[SET]
Iron Defense Stall (Corviknight) @ Maranga Berry

EVs: 248 HP / 8 Def / 44 SpD / 208 Spe
Calm / Careful Nature
- Taunt
- Roost
- Iron Defense
- Body Press / Iron Head

[SET COMMENTS]

Set Description
=============
Corviknight functions as a durable anti-setup wall in the metagame, utilizing its stallbreaking tools like Taunt and Body Press, boosted by the effect of Iron Defense, as well as its stall properties such as the combination of Pressure and Roost. Taunt prevents status moves like Lum Berry Crustle's Shell Smash, slow Cresselia's Calm Mind, or Registeel's Rest and Iron Defense. Roost synergizes excellently with Taunt and Pressure, letting Corviknight outlast common foes like Kee Berry Cresselia, Azumarill, Crustle, and Haxorus. Body Press is Corviknight's primary offensive option, synergizing perfectly with Iron Defense to break through common Steel-types like Ferrothorn, non-Trick Metagross, and Registeel while also handling neutral threats such as Garchomp, Haxorus, and Crustle. Body Press allows Corviknight to defeatl Choice Scarf Porygon-Z. Alternatively, Iron Head provides a more consistent, albeit weaker, STAB attack that helps Corviknight against Aromatisse and Psychic Seed Tapu Lele. Maranga Berry has good synergy with the combination of Taunt + Roost, as it allows Corviknight to defeat special attackers like non-Choice Specs and non-Icy Wind Encore Primarina, Galarian Moltres not running Taunt, and Choice Specs Sylveon.

EVs
=============
The investment in HP and Defense allows Corviknight to reliably survive two Choice Band-boosted Close Combat from Haxorus by clicking Iron Defense on the first turn. 208 Spe EVs let Corviknight outspeed Choice Band Tyranitar and neutral-natured base 60 Speed Pokemon such as fast Primarina. The remaining EVs are put in Special Defense for maximum odds against Choice Specs Primarina, Life Orb Protect Naganadel, and other strong special attackers.

Usage Tips
=============
As a stall Pokemon, Corviknight is vulnerable to Trick users like Choice Scarf Cresselia and Choice Scarf Metagross; therefore, think carefully of your opponent's set before sending Corviknight out. Corviknight's primary goal is to shut down the physical attackers mentioned above with its combination of Iron Defense + Body Press. However, some of these physical attackers carry tools to turn the tables on Corviknight. For example, Crustle often utilizes Counter in combination with its Sturdy ability, and can be supported by Mental Herb to block Taunt from Corviknight. In this matchup, Corviknight should prioritize using Iron Defense to boost and then stall Crustle out with Pressure and Taunt + Roost, or take advantage of the turn Crustle is recharging after Rock Wrecker to safely use Body Press without risking the Counter. Against Landorus-T, using Iron Defense on the first turn allows for victory against any set that is not running both Smack Down and Swords Dance. This Corviknight set is able to outspeed common Galarian Moltres sets such as Custap Berry and Rocky Helmet, so Taunt on the first turn to prevent Nasty Plot. This, alongside the activation of Maranga Berry allows Corviknight to secure this matchup. Taunt on the first turn should also be used against Primarina to prevent it from using either Encore or Calm Mind. Against fast special powerhouses that threaten a KO, like Life Orb Protect Naganadel, Choice Specs Dragapult, or Choice Specs Kyurem, using Roost t1 to stall out their threatening moves tends to offer the best chance of victory.

[SET]
Substitute Stall (Corviknight) @ Leftovers
Ability: Pressure
EVs: 160 HP / 228 SpD / 120 Spe
Careful Nature
- Taunt
- Roost
- Substitute
- Iron Head / Protect

[SET COMMENTS]

Set Description
=============
Substitute Stall Corviknight main standout feature is its ability to outrun and defeat Choice Specs Volcanion with the combination of Pressure and Substitute + Leftovers, as well as beating Aromatisse reliably thanks to Leftovers combined with Pressure. Taunt prevents Primarina from using Calm Mind and Encore, and allows Corviknight to defeat Kee Berry Cresselia. Substitute + Roost, in conjuction with Pressure, help Corviknight stall out Pokemon like Choice Specs Primarina, Chansey, and Iron Defense + Amnesia Registeel. In the final moveslot, Iron Head allows Corviknight to secure the win against Psychic Seed Tapu Lele sets, while Protect synergizes well with Leftovers and Pressure + Substitute to stall out Choice Specs Dragapult and Choice Band Haxorus.

EVs
=============
With its HP and Special Defense investment, Corviknight has the best possible odds against Choice Specs Primarina, as they allow it to tank a Hydro Cannon and multiple hits from Sparkling Aria as well as possible. 120 EVs in Speed let Corviknight outrun Adamant Aggron.

Usage Tips
=============
Against Choice Specs Volcanion and Choice Specs Primarina, the combination of Substitute + Roost allows Corviknight to stall with Pressure and secure the win. Corviknight should constantly use Substitute, followed by Protect, then Roost, and another Protect against Choice Band Haxorus in order to win the matchup by PP stalling Haxorus's Close Combat. If Corviknight doesn't run Protect, then it just keeps Roosting until Choice Band Haxorus runs out of Close Combat PP. Due to the significant risk of Corviknight being OHKOed by a Choice Band Aggron, it is mandatory to use Substitute on the first turn to avoid a potential Head Smash. This should be followed by Roost, enabling Corviknight to gradually win through Pressure-based PP stalling with the combination of Substitute + Roost. When facing Sylveon, if you are not sure of its set, start by using Substitute to block Yawn, then keep its HP high with Roost, creating a new Substitute whenever the old one breaks.

[STRATEGY COMMENTS]
Other Options
=============
On the fast Substitute stall set, Body Press can be used over Iron Head as last move to have better odds against Tyranitar. With an Occa Berry and an EV spread of 16 HP / 252 Defense / 240 Speed alongside an Impish nature, Corviknight is able to survive a hit and subsequently defeat Jolly Choice Scarf Galarian Darmanitan with Body Press. This set also beats Entei sets not running Eruption. Mirror Armor is an option on Iron Defense Corviknight sets that beats Icy Wind Encore Primarina by negating the Speed drop, as well as AV Arcanine by reflecting its own Intimidate back on it, but the loss of Pressure makes many matchups less reliable.

Corviknight functions as a durable anti-setup wall and stalling threat in the metagame, utilizing its stallbreaking tools like Taunt and Body Press, boosted by the effect of Iron Defense, as well as its stall properties such as the combination of Pressure and Roost. using Iron Defense to Its unique move and Ability combination, allows Corviknight to shut down a wide range of physical attackers such as Garchomp, non-Trick Metagross, Ferrothorn, and Haxorus. Taunt lets Corviknight beat setup Pokemon like Registeel, Kee Berry Cresselia, and Lum Berry Crustle, while also shutting down passive Pokemon that rely on stall strategies like Chansey and Ferrothorn Tapu Bulu (better leave Bulu outside of benchmark discussion/reliable matchup discussion because this can be reduced to a contest of who speedcreeps who to get the first Taunt off). Body Press boosted by Iron Defense allows Corviknight to also defeat foes that normally resist Body Press damage, such as Azumarill and Landorus-T without Smack Down. Alternatively, Iron Head provides a more consistent, albeit weaker, STAB attack that helps Corviknight against Choice Scarf Togekiss. (Iron Head pros: better Yawn Sylveon. Cons: Ttar has a better chance at winning and opposing Corviknight becomes a significantly worse matchup. I don't think Togekiss is a good example with Fire Blast around. Would you predict the fire blast or the trick in that case?) Maranga Berry has a good synergy with the combination of Taunt + Roost, as it allows Corviknight to defeat special attackers like non-Choice Specs Primarina, Galarian Moltres not running Taunt, Choice Scarf Tapu Lele., and non-Thunderbolt Porygon-Z.

(general comment: many repetitions of the same matchups across sentences, maybe try to keep that info more concise)
(matchup comment: PZ's diversity is too much for a Corviknight to handle unless it's maybe an exclusive non-Trick non-Tbolt, non-Plot, not bulky...you get the idea. I think you should drop that mon from this analysis)

As a stall Pokemon, Corviknight is vulnerable to Trick users like Choice Scarf Cresselia, Choice Scarf Porygon-Z, and Choice Scarf Metagross; therefore, think carefully of your opponent's set before sending Corviknight out. Corviknight's primary goal is to shut down the physical attackers mentioned above with its combination of Iron Defense + Body Press. However, some of these physical attackers carry tools to turn the tables on Corviknight. For example, Crustle commonly runs Counter alongside its Sturdy ability, often supported by Mental Herb to block Taunt from Corviknight (rewrite this part, I read it as if you need to run Herb and click Counter, but what you really mean is that they can sometimes Shell Smash for free, or that a well-timed Counter can drop Corviknight). In this matchup, Corviknight should prioritize using Iron Defense to boost and then stall Crustle out with Pressure and Taunt + Roost, or take advantage of the turn Crustle is recharging after Rock Wrecker to safely use Body Press without risking the Counter. Against Assault Vest Landorus-T, which carries Smack Down, always use Iron Defense on the first turn and then Pressure + Roost is enough to secure the win, although there is the risk of the critical hit. Notice that this matchup is impossible for Corviknight to win, should your opponent run Smack Down on an offense-orientated set such as Swords Dance Life Orb. This Corviknight set is able to outspeed common Galarian Moltres sets such as Custap Berry and Rocky Helmet, so Taunt on the first turn to prevent Nasty Plot alongside the activation of Maranga Berry allows Corviknight to secure this matchup. Taunt on the first turn should also be used against Primarina to prevent it from using either Encore or Calm Mind.

Substitute Stall Corviknight main standout feature is its ability to outrun and defeat Choice Specs Volcanion with the combination of Pressure and Substitute + Leftovers, as well as beating Aromatisse thanks to Leftovers combined with Pressure. Taunt prevents Custap Berry Sylveon and Life Orb Sylveon from using Fake Tears or Yawn respectively, Primarina from using Calm Mind and Encore, and allows Corviknight to defeat Kee Berry Cresselia. Substitute + Roost, in conjuction with Pressure, help Corviknight stall Pokemon like Choice Band Azumarill, Chansey, and Iron Defense + Amnesia Registeel. (try to find something more relevant than Band Azumarill, my best guess up to now is Aggron. Also, beating Specs Prim is another feature this set has to complement the first set) In the final moveslot, Iron Head allows Corviknight to secure the win against Sylveon, while Protect synergizes well with Leftovers and Pressure + Substitute to stall foes like Choice Specs Volcanion.

Against Choice Specs Volcanion and Choice Specs Primarina, the combination of Substitute + Roost allows Corviknight to stall Volcanion with Pressure and secure the win. Corviknight should constantly use Roost against Choice Band Haxorus in order to win the matchup by PP stalling Haxorus's Close Combat. When facing Sylveon, if you are not sure of its set, start by using Substitute to block Yawn, then follow up with Taunt to prevent another Yawn and Fake Tears. After that, consistently using Substitute + Taunt will allow Corviknight to comfortably outlast and win the matchup, although you should be aware of Hyper Voice's damage rolls when using Substitute. (shouldn't you add a comment about how to approach the Specs Prim matchup and a comment about Substitute + Roost plays vs Aggron?)

[STRATEGY COMMENTS]
Other Options
=============
The combination of Spite + Substitute + Pressure allows Corviknight to rapidly drain the opponent’s PP, effectively stalling threats out, such as Aromatisse. In the fast Substitute stall set, Body Press can be used over Iron Head as last move to have better odds against Tyranitar. (This set is able to defeat Aromatisse without the need for Spite)
A valid other option is Occa Berry with a physical benchmark for Scarf Darm Galar.

Iron Defense Stall (Corviknight) @ Maranga Berry
Ability: Pressure
EVs: 248 HP / 8 Def / 44 SpD / 208 Spe
Impish Calm/Careful Nature (Compendium Corviknight runs Calm and the EVs only make sense if you're +SpD. Strictly speaking it should be Calm/Careful depending on whether you have Iron Head or not. I personally suspect Careful is just generally better bc of Struggle rolls vs Aromatisse tbh but just make it a slash.)

- Iron Defense
- Body Press / Iron Head

[SET COMMENTS]

Set Description
=============
Corviknight functions as a durable anti-setup wall and stalling threat in the metagame, utilizing its stallbreaking tools like Taunt and Body Press, boosted by the effect of Iron Defense ('wall and stalling threat' sounds double. Also, I think the comma after Body Press currently suggests that Taunt is also being boosted by Iron Defense), as well as its stall properties such as the combination of Pressure and Roost. Pressure allows Corviknight to to shut down a wide range of physical attackers such as Garchomp, non-Trick Metagross, and Haxorus. (Really not a fan of this sentence because Corv is not winning those matchups via Pressure, it's winning them with typing and recovery and ID. Pressure is largely just about reducing hax vs things like specs kyurem, increasing the chance you can beat specs pult or LO protect naga, beating Chansey if you run Iron Head, maybe helping vs stall cress some - but really just drop this bit) Taunt lets Corviknight beat setup Pokemon like Registeel, Kee Berry Cresselia, and Lum Berry Crustle, while also shutting down Pokemon that rely on stall strategies like Chansey and Ferrothorn Taunt prevents status moves like Lum Berry Crustle's Shell Smash, slow Cresselia's Calm Mind, or Registeel's Rest and Iron Defense. (Weird juxtaposition here - how does Ferrothorn 'rely on stall strategies' but not Registeel? I like Crustle and Chansey but every other example blurs the binary you're setting up, best to go with something less ambiguous here). Body Press boosted by Iron Defense allows Corviknight to also defeat foes that normally resist Body Press damage, such as Azumarill and Landorus-T without Smack Down. (I think this whole section is kind of weird. Corv does not defeat Azumarill 'because' of ID boosting body press damage, that's just a bonus that lets it win faster. Mention how Body Press is useful versus Choice Scarf Trick Porygon-Z, that set doesn't run Tbolt bc it beats nothing reliably so you're fine) Alternatively, Iron Head provides a more consistent, albeit weaker, STAB attack that helps Corviknight against Sylveon (Not actually needed. Body Press Corviknight can still just keep Sylveon permataunted and roost off the damage while slowly chipping Sylveon down. I do think Iron Head sometimes? lets you beat Aromatisse so maybe mention that.) and Psychic Seed Tapu Lele. Maranga Berry has good synergy with the combination of Taunt + Roost, as it allows Corviknight to defeat special attackers like non-Choice Specs non-Icy Wind Encore Primarina, Galarian Moltres not running Taunt, and Choice Scarf Tapu Lele (Bad example, you don't need the SpD boost to beat that. I'd mention Choice Specs Sylveon maybe, or Choice Specs Kyurem, though freeze makes that last one unreliable. Feel free to fill in the blank with another matchup where Maranga matters.)

EVs
=============
The investment in HP and Defense allows Corviknight to reliably survive a two Choice Band-boosted Close Combats from Haxorus by clicking Iron Defense on the first turn of combat.

Landorus-T, using Iron Defense on the first turn allows for victory against any set that is not running both Smack Down and Swords Dance. (This is just a lot of text with 1 core sentiment in it and I think it can really be condensed down to get the message across better) This Corviknight set is able to outspeed common Galarian Moltres sets such as Custap Berry and Rocky Helmet, so Taunt on the first turn to prevent Nasty Plot. This, alongside the activation of Maranga Berry allows Corviknight to secure this matchup. (Splitting this in two sentences makes it a bit easier to read, and doesn't suggest Maranga Berry activates because of Taunt) Taunt on the first turn should also be used against Primarina to prevent it from using either Encore or Calm Mind. Against fast special powerhouses that threaten a KO, like Life Orb Protect Naganadel, Choice Specs Dragapult, or Choice Specs Kyurem, using Roost t1 to stall out their threatening moves tends to offer the best chance of victory.

- Substitute
- Iron Head / Protect

[SET COMMENTS]

Set Description
=============
Substitute Stall Corviknight main standout feature is its ability to outrun and defeat Choice Specs Volcanion with the combination of Pressure and Substitute + Leftovers, as well as beating Aromatisse reliably thanks to Leftovers combined with Pressure. Taunt prevents Custap Berry Sylveon and Life Orb Sylveon from using Fake Tears or Yawn respectively (Unhelpful example - you could click Substitute on these Pokemon regardless.), Primarina from using Calm Mind and Encore, and allows Corviknight to defeat Kee Berry Cresselia. Substitute + Roost, in conjuction with Pressure, help Corviknight stall out Pokemon like Choice Specs Primarina, Chansey, and Iron Defense + Amnesia Registeel. In the final moveslot, Iron Head allows Corviknight to secure the win against Sylveon Psychic Seed Tapu Lele sets, while Protect synergizes well with Leftovers and Pressure + Substitute to stall out Choice Specs Volcanion (Poor example - Choice Specs Volcanion has like 8 pp on the moves that hurt you, you don't need Protect for that. As an alternative, consider Choice Specs Dragapult or Choice Band Haxorus as matchups improved with Protect)

EVs
=============
With its HP and Special Defense investment, Corviknight has better the best possible odds against Choice Specs Primarina (Better is a relative term and I'm not seeing what it's relative to), as they allow it to tank a Hydro Cannon and multiple hits from Sparkling Aria as well as possible. (Slight ranges where those moves OHKO or 2HKO remain)120 EVs in Speed let Corviknight outrun Adamant Aggron. (Doesn't hurt to specify)

(Magnezone isn't the most relevant mon anymore but an altspread that runs 220 speed alongside Sub + Protect to stall it out would be nice to have here)

Usage Tips
=============
Against Choice Specs Volcanion and Choice Specs Primarina, the combination of Substitute + Roost allows Corviknight to stall Volcanion (You already mentioned Volcanion in this sentence) with Pressure and secure the win. Corviknight should constantly use Roost against Choice Band Haxorus in order to win the matchup by PP stalling Haxorus's Close Combat. (Sub -> Protect -> Roost -> Protect is better for sets that run Protect as it doesn't die to high rolls) Due to the significant risk of Corviknight being OHKOed by a Choice Band Aggron, it is mandatory to use Substitute on the first turn to scout the locked move avoid a potential Head Smash (It's not scouting if you're following the same gameplan regardless of your observation). This should be followed by Roost, enabling Corviknight to gradually win through Pressure-based PP stalling with the combination of Substitute + Roost. When facing Sylveon, if you are not sure of its set, start by using Substitute to block Yawn, then follow up with Taunt to prevent another Yawn and Fake Tears (Genuinely unsure what this means. If you've got a substitute up you don't particularly need to Taunt t2). After that, consistently using Substitute + Taunt will allow Corviknight to comfortably outlast and win the matchup, although you should be aware of Hyper Voice's damage rolls when using Substitute. then keep its HP high with Roost, creating a new Substitute whenever the old one breaks. (Why say many word when few word do trick.)

[STRATEGY COMMENTS]
Other Options
=============
The combination of Spite + Substitute + Pressure allows Corviknight to rapidly drain the opponent’s PP, and is a useful tool against opposing Volcanion sets that are not locked into one move due to Choice Specs (Not correct. Sub + Protect is enough to deal with Sitrus/Custap Volcanion as presented in the compendium and Flame Charge or faster sets win regardless. Find a better example of Spite doing something or drop the set. Also, make it explicit that you'd still want to run Roost.). In On the fast Substitute stall set, Body Press can be used over Iron Head as last move to have better odds against Tyranitar. With an Occa Berry and an EV spread of 16 HP / 252 Defense / 240 Speed alongside an Impish nature, Corviknight is able to endure survive (Endure is the name of a move and may be needlessly confusing) a hit and subsequently defeat Jolly-natured Choice Scarf Galarian Darmanitan with Body Press. and This set also beats Pressure Stall Entei sets not running Eruption. (AV flare blitz doesn't 2HKO between occa and ID so you can stall that one out also if it's full physical) Mirror Armor is an option on Iron Defense Corviknight sets that beats Icy Wind Encore Primarina by negating the Speed drop, as well as AV Arcanine by reflecting its own Intimidate back on it, but the loss of Pressure makes many matchups less reliable.

You correctly identify winnable matchups but arbitrarily attribute them to different parts of Corviknight's set (Azumarill is beaten thanks to Roost, but WP Metagross thanks to Pressure? Protect helps vs 8 PP wonder specs volcanion?) and it makes the whole article less informative than it could be. I do like how thorough this is and I learned a few new things about Corv during this QC!

Tag me when implemented and I'll give it a second look.

Looks great, congrats on qc 2/2.
