I recently found a tier list maker for SS CAP that has pretty much everything you could want to rank on it. Check it out here

Looking at the SS CAP VR post-CAPPL X is somewhat sad. I think there are quite a few things that are very poorly ranked. Here is my take:

Usage stats from CAPPL are out, let's take a look!

TOP 10

It is no surprise that Arghonaut takes the top spot. The classic SpikesThrow set is just as good now as it was years ago. CAPPL did see some moveset experimentation, namely with Toxic as a means of tipping the Arghonaut ditto, but the meta remains predicated around breaking Arghonaut and keeping it healthy. Landorus-T taking the second slot, however, is initially surprising. Landorus-T has direct competition from Equilibra as a Ground-type removal option, and I know some people definitely prefer Equilibra on a lot of teams for its better Lele matchup. However, I think Lando's higher usage is due to its better matchup into Arghonaut. Equilibra cannot pressure Arghonaut whatsoever, while Landorus can smack it with Toxic and Knock Off. This also makes Libra a more ineffectual removal option against Arghonaut's Spikes. Tornadus and Heatran perform much the same in CAP as they do in OU; Torn benefits from positive matchups into the two best CAPs but suffers from the increased Zapdos usage. Tapu Lele sees increased usage in CAP just due to it having another common defensive Pokemon to force out (Arghonaut), but it isn't too crazy. Clef is a lot lower here than in OU (something I don't super understand) but I think this is partly due to how Arghonaut just blanks Weavile, removing the need for Clefable on a lot of teams. Melmetal sees lower usage here because Arghonaut and Equilibra are positive into it; however, it is Melm, it isn't ever bad.

Dragapult is lower here than it really should be, but I do feel like part of that is due to CAP players often preferring Tapu Lele as the special wallbreaker. The more interesting thing to note here is the lack of Toxapex, which you would think would be great for its matchup into Arghonaut. However, more Lele and Equilibra makes Toxapex a less attractice defensive Water-type than Tapu Fini and Slowbro. Ferrothorn sees a small decrease in usage from OU, as CAP adds Astrolotl and Arghonaut as spiking competition, particularly on balance due to their more consistent recovery. Garchomp behaves fairly similarly in CAP as it does in OU; SD sets can't get past Arghonaut but they do guarantee chip on it and are still fine to play with. Zeraora seeing 7 uses is fairly unusual, but this can be attributed to Equilibra's effect on the metagame. If you want an offensive Electric-type, players are more often looking to offensive Zapdos and Zeraora than Tapu Koko because of Libra. Urshifu being so low in usage here compared to OU is largely due to it sharing a full typing with Arghonaut; I actually think it is a bit better in CAP than it is in OU because it can power through Argh and it actually OHKOes Libra. Only other thing to note here is the 6 uses of Pyroak, pretty much exclusively HO. I don't think it is that good on all the HO it gets used on, but it is clear that the niche for the Pokemon has been found. Kartana being here rather than higher is likely due to the increased Zapdos usage but I think it is likely better than this ranking indicates.
