SSRaditz94's 1st UU team Attempt

Hello all, this is my 1st attempt at a UU team, as well as an official RMT, so i will try to be as descriptive as possible while explaining certain rolls in the team. so without further adieu, letss get started!

THE TEAM

560.gif

Scrafty @ Lum Berry
Trait: Moxie
EVs: 248 SDef / 8 Atk / 252 HP
Impish Nature
- Dragon Dance
- Drain Punch
- Ice Punch
- Crunch

Here we have the poke that this team is based around.....Scrafty. I run the standard Dragon Dancing Scrafty set, with a high number of Specially defensive EV's which allows him to stay in on many common Spec.attackers in UU.I use a Lum Berry So i Don't have to worry about Will-O-Wisp or Thunder Wave.Obviously i do run into a major problem whenever Hitmontop or Herracross is sent out but i have an answer for that.

Cofagrigus @ Leftovers
Trait: Mummy
EVs: 4 SDef / 252 Def / 252 HP
Bold Nature
- Pain Split
- Haze
- Will-O-Wisp
- Shadow Ball

Next up we have Physically bulky Cofagrigus. his job is to come in and stop the threats to Scrafty that have been listed above.I use Pain Split for recovery if another poke comes in that has high HP such as Registeel,Swampert, etc. Will-o-wisp is to stop many threats that may come in such as Flygon and haze is to counter set up sweepers like SD Cobalion.Shadow ball is of course there for the obligitory STAB.

Registeel @ Leftovers
Trait: Clear Body
EVs: 252 Def / 4 SDef / 252 HP
Bold Nature
- Stealth Rock
- Thunder Wave
- Seismic Toss
- Explosion

Registeel is my Stealth Rock user and t waver. I personally like Registeel because of the fact that he is a really bulky mixed wall who has excellent utility options. basically set your rocks up, twave a threat such as Mienshao,Scrafty,Herracross, and so on. i carry Seismic toss over Iron head because i am running a bold nature and explosions for when you are about to die and you just want to get off a huge chunk of damage before you go.

Milotic @ Leftovers
Trait: Marvel Scale
EVs: 252 HP / 252 SDef / 4 SAtk
Calm Nature
- Recover
- Toxic
- Surf
- Ice Beam

Milotic is my Toxic Spreading Special wall. I use the Standard set so i really don't have to go over too much. I try to switch into a will-o-wisp to activate Marvel Scale. Toxic is to wear down bulky pokes like dusclops and Swampert, and Ice Beam to take down Flygon. Sorry but theirs not too much to say about her :(

Rotom-Mow @ Leftovers
Trait: Levitate
EVs: 252 SDef / 252 HP / 4 SAtk
Calm Nature
- Will-O-Wisp
- Leaf Storm
- Thunderbolt
- Pain Split

Now we come to my Special Attacker.Rotom-C is a good answer to many things that roam around UU. I run a bulky set rather than Specs although i may change it. i tend to stay in on things that i can do decent damage to with Dual-Stab. However, while good, it is countered by a lot of other UU pokes like Nidoking,Rotom-H,and Scarf Darmanitan. However the other members of my team can switch in to take one of those hits.

Darmanitan @ Choice Scarf
Trait: Sheer Force
EVs: 252 Atk / 252 Spd / 4 HP
Jolly Nature
- Flare Blitz
- Earthquake
- U-turn
- Rock Slide

Finally we have Darmaitan. He is my backup sweeper in case Scrafty faints . Im not going into too much detail on this because you all know how scarfed Darmanitan works. i am however thinking of changing him out for something else. Let me know what you think do

Threat List

059.gif

Arcanine is the top threat to my team. His access to Flare Blitz and Wild Charge, means that i have absolutely nothing to safely switch in on it. i need to address this threat ASAP!

214.gif

Herracross can come in and do massive amounts of damage to my whole team. even Cofagrigus, who is unnafected by Close Combat, Doesnt want to take a Megahorn.

237.gif

Hitmontop is, In my Opinion, a bigger threat than Herracross later in the match. Once Cofagrigus is gone, he can come in, lower Scraftys attack, force a switch, and set up all on my team. But like i said it can only be that way once Cofagrigus faints, so i just have to tread lightly around it.

555.gif

Darmanitan can Destroy my team. Once Milotic is out of the way, and Cofagrigus starts taking damage, there is no way to stop Flare Blitz. I need to find a way to try and stop it.

FORMER TEAM MEMBER(S)

042.gif

I used Eviolite Golbat before i switched to Cofagrigus. He has good bulk on both ends, and access to Super fang allowing him to whittle down walls like Suicune and Registeel. I choose to scrap him due to the amount of switch-ins i was limited to thanks to Stealth Rock. To be honest,if you need a mixed wall/wallbreaker i recommend Golbat, but make sure you have a spinner or it would be pointless.

So that's the team in a nutshell. I want to Personally thank Ashley11 for taking the time to help with the creation of the team/ as well as help testing. This wouldn't be possible without her ^_^. If you guys have suggestions (I Know You Do) Please PLEASE do not hesitate to tell me so i can make the proper changes. Thank you and have a nice day!

This is a nice team. As you noted, you are threatened by Arcanine and Darmanitan. To address this weakness, I'd recommend you swap Registeel for stealth rock Rhyperior.

Here's the set:
464.gif

Rhyperior @ Leftovers
Adamant
Solid Rock
248hp/16atk/244Sdef
-Stealth Rock
-Earthquake
-Rock Blast/Stone Edge
-Dragon Tail
Pretty simple, Stealth Rock is your hazard, and sets all sorts of stuff up for KO. EQ is your main STAB, and Rock Blast kills Zapdos, but you could use Stone Edge for more Power against non-sub Pokemon. Dragon Tail PHazes and takes care of Flygon. Credit to PK Gaming for the set and Pokemon Elite 2000 for the sprite.

EDIT: Welcome to Smogon.

Thank you so much. I will definitely try out Rhyperior. it looks like a better option as it can check/counter more things.

So ive been playing around with this team and i have both-

a)Swapped out Registeel for a Rhyperior that has been described above

b)Changed Rotom-C for Roserade. i like the option to get up toxic spikes/spikes as well as put something to sleep. it has been higly successful and i happy with the replacement.
