Welcome to the second edition of SS Grand Slam! The Ubers, UU, RU, NU, and LC Opens return for the second time, commencing the competition as players will compete to be crowned the SS Grand Slam Champion!OP shamelessly stolen from the last edition!
The format starts with a regular season consisting in five separate tournaments: The SS Ubers Open, the SS UU Open, the SS RU Open, the SS NU Open, and the SS PU Open. Depending on your performance in each Open, you will be awarded points. The point system is the same as the one used in Smogon Tour, Smogon Classic and previous years of Smogon Grand Slam- see this for further explanation. When all the Opens have been finished, the eight players with the most points will qualify for playoffs. There, the battlers will duke it out in a single elimination best-of-five series until there is one SS Grand Slam champion!
Here is the list of the five Opens and the dates each signups will be posted:
- The SS Ubers Open - Hosted by goldmason - December 15th
- The SS UU Open - Hosted by Yash Vortex - December 15th
- The SS RU Open - Hosted by IncredibleKing - December 22nd
- The SS NU Open - Hosted by Oathkeeper - December 22nd
- The SS PU Open - Hosted by Zac - December 29th
If a tier shift happens to occur during a round, it will not be taken into account until the following round. Be sure to join the SS Discord server if you have any questions or wish to ask a host about a decision. More information on the tournament, standings spreadsheet, and any other logistics will be edited here and posted about in the near future -- stay tuned!
