The point of this team... is I'm not sure. I made this team off of my knowledge from the 4th generation metagame and the few articles I read on the new generation. It has been working decently, but it definitely needs work.
Thundurus@Focus Sash
Thunderbolt
HP Ice
Taunt
Thunder Wave
Nature: Timid
252 SpA/252 Spd/ 6HP
My favorite lead. Prankster is actually an awesome ability. I can
completely screw over common leads like Ninjask with priority Taunt.
The focus sash lets Thundurus have the last word, perhaps dropping a
Thunder Wave as he moves on. Thunderbolt for STAB, HP Ice for
coverage. Sucks against suicide leads like aerodactyl who are meant to attack.
Terrakion@Life Orb
Close Combat
Rock Slide
Protect
Quick Attack
Nature: Jolly
4 HP/248 Atk/4 Def/ 252 Spd
Helps with the rock weakness on my team. I don't have much experience with this guy, but I like what I see. I would put sacred sword, but I don't see this guy lasting long anyways with the life orb recoil and the sheer multitude of fighting moves.
Scizor@Choice Band
Superpower
Bullet Punch
U-Turn
Pursuit
Nature: Adamant
252 HP/248 ATK/ 8 Spd
Great revenge killer. I enjoy u-turn since it lets me scout. The priority on bullet punch lets me kills dders and other boosted threats. Superpower has nice coverage and pursuit is there to kill those pesky ghosts and psychics. bonus points if i predict the switch.
Latios@Life Orb
Surf
Thunderbolt
Ice Beam
HP Fire
Natue: Timid
252 SpA/252 Spd/ 6 HP
I had to face Latios many times, and it was not fun. So if you can't beat 'em, join 'em as the saying goes. I opted not to take draco meteor as i didn't like the special attack drop. Given that it was meant to take out threatening dders like dragonite, i chose ice beam. same role, but works well with thunderbolt for the infamous "boltbeam" combo. Solid Pokemon, though I wish he had soul dew.
Swampert@Leftovers
Stealth Rock
Scald
Earthquake
Ice Beam
Nature: Sassy
252 HP/252 Def/ 4 SpD
My team handles grass very well, so swampert is a logical choice. He can set up stealth rock rather easily and can take some non-grass punishment. scald over surf gives me the chance to end the careers of certain physical pokemon who might otherwise kill my team.
Chandelure@Choice Scarf
Fire Blast
Overheat
Shadow Ball
Energy Ball
Nature: Timid
252 SpA/252Spd/6 HP
With a choice scarf he moves rather fast, outrunning some threats and koing some stuff with his monstrous Special Attack (two fire blasts are rumored to kill blisseys). Overheat is good to kill something not quite in the range of fire blast while shadow ball has nice STAB and energy ball some good coverage. Flash fire helps me deal with my fire problem.
My rank is something like 1178, but I'd like to go higher.
Any help is appreciated.
