Thus Heal Bell is defiantly the better option. Thunder Wave cripples your opponent with an extra bonus with Air Slash. Wish is a lovely incentive as it allows you to get your Pokemon's health back, I found this extremely useful with Ferrothorn.
I will do a threat list when I can be bothered, so stay tuned.
Don't be afraid of leaving your opinions on what an be changed and altered.
