Introduction

Welcome back to another episode of...
JOHN TORKOAL'S RATE MY TEAM: EPISODE 3
Ok, so this is the last RMT until December, where I will post be posting a specific final RMT of the year until February. This isn't a surprise, specifically because I have something planned for the big date (Mark your calendars, I will post it whenever). But however, I wanted to have my brain turned off for some good ol' reliable web HO. We have another team concept like last time! and then we have a overview of how every mon in this team is supposed to work correctly.
Now... for the moment you've been waiting for, LET'S GET STARTED!
A Dark Sky (Araquanid) @ Custap Berry
Ability: Water Bubble
Tera Type: Water
EVs: 248 HP / 8 SpA / 252 SpD
Calm Nature
- Sticky Web
- Surf
- Endeavor
- Lunge
One of the most important mons in Sticky Web history so you already know why it's there. It's giant special bulk and great HP investment is one of the main reasons this lil' spider takes so many special hits. I often use it as a suicide lead in every game to set Sticky Web up, and then surf is there as a Hatterene check. I often use Endeavor as a final shots before it ever gets taken out. But thanks to Custap Berry it can get one Endeavor in before it's immediately knocked out. EVs are super obvious. And Lunge is great against Wogerpon.
Ghoul of the Road (Gholdengo) @ Air Balloon
Ability: Good as Gold
Tera Type: Fighting
EVs: 252 SpA / 4 SpD / 252 Spe
Timid Nature
IVs: 0 Atk
- Nasty Plot
- Shadow Ball
- Make It Rain
- Thunderbolt
A webs team almost always needs this dude. The primary keep-up-webs member of the team, Gholdengo is super helpful against defoggers like Corviknight and Spinners like Great Tusk. Nasty Plot is clickable in a lot of situations especially where you have Air Balloon, while being immune to earthquake for the time-being. Make It Rain is so dang good, as I use it as a fairy check, Ice Check and as a very clickable move in any situation. Shadow Ball is primary Ghost STAB which is self-explanatory. I have Thunderbolt as a Corviknight and Toxapex check respectively (while being used against Tera Water users such as Wellspring-Pon and Gliscor).
Revengeance (Quaquaval) @ Assault Vest
Ability: Moxie
Tera Type: Steel
EVs: 252 Atk / 4 SpD / 252 Spe
Jolly Nature
- Aqua Step
- Close Combat
- Rapid Spin
- Ice Spinner
The MVP. Bro does not need an introduction. This duck here is the most important member and potential mascot of the team. With webs support, Quaquaval is able to OHKO many teams after a few Moxie boosts. Using Aqua Step increases your speed by 1 stage for every use, and so I had to include it on him, Close Combat is a STAB move to check many steel types in the metagame like Treads, Gambit, and Heatran. This bro is also the main spinner of this team to get hazards off the field. Ice Spinner is commonly used to check Gliscor and Lando-T. You can usually opt for Adamant to make it hit harder. Tera Steel to chip any incoming super-effective attack.
A Lightning Shine (Raging Bolt) @ Booster Energy
Ability: Protosynthesis
Tera Type: Fairy
EVs: 4 Def / 252 SpA / 252 Spe
Modest Nature
IVs: 20 Atk
- Calm Mind
- Thunderclap
- Dragon Pulse
- Thunderbolt
Raging Bolt is here to crush Dondozo and Corviknight down to the ground hahahaha! Another member on the team with a dang good typing. Calm Mind is the perfect setup move for Raging Bolt especially on hyper offense. You likely want Thunderclap as the go-to Electric move and a priority move for choice users like Barraskewda/Kingdra on rain. I opted for Dragon Pulse instead of Draco Meteor for more consistent results, and Thunderbolt is mainly in a situation where Thunderclap wouldn't be pressed often. Tera Fairy to check other Dragons and Fighting-types. EVs are intentional from this set.
New World (Kingambit) @ Leftovers
Ability: Supreme Overlord
Tera Type: Ghost
EVs: 252 Atk / 4 Def / 252 Spe
Adamant Nature
- Swords Dance
- Sucker Punch
- Kowtow Cleave
- Iron Head
It's back again! and this time in another HO team! One of the sweepers of the team obviously. I chose this mon due to it's ghost resist and obvious dengo switch-in, whlist having huge damage potential to sweep in the late-game. Swords Dance to boost it's already high attack stat to higher levels. Sucker Punch is STAB priority and Kowtow Cleave to predict set-up moves just in case Sucker Punch has a situation where it will fail. Iron Head is also STAB (pretty self-explanatory), while Ghost Tera on fighting-types to set up SD. Leftovers to increase longetivity.
The Fairy Slicer (Iron Valiant) @ Booster Energy
Ability: Quark Drive
Tera Type: Dark
EVs: 252 Atk / 4 Def / 252 Spe
Jolly Nature
- Swords Dance
- Close Combat
- Knock Off
- Encore
One of my favorite mons to use in this tier, Iron Valiant is a great cleaner. Swords Dance is up there to boost it's big attack stat to levels. Jolly is there to make it even faster. Close Combat is your primary physical attacking STAB fighting-type move. Checks Specifically Kyurem, Iron Treads, Kingambit and much others. Knock Off is on here to check Slowking-Galar and offensive Gholdengo with ease, and to damage them with hazards. I always have encore on hand to mess with Gargancl, Raging Bolt and other set up mons. I like using Tera Dark to help the Psychic weakness.
I will list the threats soon and this RMT will be edited.
Conclusion
Sooo... this team can be fixed, right?
Of course, this team can be fixed! Webs is a very braindead playstyle in low ladder so this was very interesting. If you wanna let me know what I should fix, please comment below.
Thanks for coming to my RMT.
