Beneath the mask lies a shapeshifter! In STABmons, Ogerpon-C gains access to the STAB moves of all Ogerpon formes, in this case letting it run Pyro Ball. Swords Dance adds to Ogerpon-C's ferocious offenses and makes it nigh-impossible to wall, OHKOing physically defensive Gholdengo and, with a bit of chip damage, Toxapex and Gliscor. Unter der Maske ist ein Gestaltenwandler! Im STABmons-Metagame hat Ogerpon-C Zugang zu allen STAB-Angriffen aller Ogerpon-Formen und nutzt in diesem Fall Pyro Ball. Swords Dance gibt ihm eine furchterregende Angriffserhöhung, die es fast unmöglich macht es aufzuhalten, selbst physisch defensives Gholdengho kassiert einen OHKO und mit ein bisschen Chip-Schaden auch Toxapex und Gliscor. Pyro Ball trifft Stahl-Typen mit denen Ogerpon-C normalweise Probleme hätte, wie z.B. Corviknight, Skarmory und Gholdengo. Trotz des enormen Angriffs ist es aufgrund der fehlenden Initiative und der fehlenden defensiven Möglichkeiten, benötigt es Unterstützung von Toxapex, Landorus-T und Ting-Lu, um schnellere Gegner wie Weavile, Zamazenta und Choice Scarf-Landorus-T abzuwehren. Alternativ kann Ogerpon-C mit Sticky Webs von z.B. Forretress und Scizor gespielt werden, wodurch das bereits erwähnte Zamazenta und langsamere Choice Scarf-Nutzer wie Urshifu-R und Walking Wake besiegt werden können.
