SS OU SS OU DUAL-SCREENS HAIL OFFENSE

Ever since DLC 2 the meta has consistently been rotating, we have seen lots of weather teams viable but made redundant due to a peak in them. While rain and sand have dominated and made Sun and hail not viable it is clear that all weathers have ups and downs mainly around the abusers. This team is a mixture of HO, balance and hail with dual screens to minimize the amount of bad matchups, however there is still plenty of counters to be aware of that can usually be dealt with smart play and predictions and keeping the tanks alive, let's get into the team building process.

:ninetales-alola: I needed a hail setter and I decided on ninetales because of screens, I originally had light clay but due to hail running out so quickly I decided on icy rock as by the time I got arctovish in after 1 Pokemon it ran out, and screens went needed while outspeeding and ohkoing everything, nasty plot breaks stallers and blizzard and moonblast are powerful stab.

:arctovish: :arctozolt: Next I needed an abuser so I was debating between the 2 new slush rush pokemon. I decided on arctozolt for excellent water and flying counters and dual stab to deal with electrics weaknesses, grass and ground. I needed some ways to outspeed them which made slush rush.

:swampert: Next I needed a stealth rocker and an electric resist, swampert does this well and catches people off guard with its special defensive investment, it's only weakness is grass, which we have strong counters to.

:mandibuzz: I needed a ground and ghost resist to deal with spectrier and the amount of ground types lurking in OU. It also is a bulky defogger and can live lots of bits under screens and u turn safely into another pokemon.

:rillaboom: I needed a powerful priority so this was originally scizor but due to rain I picked rillaboom, this thing ohkos every glass cannon and super effective hits, it does well at late game cleaning and can often sweep depending on the opponents awareness.

:cinderace: I was deciding for awile what Pokemon to put here, another tank? An attacker? But I decided on cinderace because of Libero. Changing into stab is amazing and boosted even further by LO.

Now we got the team, here's the sets

As previously stated this team isn't invincible, here's a list of counters

opposing weather
:pelipper: :tyranitar:
Opposing weather stools arctovish from sweeping most the time and caused me a swap into another pokemon giving the opponent a free turn, rain can also weaken cinderace.

Unburden Terrains
:hawlucha: I hate these teams because they outspeed and kill everything and especially hawlucha resists both my priority and can setup on my Pokemon and has a defensive boost from the terrain seed.

:pheromosa: :buzzwole:
Pheromosa can be dealt with but it requires sacrifices to either rillaboom or cinderace (unless you live a hit)), if it's modest or adamant it's no problem, timid or jolly is the problem, to deal with this go for stealth rock with swampert then sacrifice cinderace or rillaboom and take it out with the remaining priority. Buzzwole lives Fishous rend and can dish insane damage to the team. If cinderace died you are basically done for.

And that's the team, feel free to share any suggestions or mark any weaknesses that I missed

Nice team, however I feel utility cinderace would be better to better deal with hazard weakness, or maybe replace rillaboom with bulk up urshifu? I’m not sure if this would help but it would add some bulk and utility to your team.

We need more firepower and court change wastes screens so an all out attacking set works fine, urshifu is possible but sucker punch won't hit everything, while gg can

Wait you said at the top that you decided on using Arctozolt, but in the team you used Arctovish? Arctozolt is the clear better option as the Electric-Ice dual stab is incredibly good having nearly no shared resistances except for things like Magnezone, which is hit by Low Kick. I would 100% recommend you maintain your original decision. Arctozolt only needs 3 moves to succeed and it will likely only be clicking 2, Bolt Beak and Icicle Crash. It doesn't need moves like Psychic Fangs or Freeze-dry to hit bulky waters, it has a stab for that. Try running this set:

Arctozolt @ Life Orb
Ability: Slush Rush
EVs: 252 Atk / 4 SpD / 252 Spe
Jolly Nature
- Bolt Beak
- Icicle Crash
- Low Kick
- Substitute

Arctozolt is a much better option, as with its dual stab it doesn't need a fourth move. This fourth move can be replace by substitute, which you can click to avoid getting Bolt Beak/Icicle Crash 50/50s wrong. The choice of item and nature really sucks for Arctozolt tho, as it needs Jolly to outspeed +speed mosa and it needs Adamant's power. It would really like Heavy-Duty Boots or Leftovers to continue making more subs but Life Orb's power is also needed. Mix and match to your liking.

A couple more edits:
-Change Foul Play on Mandibuzz to Knock off, as most Sub-Wisp Spectriers EV to live burnt foul play behind a sub. Knock off makes sure that you'll always be able to break Spectrier's sub while burnt.
-Consider toxic on Swampert over Yawn. Toxic can help you deal with the walls you mention in your difficulties section like Buzzwole.
-Consider a more supportive set for Alolan ninetales, with moves such as Hypnosis (if you remove yawn on Swampert), Hail (to set up hail as other weather setters are coming in) or other niche moves like Disable, Encore, Heal Bell, or Toxic.
-I also don't see why you can't run Heavy-Duty Boots on Cinderace, as it gives it increased longevity and more utility. Cinderace really wants to be an offensive pivot but if hail and rocks are up its taking about 40% every time it comes in from Rocks, Hail chip, and Life Orb

So about the arctozolt, yea I changed my mind but forgot to edit the moveset, and hdb on cinderace is because I needed an offensive machine and I usually send it in early game as I save arctozolt to clean up, I'll edit the team later to my new edits, foul play is there to counter stuff like lando-t and rillaboom but I agree knock off would be better, overall I will review these changes and actually edit right.

Update: I edited the new changes, thanks for helping
