Adamant Nature
- Earthquake
- Rock Wrecker
- Rock Blast
- Ice Punch / Fire Punch / Counter

[SET COMMENTS]

Set Description
=============
Thanks to its high Attack stat and access to strong physical moves, Rhyperior is an excellent Choice Band user. Earthquake OHKOes foes like non-Air Balloon Metagross, Tapu Koko, and Haxorus. Rock Wrecker OHKOes Pokemon like Togekiss, Azumarill, and Sitrus Berry Primarina while it also gives solid odds against most Celesteela sets. Rock Blast allows Rhyperior to defeat Crustle, Stall Zapdos and Entei, and Volcarona running Substitute. In the final moveslot, Ice Punch secures the Garchomp matchup, Fire Punch defeats Ferrothorn, and Counter helps against threats like Air Balloon Metagross and bulky Landorus-T sets.

EVs
=============
The Defense EVs allow Rhyperior to survive an Earthquake from Choice Band Landorus-T, allowing it to KO back with either Rock Wrecker or Counter. 164 Speed is enough for Rhyperior to outpace the likes of Sylveon and Sitrus Berry Primarina. The rest of the EVs are put in Attack to get the best possible rolls against Celesteela.

Usage Tips
=============
When using Choice Band Rhyperior, you should opt to click the most damaging move. Versus Stall Pokémon running Substitute like Entei and Zapdos, Rock Blast is preferred over Rock Wrecker to break through Substitute and avoid PP reduction. Against Volcarona Rock Blast is the optimal click, since there are Volcarona variants running Substitute. Against Pokémon that use Endure, such as Galarian Moltres and Custap Berry Volcarona, it's best to use Rock Blast over Rock Wrecker to avoid giving them an extra turn during the recharge phase, which could cost you the matchup. Counter should be used against Pokemon that are not threatened by Rhyperior's STAB moves, such as Landorus-T, Garchomp, and Air Balloon Metagross.

Standard Assault Vest (Rhyperior) @ Assault Vest
Ability: Solid Rock
EVs: 252 HP / 76 Atk / 88 Def / 92 SpD
IVs: 26 Spe
Impish Nature

- Earthquake
- Avalanche / Metal Burst
- Rock Blast / Counter

[SET COMMENTS]

Set Description
=============
This Rhyperior set is designed to defeat Choice Band Galarian Darmanitan, which the Choice Band set struggles to handle. Thanks to Solid Rock and investment in HP and Defense, Rhyperior can survive an Icicle Crash from Choice Band Galarian Darmanitan and KO in return with Rock Wrecker. Earthquake allows Rhyperior to defeat Pokemon like Zeraora, Tapu Koko, and non-Air Ballon Heatran. Avalanche allows Rhyperior to defeat Landorus-T while Rock Blast helps against Entei, Zapdos, and Counter Crustle. Alternatively, Counter also helps against Air Ballon Metagross and Metal Burst is useful against special attackers like Choice Scarf Tapu Fini, as Assault Vest allows Rhyperior to comfrotably take a hit.

EVs
=============
252 HP and 88 Def EVs allow Rhyperior to survive any attack from Choice Band Galarian Darmanitan, while 92 SpD allows Rhyperior to survive an Earth Power from Choice Specs Landorus. The remainder is put into attack to give Rhyperior the best possible chance to OHKO Life Orb Nasty Plot Porygon-Z, which can otherwise set up and KO it with Hyper Beam. Speed IVs are reduced to allow Rhyperior to underspeed Aegislash and OHKO it in blade forme.

Usage Tips
=============
Against Galarian Darmanitan use Rock Wrecker, as the move OHKOes it while Rhyperior survives any hit from any of its sets. Against physical attackers like Air Balloon Metagross, Rhyperior secures the win by using Counter, while Avalanche is the preferred option versus Garchomp and Landorus-T. You should be aware that Custap Berry Aggron is able to turn the tables on Rhyperior by using Metal Burst. Therefore, using a low-damage move versus Aggron like Rock Blast on the first turn, followed by Earthquake on the second, secures the win. Against Choice Scarf Cresselia, you can secure the win by using Metal Burst, if you're running it, on either Trick or any of its attacking moves. If you're not running Metal Burst, leading with Rock Blast gives you the best possible winning odds.

[SET]
Anti-Magnezone (Rhyperior) @ Assault Vest
Ability: Solid Rock
EVs: 152 HP / 84 Atk / 12 Def / 136 SpD / 124 Spe
Careful Nature
- Rock Wrecker
- Earthquake
- Bulldoze
- Avalanche / Counter

[SET COMMENTS]

Set Description
=============
This Rhyperior set is able to reliably defeat strong special attackers like Choice Specs Sylveon and Choice Specs Ninetales. In addition, this set is able to reliably beat any Magnezone variant by leveraging Rhyperior's good special bulk and access to Bulldoze. Both Avalanche and Counter help Rhyperior against Landorus-T. Earthquake and Rock Wrecker are Rhyperior's STAB moves; Earthquake OHKOes foes like Tapu Koko and Rock Wrecker OHKOes Pokemon like Togekiss. Avalanche allows Rhyperior to beat Choice Specs Landorus and Counter is useful against foes like Choice Band Urshifu.

EVs
=============
The HP and Special Defense EVs, in conjunction with Assault Vest, ensure that Rhyperior is not OHKOed by Choice Specs Magnezone and avoids being 2HKOed by Custap Berry variants. 124 Speed investement allows Rhyperior to outspeed Magnezone after one Bulldoze. 12 Def is enough for Rhyperior to survive an Earthquake from Choice Band Landorus-T. The remaining EVs have been invested in attack for the best Life Orb Porygon-Z matchup.

Usage Tips
=============
Against Magnezone, you should always use Bulldoze on the first turn, as it allows Rhyperior to outspeed any variant afterward and secure the matchup. Rhyperior survives a Choice Specs Flash Cannon, ensuring it isn't KOed in return. Be aware that against Sylveon you should use Bulldoze on the first turn, followed by Rock Wrecker on the second turn, as Rock Wrecker on the first turn doesn't secure the KO.

[SET]
Custap Berry (Rhyperior) @ Custap Berry
Ability: Solid Rock
EVs: 252 Atk / 252 Spe
Adamant Nature
IVs: 16 Def / 25 SpD
- Rock Wrecker
- Earthquake
- Swords Dance / Rock Blast
- Endure

[SET COMMENTS]

Set Description
=============
This Rhyperior set defeats faster threats like Galarian Darmanitan, Naganadel, and Choice Specs Porygon-Z with the combination of Endure + Custap Berry. Rock Wrecker OHKOes Pokemon like Togekiss, Choice Specs Zapdos, and Galarian Darmanitan. Earthquake allows Rhyperior to defeat Steel-types like non-Air Ballon Metagross and also Pokemon like Zeraora and Naganadel. Swords Dance allows Rhyperior to KO bulky Pokemon like Celesteela after a boost. Alternatively, Rock Blast is useful against Volcarona running Substitute, Counter Crustle, Stall Entei, and Stall Zapdos.

EVs
=============
The 16 Defense IVs ensure that Rhyperior is always brought into Custap Berry activation range by an Icicle Crash from Choice Scarf Galarian Darmanitan, while the 25 Special Defense IVs serve the same purpose against Uproar from Choice Specs Porygon-Z. Only investment in EVs are Attack and Speed EVs, as there is no point in investing in any of HP, Def, and SpD since Rhyperior needs to take a minimum amount of damage from the moves already mentioned above.

Usage Tips
=============
Against Galarian Darmanitan, use Endure on the first turn to avoid being OHKOed by the Choice Band set and to activate Custap Berry. This also applies to the Choice Scarf set, as Icicle Crash still puts Rhyperior into Custap range. The same strategy works against Choice Specs Sylveon, Choice Specs Kyurem, and Choice Specs Porygon-Z using Hyper Beam or Uproar, since both moves leave Rhyperior within Custap activation range. Against Entei and Crustle, use Rock Blast over Rock Wrecker to defeat them, as Entei can Pressure stall Rhyperior and Crustle runs Counter. Another Pokemon that runs Counter is Chansey, so clicking Swords Dance and then Rock Wrecker secures the win. Swords Dance boost is also useful against Leech Seed Celesteela variants, so using Swords Dance on the first turn followed by Rock Wrecker on the second gives Rhyperior the win.

Set Description

Thanks to its high Attack stat and access to strong physical moves, Rhyperior is an excellent Choice Band user. Earthquake OHKOes foes like non-Air Balloon Metagross, Tapu Koko, Volcarona (You want to click Rock Blast just to avoid some LO/petaya set from subbing into swarm range and OHKOing you, as you mention later. Just remove it here.), and Haxorus. Rock Wrecker OHKOes Pokemon like Togekiss, Galarian Moltres (Commonly runs Endure which makes it feel iffy to click wrecker into), Azumarill, and Sitrus Berry Primarina while it also gives solid odds against most Celesteela sets.

EVs
=============
The Defense EVs allow Rhyperior to survive an Earthquake from Choice Band Landorus-T, allowing it to KO back with either Rock Wrecker or Counter. 164 Speed is enough for Rhyperior to outpace the likes of Steelix and (Max speed Steelix would require 12 more Speed EVs; I'm open to making that change, exercise your own judgment. Bring up Sylveon here?) Sitrus Berry Primarina. The Rrest of the EVs are put in Attack to get the best possible rolls against the likes of (Add another example or remove this phrase) Celesteela.

Usage Tips
=============
When using Choice Band Rhyperior, you should opt to click the super-effective move or (Unnecessary addition if you're already clicking the most damaging move) the most damaging move . Versus Stall Pokémon running Substitute like Entei and Zapdos, Rock Blast is preferred over Rock Wrecker to break through Substitute and avoid PP reduction. (Also mention how Rock Blast is the optimal click vs Volcarona. Mention something about Endure Pokemon and how they can always win if you use Rock Wrecker, give examples to watch out for/possible counterplay. Also list the matchups where you want to use Counter: Garchomp, Lando-T, anything else?)

Set Description
=============
This Rhyperior set is designed to defeat Choice Band Galarian Darmanitan, which the Choice Band set struggles to handle. Thanks to Solid Rock and investment in HP and Defense, Rhyperior can survive an Icicle Crash from Choice Band Galarian Darmanitan and KO in return with Rock Wrecker or Rock Blast (With the 1/3 chance to only get 2 hits and fail to KO, you should never click Rock Blast if you can help it). Avalanche allows Rhyperior to defeat Landorus-T while Rock Blast helps against Entei, Zapdos, and Counter Crustle. Alternatively, Counter also helps against Landorus-T and Metal Burst is useful against special attackers like Landorus-I, as Assault Vest allows Rhyperior to comfrotably take a hit. (I do not think this analysis is currently telling me why I'd want to run Counter or Metal Burst over Avalanche, because the only listed matchups die to Avalanche anyway. I'd also like to see a line explaining what EQ is for.)

EVs
=============
252 HP and 88 Def EVs allow Rhyperior to survive any attack from Choice Band Galarian Darmanitan, while 92 SpD helps allows Rhyperior against the likes of to survive one Earth Power from (Stop saying 'the likes' when you only give 1 example, if there are such likes let's see them. More importantly, this is just an exact calc and you're making it sound like a roll.) Choice Specs Landorus-I (Current slashes suggest you can run Rock blast + Counter, in which case lando-I is not a benchmark that matters. Either change slashes or change this benchmark, I suggest the first). The Rrest of the EVs are invested in Atk to secure the KO on Galarian Darmanitan. (Rock Wrecker deals 200%, you don't need attack EVs for that. Find a better reason to list here.) Speed IVs are reduced to allow Rhyperior to underspeed Aegislash and OHKO it in blade forme.

Usage Tips
=============
Against Galarian Darmanitan, use either Rock Wrecker or Rock Blast (As said before, losing to a 2-hit Rock Blast is bad), as both can OHKO as the move OHKOs it while Rhyperior survives any hit from any of its sets. This set is especially effective when paired with Pokémon that appear to be weak to Galarian Darmanitan, such as Zapdos and Regidrago, to bait the opponent into selecting it and effectively lure it into a losing matchup against Rhyperior. (Teambuilding advice is out of the scope of a mini analysis like this one) Thanks to Assault Vest, Rhyperior is also your answer to strong special attackers like Choice Specs Porygon-Z, Choice Specs Landorus-I, and Naganadel. (This is not usage advice but simply listing matchups. Please use this section to explain when to use Counter or Metal Burst and when to attack, what to click vs Trick Cresselia, how you should play around Aggron's Metal Burst, etc)

Set Description
=============
Thanks to its Sturdy ability, Magnezone can defeat Rhyperior's previous sets. (I think this sentence is overselling Magnezone, which is not a huge part of the metagame anymore. Perhaps focus on the higher special defense of this set, moving the references to specs kyurem and specs sylveon to here) This set, however, is made to reliably beat any Magnezone variant by leveraging Rhyperior's combination of Solid Rock + special Defense EVs investement and the use of Assault Vest + Bulldoze. Both Avalanche and Counter help Rhyperior against Landorus-T. (Explain the relative strengths/weaknesses of Avalanche and Counter, like how one is nice vs LO landorus and the other helps against band urshifu. Also, you still need to give at least a token mention of Rock Wrecker and Earthquake. Bring up how Bulldoze also helps vs Low Kick Aggron?)

EVs
=============
The HP and Special Defense EVs, in conjunction with Assault Vest, ensure that Rhyperior is not OHKOed by Choice Specs Magnezone and avoids being 2HKOed by Custap Berry and Weakness Policy variants. 124 Speed investement allows Rhyperior to outspeed Magnezone after one Bulldoze. (List a physical benchmark. The compendium suggests band landoT, which we're overbulked for, but you can change EVs to 152 HP / 12 Def / 136 SpD, keep Speed the same, and increase attack to 84. This tanks band landoT's earthquake and 2 flash cannons from custap zone.)

Usage Tips
=============
Against Magnezone, you should always use Bulldoze on the first turn, as it allows Rhyperior to outspeed any variant afterward and secure the matchup. Rhyperior survives both a Choice Specs Flash Cannon and +2 Flash Cannon from Weakness Policy sets (Irrelevant: you outspeed after Bulldoze so this set will never hit you), ensuring it isn't KOed in return. This Rhyperior set is also able to beat special attackers that the other two sets can't, such as Choice Specs Sylveon and Choice Specs Kyurem. (Explain that you should use Bulldoze as your opening move vs Sylveon, as raw Rock Wrecker won't kill.)

[STRATEGY COMMENTS]
Other Options
=============
A Custap Berry Rhyperior set running Rock Wrecker, Endure, Swords Dance, and Earthquake, with an EV spread of 252 HP / 76 Atk / 88 Def / 92 SpD and an Adamant nature, can defeat Galarian Darmanitan, Choice Band Landorus-T, and Choice Specs Landorus-I. The combination of Endure + Custap Berry allows Rhyperior to secure matchups such as Naganadel and with Swords Dance Rhyperior defeats Celesteela with a +2 Rock Wrecker. (Make this into a full mini analysis per our discussion on discord)

Band analysis looks really good but the other two could be padded out a little. Redundant information about the matchups of Earthquake/Rock Wrecker doesn't look pretty but is a necessary evil - people shouldn't have to read all analyses of a Pokemon just to understand one of them. Custap Berry is not in smogdex fsr but deserves its own set - I'd pick the under-IVd spread because it's really interesting and very reliable, though maybe bulky custap can be an altspread. That's a lot so take your time for it, implement, and I'll QC again.

EVs
=============
Only investment in EVs are Attack and Speed EVs, as there is no point in investing in any of HP, Def, and SpD since Rhyperior needs to take an exact a minimum amount of damage from the moves already mentioned above.

Usage Tips
=============
The Swords Dance boost is also useful against Leech Seed Celesteela variants, so using Swords Dance on the first turn followed by Rock Wrecker on the second gives Rhyperior the win.

All looks great, implement for qc 1/2.
