Although it is outclassed, Lightning Rod lets it gain momentum against the likes of Rotom and Manectric. Seaking isn't worth using because its stats are too bad to properly function as both an Electric check and a defensive pivot since majority of the tier can 3HKO it and only having RestTalk is not reliable.

As for Water-type pivots, it is outclassed by Kabutops, who notably has Knock Off as well, and Silvally-Water. i think you should say offensive sets are outclassed by Kabutops (which has every tool seaking has like you said), while defensive ones are outclassed by silvally-water, articuno, and clefairy.

This gives it the ability as a Volt blocker its ability Lightning Rod lets it act as a unique Electric immunity (your wording made it seem like seaking was viable by implying it had a niche) which can help gain momentum against the likes of Rotom and Manectric. Seaking isn't worth using because there are better pivots that can perform a similar role like Kabutops and Silvally-Water, while there are also better Volt blockers like Stunfisk and Rhydon. i dont agree with this last sentence. Kabutops and Silvally-Water dont compete with seaking in that role as they are more offensive. id say seaking's stats are too bad for it to function correctly as both an elec immunity and a defensive pivot, as most of the tiers easily 3HKOes it and it relies on resttalk to heal.
