SS infodump incoming. Was voting on the latest VR slate and am a bit distraught at some of the impending changes so I'd like to introduce some facts > feelings (and some new teams)
NEW GUYS:

they wanna rank qwilfish. ive never seen this guy once ngl. im sure i could be convinced but atm it just feels like a random nomination. i guess anything seems random when im excluded from every conversation n_n
centiskorch, silv fairy and ghost, malamar, articuno, kingdra, and co*** are all mons im kinda shocked werent already ranked im ngl. good additions :D
So firstly we are removing the S- rank. I think that's fine, Stakataka can drop to A+, but the other two should be in S imo. Silvally-G and Vileplume completely shape the metagame and dictate what is viable, and new developments in their sets have profound effects on the tier. Silvally-G invites us to use dogshit mons like Tangela and Weezing just to have a chance vs it, and Vileplume does the same for Pokemon like Drampa and Articuno-G. Obviously counterplay exists for these Pokemon much like it does for Rotom-C but they have so many tools / the ability to overcome a large majority of these things with minimal effort.
the A+ tier is perfect, chef's kiss. Copper, Muds, Sylveon, Talon, Toxicroak are all amazing. Sylveon may deserve to drop if not for Choice Specs sets existing alongside WishTect. HOWEVER. Aerodactyl is DEFINITELY an A+ Pokemon now. In SSPL we see it in the top 10 of usage stats every single week, and the compression of SR on a Pokemon that doesn't have 3 base speed is AMAZING. Aero also checks stuff like the ever-rising Salazzle and can actually maintain Stealth Rock vs the likes of Talonflame and Xatu. Aero is amazing and holds a lot of non-Vapo balances together. he should be A+.
Scrafty should not be in A. He can auto win games yea? build a better team. It's not hard to add some scrafty counterplay to your team and make it completely useless. it's still very good obviously but not A. he should be B+ or A-
you know who should be A or A+? escavalier! This SSPL and NUPL were AMAZING for Escavalier, really showcasing its superior typing and bulk to stakataka, with a ton of tricks up its sleeve too, making it REALLY hard to prep for. the council is already on top of this; it should be at A next update, i just wanna say i agree with them n_n
i talked with pokeslice and he does not like starmie, but i think its AMAZING. after roxie put me onto it during NUPL ive come to greatly respect it. it SHREDS bulky teams with minimal effort with life orb or choice specs sets while having a speed tier that mons like vaniluxe or exploud barely reach with a choice scarf. Starmie has the coverage for every check in the game ngl i would hate starmie too if this happened to me

Xatu is AMAZING, mbounce is fundamentally broken and xatu's ground immunity lets it perfectly blank standard mudsdale sets. I think people are stuck in the past with Xatu. This Pokemon is a pivot for offense, not some balance guy. You throw him on a team, prevent rocks, even chipping stakataka with helmet before dying, and this enables offense GREATLY while facilitating some insane breakers like vaniluxe. xatu has one of the best winrates in NU teamtours and a large portion of this is because of its "cheese" sets, which are surprisingly consistent. one wrong turn vs this Pokemon and you can just LOSE, and even if it doesnt work out you still have a mon that can deny stealth rock. this is not to mention the strength sap counterplay that allows offensive teams to deal with vileplume.
I think I'm alone here and that's fine but decidueye kinda sucks. i'd only use him on HO because GENERALLY he does whatever job he does as a well-rounded guy worse than any other mon. the knock weakness is huge and being a grass type that loses to scald really blows. I'm a Dhelmise kinda girl all the way through. Decid should drop to B+
Speaking of B+. Inteleon should not drop. i see that it's about to. y'all better not that guy is BROKEN into non water immune teams and still puts in work vs vapo and mantine by facilitating stuff like croak / eggy. Other mons already in B+:
why is duraludon here? this mon is more on-paper than it's bulk, and that's saying something. this mon has never seen the light of day in an important match and feels really wrong next to actual important staples like heliolisk and passimian.
galarcuno can drop, I see it's about to and that's fine but i disagree personally. Future Sight is really strong and hard to come by in NU, and its ability to check silvally-g and vileplume in one slot is really incredible.
stunfisk-g maybe a bit overrated initially, I'd rather use togedemaru if i wanna own mowtom
weezing sucks imo but it may rise. it shits on those basic eeveelution + mudsdale + steel balances but what doesn't nowadays, those teams are relics.
B tier honestly no comments. any of these could rise or drop I don't really care. why is lycanroc not next to sandslash and gigalith?
tyrantrum and sceptile could rise, they never got enough appreciation and especially @ ttrum, muds has fallen off a bit and this guy dishes out INSANE damage to anything not named mudsdale. you can also just run toxic on a CB set and beat muds long-term anyway. super underrated mon.
B- tier:
Aurorus could rise, I love it as an HO lead, probably the best one imo
Drampa can drop, it's one of my favorite mons but if it got unranked today I wouldn't care. it's really bad and barely does the few things its actually meant to do like checking plume. too frail, too slow, not enough moves to work.
eldegoss should RISE! it's soooo good, the best mowtom check ever, has rapid spin, can sleep its check or leech seed them and switch out. leech and sleep make it not as passive as it may seem, and they can use eject pack / button to not forfeit all momentum while also making use of pollen puff and even WEATHER BALL

why is gallade so high? i feel like only me and poh have ever used this mon and it has never worked out. danny used it in scl 2 after i passed him a team and said "dude this mon is so bad" and he WON because he's the goat but yea. this mon is C+ at best.
lycanroc: put him with his sandy friends n_n
ninjask is BROKENNNN omfg why do people keep trying to drop him. ignoring speed control is so unfair and it can just uturn on staka forever and once staka is dead nothing beats it. +2 ada acro is seriously strong.
togedemaru is really good too, kinda a cross between aero and eldegoss?. insane utility while still having good speed. I think wish sets are really bad rn but it gets Encore, Toxic, Super Fang, etc and that makes it really obnoxious to deal with.
C+ tier
grimmsnarl and vanilluxe should rise at least one tier, both of these are WAY better than anything else in this tier. raichu-a and pincurchin can also rise, terrain is rlly good.
c tier
audino was about to drop which is WRONG. the pabros love using stall with this guy and honestly the playstyle is nonfunctional without it. knock off, heal bell, wish, toxic, all the coverage it could want and REGEN? this mon is good. stop sleeping
doublade is REALLY good on offense. insane anchor as a physical wall for the playstyle and really dunks on opposing offense. also appreciates the decline of vaporeon but a power herb solar beam was smoking that fish anyway
Druddigon can get rocks up vs xatu okay? cool i guess. so can aero and kabutops and aurorus and those mons actually do shit other than miss Gunk Shot after. Druddigon is trash but if it stays C tier that's fine.
gourgsheist and jynx should have never been ranked, golbat has SOOOO much on paper stuff but we never see it. these guys can be unranked ig.
