SS ou my first pokemon team

I wanted to build a team around Melmetal and garchomp
i made this team to try some strategies I haven't tried before

Melmetal @ Assault Vest
Ability: Iron Fist
EVs: 252 HP / 252 Atk / 4 SpD
Adamant Nature
- Double Iron Bash
- Earthquake
- Thunder Punch
- Ice Punch

my melmetal is one of the 2 pokemon in my core and a really tanky pokemon with assault vest and my check to many powerfull pokemon and it can even survive and ohko back on cinderace's pyroball
252 Atk Life Orb Cinderace Pyro Ball vs. 252 HP / 0 Def Melmetal: 346-408 (72.9 - 86%) -- guaranteed 2HKO
252+ Atk Melmetal Earthquake vs. 0 HP / 4 Def Cinderace: 326-384 (108.3 - 127.5%) -- guaranteed OHKO

melmetal double iron bash is actually stronger if it hits neutrally then if one of my moves is super effective
252+ Atk Iron Fist Melmetal Double Iron Bash (2 hits) vs. 0 HP / 4 Def Hydreigon: 302-356 (92.9 - 109.5%) -- approx. 62.5% chance to OHKO

Garchomp @ Rocky Helmet
Ability: Rough Skin
EVs: 252 HP / 252 Def / 4 SpD
Impish Nature
- Stealth Rock
- Earthquake
- Dragon Tail
- Toxic

my lead and second part of my core its and a fantastic physical check and can almost always get sr up or toxic the other lead.
With earthquake it has the ability to dish out some good damage and not making it setup bait lando-t could be use instead but it doesn't have rough skin and therefore can't punish physical moves as much.

Gyarados @ Choice Scarf
Ability: Moxie
EVs: 252 Atk / 4 SpD / 252 Spe
Jolly Nature
- Earthquake
- Waterfall
- Power Whip
- Ice Fang

with moxie and max speed its a good revenge killer and can clean up late game due to its good attack moxie and a scarf. waterfall for stab earthquake for toxapex and magerna. powerwhip for water types and ice fang for dragons and lando-t

Nidoking (M) @ Life Orb
Ability: Sheer Force
EVs: 252 SpA / 4 SpD / 252 Spe
Timid Nature
IVs: 0 Atk
- Earth Power
- Sludge Wave

maybe the best offensive poison type and an incredible check to fairy types that I struggle with. earth power and slugde wave for stab and then boltbeam coverage

Tapu Fini @ Leftovers
Ability: Misty Surge
EVs: 252 HP / 4 Def / 252 SpD
Calm Nature
IVs: 0 Atk
- Defog
- Scald
- Taunt
- Haze

I think this is the best check to setup magerna and a good defogger that can taunt scald is for burn haze for magerna and other setup threats

Hydreigon @ Life Orb
Ability: Levitate
EVs: 252 SpA / 4 SpD / 252 Spe
Timid Nature
IVs: 0 Atk
- Earth Power

A dangerous sweeper with great power that can easily blow holes after a boosts or clean up if there isn't any faster mons. nasty plot to setup draco meteor for seriously strong stab move earth power for coverage on steel types and flash cannon for fairies

I hope that you can can help me with making my team better and make it easier to cover threats and counters

This looks like a pretty good team for a first attempt, and there’s some good stuff here.
Some things to consider:
This team has no reliable recovery moves or regenerator mons, so you‘re going to get worn down easily. Not having recovery is pretty much unviable outside of HO in the current meta, so that needs to change. Adding something like Pex or Slowbro might help.
You also get absolutely taken apart by Rillaboom-Melmetal isn’t a reliable switch-in because most Rillaboom run Drain Punch or Superpower. Maybe swap out Melmetal for Corviknight, Skarm, or Zapdos to give yourself a more reliable counter to Rillaboom and Kartana, as well as another mon with reliable recovery.
Not having any fire or fighting coverage means you’re going to struggle against Ferrothorn, so consider putting Flamethrower on Hydreigon or Nidoking. Fire Blast over Dragon Tail on Garchomp could be could for the surprise factor, or alternatively you could give Melmetal Superpower if you decide to keep it.
I hope this helps!
