Stall in 5th Gen? NO weather either?

5th Gen Stall

In 4th gen I successfully ran stall teams of all sorts, but then Gen 5 came around with so many new offensive threats I switch to running offensive and balanced teams, but never to any real success, so i decided to go back to stall. After deciding that I needed a start, and Gyarados has always been one of my favorite pokemon, so i decided to go with his defensive variant. Then remembering a solid partner from gen 4 I used with him, Hitmontop was added to the team taking care of gyaras rock weakness and spinning those hazards I hate switching into. Now for a successful stall team I needed to set up hazards, Heatran has become a reliable SR user in Gen 5, and his SpD set has also become very viable in gen 5, he is also a good partner to gyara because gyara resists his water, ground, and fighting weakness's. Then i decided i wanted spikes on my team, originally I had a FS Accelgor, but I was tired of him being a suicide lead and being a pokemon down, so switched to Froslass, i moved on to finding another poke to lay down TS for me, I also needed an electric resist, so i decided on Roserade, I made him a SpD version to soak up the spammed volt switches as much as possible. Finally I needed a cleaner, or a late game sweeper that patched up some of my speed weakness, my first thought was CB Scizor with bullet punch, usable on just about any team, but soon found he lacked the power i needed, surprisingly, but his typing synergized with my team well, so I tried a SD set, but that set was too frail, Then i looked up his bulky set on Smogon, and since then its been history.

She sets up spikes for the and helps prevent hazards from being set up on me with taunt, She is also the dedicated spinblocker which is crucial for stall teams, she also nets useful KO's on their spinners when she is weak with destiny bond.

This guy is a very reliable rapid spinner keeping hazards off of my side of the field, he is an amazing tyrantar counter and catches weak psychic off guard with sucker punch. He also provides intimidate support with gyara.

My toxic spikes user, and counters most rain teams. Roserade also heals my team of annoying status effects with aromatherapy. He can switch into volt switches with ease for gyara.

This guy cleans house for me, he comes in on latios or other special attackers lacking a fire move and sets up for a sweep. Roost keeps him healthy while setting up. He is usually used late game and sweeps with bullet punch.

My stealth rock user and general special wall, this guy tanks special attacks like no other, hydro pump from modest rotom-w only does around 65% damage, but his resistances means he usually isnt taking more than 20% at a time, he is also a phaser to rack up entry damage.

Sleep Talk

My favorite mon and the MVP of this team, rest talk gyara is a monster. His intimidate ability lets him switch into physical hits easliy on the switch in and his natural special bulk means he can takes many special attackers on too. He doesnt mind status's and phases pokes. This guy walls most teams after removing their electric mover user and means that he is safe to finish them off when its taken out.

Threats
My team handles all physical threats well with double intimidate, but special attackers that can switch moves such as expert belt Latios, Alakazam, and offensive heatran. I need good prediction and some luck to overcome theses threats, I need help patching these up

if this thread was publicised prematurally, then will pm me with the intent to finish your op, otherwise ill have to lock this thread as it violates a couple of the most basic rules set in the rmt forum.

Hey,

This is a decent enough team. However there are a few pokemon that will give you serious trouble. The first would be Mixed Tyranitar, capable of smashing through a large portion of your team. I realize you do have hitmontop, however it is unlikely for Tyranitar to stay in and it's unpredictability could kill scizor when it tries to set up. The best thing you could do for this problem is to first off run Lava Plume over Flamethrower on Heatran. You get nearly the same power, trust me you aren't missing any KOs with it and you get a 30% burn rate. The burn will wear down T-tar and scizor can finish it off. Going back to Tyranitar, it can easily kill off your spikes user before you get sufficient hazards up. It's a large threat so try out Lava Plume, since if it's burned it won't KO Froslass.

The Second pokemon that bothers your team are Tyranitar's favorite cohorts, Landorus and Terrakion. Landorus, after it gets a SD can literally 6-0 you. Tyranitar can remove Froslass and then Landorus has a field day at taking pop shots with EQ or Stone Edge. Terrakion runs in a similar vein, spamming with Close Comabt and Stone Edge and going to his buddy Landorus to clean up. This two are used together a lot and unfortunately your scizor can do around 65% with BP while Terakion is probably at full health, and then it procedes to OHKO you with it's STAB. The most simple solution is to run Life Orb on Scizor and give it an Adamant nature. the spread is 248 HP/252 Atk/8 Spe. That spread is a compromise for a stall team, giving you bulk and the ower to defeat both Landorus and Terrakion. Terrakion is KO'd without a SD up while Landorus is KO'd if you get +2, but this only works with a Life Orb so try it out!

In short, Use 248 HP/252 Atk/8 spe and a Life ORb on Scizor, and use Lava Plume over Flamethrower on your Heatran.
