This set for Necrozma has a hard time with special walls like AV Reuniclus, Stakataka, and Snorlax among others. While LO Mienshao might seem like a good pick to pair with Necro given its pivoting capability, Guts Heracross hits AV Reuniclus better with Megahorn and still does everything that Shao does albeit with some chip each turn. Nevertheless, Heracross just OHKOes stuff with ease and makes Necrozma's sweeping job much easier!​

Meteor Beam Necrozma can struggle to break through Assault Vest Reuniclus, Milotic, and Stakataka. Zarude can easily swap into reuniclus and Milotic to turn them into set up opportunity. It can beat Stakataka in screens reliaby. Necrozma can lure in and Kill Incineroar for Bulk Up Zarude which is good considering with Parting Shot its about a Counter. It is perfectly viable to click meteor beam Multiple times in some situations which Incineroar will often end up in as its forced to swap in to check Necrozma. you can run Close Combat on this set to deal damage to one of Meteor Beam Necrozma's checks in Incineroar which would be able to check it if Meteor Beam landed on something else.

Regidrago shares many of the same defensive checks as Cloyster being bulky Steel-types like Metagross and Cobalion also Diancie. Regidrago in screens which you would pair these two with is very good at weakening these bulky defensive checks or even just beating them outright. Cloyster can of course weaken Steel-types and Diancie to open the path for Regidrago so it goes both ways. While Regidrago could beat Diancie its not always able to but weakening it could be enough. with Focus energy and in reflect you can beat Diancie as you will guarantee crit through Diamond Storm boosts allowing you to beat it down with Thunder Fang.

Here is a example of Regidrago being able to beat Diancie so people don't say im crazy. This is just an example keep in mind to prove that it can can but weakening it could be enough. https://replay.pokemonshowdown.com/gen8ru-1344352764

The evs of this set help Regidrago deal with Diancie

Froslass is an incredible partner to cloyster as it sets dual screens which allow cloyster to set up more easily. It also sets spikes and most/all of cloyster's checks are spikes weak (eg meta, milo, registeel). The given ev spread lets froslass be as fast as possible, outspeeding notably durant and tying with other froslass so they don't just get a free taunt, forcing u to struggle or switch out. Cloyster also sets up (if full health) on hdb (and band if its locked into not cc or if screens are up, but noone runs band so....) skewda, one of the big threats to screens hos.

Alright, while Cloyster does have 4 SpA and a nature to help Hydro Pump, there's always the risk of it missing and therefore, screwing Cloyster over. This is where Raikou comes in! Raikou either handles or weakens mons that can potentially be a problem for Cloyster like Milotic, bulky Waters, and some Steels like Stakataka and Registeel. After 1 CM, Raikou just becomes an issue to such mons. Extrasensory is used for Roserade and can OHKO it after rocks chip:

+1 252 SpA Raikou Extrasensory vs. 0 HP / 4 SpD Roserade: 230-272 (88.1 - 104.2%) -- guaranteed OHKO after Stealth Rock​

Polteageist is a formidable partner for KINGS ROCK CLOYSTER, as it grants the team a fighting-type coverage immunity and moreover a secondary sweeper, which is able to bust through Ground-types, due to coverage in Giga Drain, so it can comfortable take on Seismitoad and gain a lot of health back. Furthermore, it can help breaking through bulky water-types such as Suicune. It can sweep for KINGS ROCK CLOYSTER in the mid-game to open up doors for it afterwards with weakening or KOing Pokemon, which Cloyster dislikes, such as Seismitoad, Suicune, Cobalion, Metagross, and Klefki. KINGS ROCK CLOYSTER can clean up in the lategame after the opposition is weakened enough and Cloyster. In overall these two forme a great partnership, as they can handle threats offensively and are a threatening core overall with breaking down plenty of checks for each other with their Shell Smash sets.

Crobat has a good typing when combined with rhyperior. Rhyperior also helps crobat out defensively. Crobat can force out pokemon, and get a uturn off to get in rhyperior for free. Crobat also has hazard control in defog so it can also help providing rhyperior in longevity

Zarude acts as another means of electric counterplay, which helps as rhyperior struggles to check them on its own. It acts as a useful flying resist for zarude and is able to get up rocks vs togekiss, one of zarudes biggest enemies. Zarude also resists both grass and water, rhyperiors biggest weaknesses.
