I want you guys to list what team you go for, using this format.

Australia, use this Format

Cricket (1st Grade):

Americans, use this Format

I'll do both.

NRL: Canterbury-Bankstown Bulldogs
AFL: Collingwood Magpies
A-League: Sydney FC
Union: ACT Brumbies
Cricket: NSW Blues

NFL: New England Patriots
MLB: Texas Rangers
NBA: Cleveland Cavaliers
NHL: Colorado Avalanche

I actually only follow NFL. I'm not bothered to follow the other sports.

I'm inventing the Canadian Format yea!!

CFL: Winnipeg Blue Bombers
MLB: Toronto Blue Jays
NBA: Toronto Raptors
NHL: Minnesota Wild
 
CFL: I don't follow this lol but if I have to I'll go with Hamilton Tigercats just because they're my home team!
NFL: New England? I don't watch as much NFL as I would like to.
MLB: Toronto Blue Jays
NBA: Phoenix Suns
NHL: Toronto Maple Leafs i guess...
 
I usually simply root for the home team or whichever team happens to have one or a few Quebec born players in their line-up.

CFL: Montreal Allouettes
MLB: Los Angeles Dodgers (Russell Martin) or Boston Red Soxes (Eric Gagné)
NBA: Phoenix Suns (Steve Nash)
NHL: Quebec Nordiques (Montreal Canadiens) OR whichever team has a lot of Quebec born players. A good example right now would be the Tampa Bay Lightning.
 
NFL: Buffalo Bills (season ticket-holder baby)
MLB: to be honest I couldn't care less
NBA: lol this is a joke of a sport, so I guess whichever team has the most white guys
NHL: Buffalo Sabres
 
Americans, use this Format
NFL: Go Broncos! When they suck I go for the Patriots
MLB: Go Rockies! When they suck I root for the Cardnials
NBA: Go San Antonio! Can you say dynasty? Just because they win with fundamentals and not flashy dunks doesnt mean they are not one of the greatest sports teams ever assembled.
NHL: Go Avalanche!

Edit: to mention that DM's NBA choice is better than anyone could think. How does his title say unfunny shithead? Thats funny stuff.

Ok ok, I know Portland is a shitty team, but I honestly never watch basketball, so I picked Portland because I feel sorry for them =( My friends who watch basketball always make fun of them, so I guess I only cheer for Portland because nobody else does :x As for NYI, I did a project on Mike Bossy in like grade 7, and since then he's been like my favourite hockey player and I always cheer for NYI. I even use 22 as my number in sports now >_>
 
NFL: Detroit Lions (ugh)
MLB: Detroit Tigers
NBA: Detroit Pistons

There are other teams that I like but these always take precedence since I grew up with them.
 
Mexican, use this Format
NFL: Tampa Bay Bucaneers (It's sad that they suck right now)
MLB: No
NBA: Sacramento Kings (Same as TB Bucs D:)
NHL: No
 
NFL: Philadelphia Eagles for life, and the Seattle Seahawks when they are good (which has been a lot lately)
MLB: Mariners, I guess, since I live in Seattle
NBA: Sonics, but basketball is meh
NHL: Colorado Avalanche, Joe Sakic is basically my hero.

Well, except Donovan McNabb is a bigger hero. But you get the point.

MLB: Padres
NBA: I don't really have a favorite team but I enjoy watching the Pistons and Warriors a lot. I'm not a huge fan of the Lakers and I don't really know the clippers!

You live in Buffalo DoomMullet? Didn't know that. I live in Rochester, its pretty nearby.

Anywho:
NFL: Steelers. Sad to say I gave up on the Bills years ago.
MLB: Dem Dam Yankees
NBA: Miami Heat.
NHL: Buffalo Sabres of course.

On a side note, I'm proud to say the Sacramento Kings were once the Rochester Royals.

I grew up in East Aurora, outside of Buffalo. I went to college at RIT and currently live in downtown Rochester.

Also, the amount of "I dunno, Patriots?" is fucking disgusting. I hate bandwagons more than anything in sports.

true fans stick with there team regardless if they are having a terrible year.
 
I only follow hockey. And even then only watch the playoffs, I just read up on the season and stay in touch by what friends tell me.

People support successful — and occasionally exciting — teams because it's easy enjoyment. It's not so much bandwagoning as declaring an allegiance to a team that you're not really allied with, although I guess people should really clarify their stance. Anybody who says, "I dunno, Patriots?" obviously doesn't really support them. >_>
