This has suddenly seen a drop in usage, but I still think he is great. This deranged Bug manages a 2HKO minimum against almost anything not named Blissey or Snorlax. Air Slash and Bug Buzz are GREAT STABs and they give decent coverage too. I chose this pokemon purely for those two STABs because I'm fed up with suicide leads like Azelf and Infernape. Hypnosis for anything I don't have an SE move for to force a switch or gain me an excuse for a 2HKO. Protect for a free boost every now and then. Wide Lens to aid Hypnosis. I still play with Pearl so Hypnosis is still 70% accuracy for me. I use Focus Sash to kill off sashed suicide leads such as Ape and Azelf, as that way I will survive an Overheat/Fire Blast respectively.

Ah, DD Mence. This kills so much it doesn't bear thinking about. You couldn't shake a stick at it without dying. It is here to act as a main physical sweeper, late game clear up sweeper and to clear up some holes in my coverage. I have Stone Edge over Fire Blast because I don't have trouble with steels. All that forrey can do to me is explode or give me free set up and Skarm is dealt with by this:

This is my fave pokemon in the team. He is the reason that Salamence can use an extra physical move over Fire Blast, the reason that nothing walls Breloom and the reason that Skarmory dies. Thunderbolt for STAB, HP Fire for Forretress and Scizor, Sub to draw out counters and absorb status and Mag Rise to avoid Forreys and Zongs EQ.

This is my physical wall. He is here to set up rocks if the oppurtunity passes by, take some physical hits and absorb status that Mence and Breloom (unless it is poison) will hate. Explosion will make for a nifty last ditch. I'm not sure about the items. Lefties will aid my walling capabilities but Chesto makes the sleep less painful.

This is here to pass wishes to pokes that need the recovery, like Yanmega after it ha done the first sweep or Mence after he has taken damage from rocks, and also Mag after he has Subbed a few times. It also makes for a pretty decent wall, as shown by the EVs. Protect to gurantee that I get the recovery if I need it myself, Surf to kill Ape and Tran who give me problems otherwise. Toxic is what I'm using now to rack up some residula damage but this is really an offensive team so Ice Beam may be more attractive.

This is my answer to the popular SubPunch set. This can still counter T-Tar (who decimates my team otherwise) and will also do some otehr sweeping when needed with priority. If he gets an SD then he is devastating late game. He has Poison Heal and Toxic Orb for useful recovery, but he fears other status before he gets poisoned so I have forrey (above) for that.

So there is my team. If You see any major weaks or issues with the pokemon's sets, then please point them out.

Also, a few thoughts regarding this team:
  • I appear to be killed by Mixape. I have thought of switching Umbreon for Vaporeon, who can wish pass and counter Ape, but then I may need to change Forrey to a Special Wall who can Rapid Spin, and Set up Rocks. Any thoughts? Fixed by putting in Vaporeon
  • I also appear to have problems with Heatran at a first glance. Ib think the aforementioned Vappy would help with this. Again, any thoughts? Sort of helped by putting in vaporeon

and salamence has outrage?it didn't gain it until platinum iirc
 
You have too much of a roles mindset. Don't limit yourself to definitely having a physical and special wall on each team, just ways to counter most of the top 40 threats in the metagame.

Umbreon is a special wall, but it can't stop the likes of heatran or specscario because they're steel. Forry is a physical wall but it can't stop SD ape or CB hera for example. Sounds a bit harsh but you need a change of mindset, learn some more team building skills and start from the ground up.
 
Yanmega should be EVd like this: 252 sp.atk, 152 speed, 104 def

this makes scizor's bullet punch a 3HKO, and it is a very efficient EV spread.
 
My mence has been tutored by someone for me who has access to Pt. I still actually battle with Pearl.

@Animenagi: this was just an experiment, my team building skills are fine thanks. Not to be conceited or bigheaded though. This just happens to be one of my phail teams, and I only made it out of pokémon I had in my box although I am going to train a Vaporeon. Although I agree that some of my pokemon are too specialised, i do like to have atleast a Physical and Special Sweeper and wall and build a team around those. I think this was just one that I wasn't really concentrating on.

Anyways, I have put in the Vaporeon that I mentioned on the bottom comments.

Also, are there any more major weaks other than teh two that I mentioned? I think I have done alright but there may be problems with Scizor. Help me on this please?

Now, on to your team;
Magnezone suck at trapping Steels. The only one he can trap and kill is Skarmory, and if Skarm carries Shed Shell, even that won't work out. Against Bronzong and Forretress, you do not kill them with Thunderbolt, and they smack you with their Earthquake. Then, Scizor can be faster, and if it isn't, it'll live your TBolt, and KO with Superpower. The Steel-killing Magnezone of choice should look like this:

With HP Fire and 220 Speed EVs you outspeed Adamant 252 Scizor and OHKO. You also OHKO Forretress without problems. Secondly, Magnet Rise is to dodge Bronzongs EQ, before you start firing off Thunderbolts. Life Orb is on order to get a guaranteed OHKO on SpDefensive Scizors, but you already deal a LOT of damage, so that isn't really necessary, but Life Orb also gives some extra kick against Bronzong, and if you go with Explosion, Life Orb is definitely the preferred item. Sub is to dodge Zongs Hypnosis after you've Rised, and is in general very handy.

For Forretress, give it Shed Shell. You can heal yourself from Vaporeons Wish, but if a Magnezone comes in, you're done deal, and Weavile has a field day. You can also consider Spikes, as Forry is one of the few that gets that move. Takes a little longer to lay down, but is sure to punish the opponent when it does.

For Vaporeon, use Ice Beam. A Salamence that has danced and has Fire Blast can really wreck this team.

Breloom is cool, but use Jolly Nature, ensuring that you outspeed 252 Adamant Gyarados and 252 Base 80's, like Mamoswine, getting Mach Punch in before it Ice Shards.

Apart from that, seems like a cool team. How does it fare?
 
Yanmega is a good lead, I like your choice on that, but you might want to give him life orb, just to give him that extra KICK. :D Especially if yiu have no SpA EVs...its youre choice though.

DDMence, always astoundingly good. I would keep T-Wave on magnezone, just because he can cripple some sweepers, and he isnt that fast to begin with.

For Fortress, its very good, can SR and spin...and Explosion is niiice. On vaporeon, go with ice beam over toxic, so you can get rid of Mence (or Nite if one comes up). It looks like a wish-passer but its not, and yet its still a good set to use with wish.

Loom looks good, just SD and kill everything...in a way, a plant version of Mence.

Overall Rating: 8 out of 10...a great OU team!

I liek the magnezone set, I will change that thanks.

Forrey will take shed shell too.

Also, Vappy will take Ice Beam.

Oh, and the 252 HP EVs on Mega is a typo, I will change that now. SpA is maxed.
 
Actually, I've noticed a bit of a Zapdos weak here. Your 4 Fire weaknesses hurt you badly here. (Magnezone, Breloom, Yanmega, Forretress) all die to Heat Wave. Thunderbolt slaughters Vaporeon. The only thing that isn't instantly KOd is Salamence who can't switch in on anything bar Heat Wave, especially with no Special Defensive EVs....I suggest you consider fixing this weakness.
 
PErhaps I could make forrey my lead and tehn replace Yanmega with a ScarfTran? I won't necessarily counter it but I won't have a huge weak to Zap and if I can manage to switch in on a heat wave tehn I'm in the money.

The alternative is a CBTar, but I don't like the sandstorm withy only two others immune. Any suggestions?
