The following equipment is not suitable for those who do not like the stall:
Sableye @ Sableite
Ability: Prankster
EVs: 252 HP / 252 Def / 4 SpA
Bold Nature
- Calm Mind
- Recover
- Dark Pulse
- Will-O-Wisp
Sableye gains some much needed bulk and the Magic Bounce ability when it Mega evolves, which makes it into a defensive behemoth of sorts, deterring attacks and status moves alike while still having only one weakness. Calm Mind allows Mega Sableye to boost its special offense as well as its ability to put up with special hits, and Recover greatly eases setup. Shadow Ball vs Dark Pulse as the attack is dependent on what you want to be able to handle with this thing alone. Shadow Ball gets a neutral hit against Fairy-types and Fighting-types but leaves Mega Sableye totally walled by Normal-types; Dark Pulse, on the other hand, hits all types for at least some damage but is resisted by Fairy-, Fighting-, and other Dark-types. Will-O-Wisp further assists Mega Sableye with its ability to tolerate physical damage, and is also useful for wearing down troublesome foes. Sableye can wait before Mega Evolving if having a priority Will-O-Wisp might be ideal in a match.
Quagsire @ Leftovers
Ability: Unaware
EVs: 252 HP / 252 Def / 4 SpD
Relaxed Nature
- Scald
- Earthquake
- Recover
- Toxic
Quagsire's standard set aims to take advantage of its physical walling capabilities. Scald is an excellent move, and Quagsire has no trouble using it to burn the physical attackers it walls, severely crippling them. Earthquake functions as a STAB move to dent Pokemon such as Mega Charizard X, Tentacruel, and Heatran. Recover is mandatory to heal off the damage from the opponents it walls; without it, Quagsire would not be able to effectively take foes on. Finally, Toxic is a great move to cripple walls and other defensive Pokemon such as Hippowdon and Clefable. Encore can be used to lock an opponent into a move, giving a teammate a free setup opportunity, such as against a Gyarados's Substitute, a Latias's Defog, or a Garchomp's Earthquake. Ice Beam is Quagsire's hardest hitting option against Pokemon that are 4x weak to Ice-type attacks, such as Salamence, Noivern, and Landorus-T, while Stockpile is a viable option to boost Quagsire's defenses even further, aiding it even more in its walling capabilities.
Chansey @ Eviolite
Ability: Natural Cure
EVs: 4 HP / 252 Def / 252 SpD
Bold Nature
- Soft-Boiled
- Heal Bell
- Stealth Rock/Toxic
- Seismic Toss
Due to Chansey's large support movepool, Chansey has many different options at her disposal. Soft-Boiled gives Chansey a reliable means of recovery, allowing her to stay healthy throughout the match. Heal Bell is the move of choice for the second slot, as it allows Chansey to heal crippling status effects on her teammates. Stealth Rock is another option that Chansey can use if none of her other teammates are able to use the move. However, it is worth noting that losing the ability to use Heal Bell means that Chansey can no longer heal status effects for her teammates. Toxic is chosen for the third slot due to its ability to put both setup sweepers and walls on a timer. Thunder Wave is another option that Chansey has access to. Though it immediately shuts down faster boosting sweepers, it also leaves Chansey unable to gets past other, bulkier Pokemon. Stealth Rock is once again an option in the third slot, but it must be noted that Chansey is especially vulnerable to setup sweepers if it decides to go without a status move, especially those with recovery. Finally, Seismic Toss is the move of choice in the last spot due to its ability to deal reliable damage to the opponent.
Zapdos @ Leftovers
Ability: Pressure
EVs: 248 HP / 176 Def / 68 SpA / 16 Spe
Bold Nature
- Thunderbolt/Volt Switch
- Roost
- Defog/HP Ice
- Heat Wave/Toxic
Thunderbolt is Zapdos's best STAB option, packing respectable power thanks to its base 125 Special Attack. Roost helps keep Zapdos alive and mitigates its weakness to Stealth Rock. Defog gives Zapdos the excellent utility of keeping entry hazards off of the field. However, for teams already running Mega Sableye or a spinner, Hidden Power Ice can be run to hit Garchomp, Landorus, Landorus-T, and Gliscor, all of which are Pokemon that it wants to check. Heat Wave is the best option in the last slot to hit Steel-types like Scizor, Bisharp, Excadrill, and Ferrothorn very hard, although Toxic can also be effective as a method of wearing down common switch-ins like Mega Altaria, Landorus-T, and Tyranitar while allowing Zapdos to check Mega Slowbro.
Slowbro @ Leftovers
Ability: Regenerator
EVs: 252 HP / 232 Def / 24 SpD
Bold Nature
- Scald
- Fire Blast/Ice Beam/Psyshock
- Thunder Wave/Toxic
- Slack Off
Scald is the move Slowbro will be using most of the time. Due to its 30% burn rate, it often provides extra insurance against physical attackers, as well as chip damage against other threats. In the next two slots, any combination of the listed moves can work. Fire Blast is mainly for Ferrothorn and Scizor, 2HKOing the former and OHKOing offensive variants of the latter. Ice Beam hits Dragon-types and a few Grass-types super effectively, and it also allows Slowbro to defeat specially defensive Gliscor lacking Toxic. Psyshock is a secondary STAB move that hits Fighting- and Poison-types such as Keldeo, Conkeldurr, Gengar, and Amoonguss super effectively, though Psychic is also an option to hit physically bulky foes such as defensive Mega Venusaur harder. Both of these moves will break Gyarados's Substitute in one hit, but only Psychic will consistently break Kyurem-B's Substitute. Toxic gives Slowbro the ability to put a timer on its opponents and potentially stall them out with Slack Off, which is key against Mega Charizard X in particular. Thunder Wave, on the other hand, incapacitates Pokemon that rely on their Speed, although anything with at least 385 Speed will still outspeed Slowbro when paralyzed. Slack Off rounds out the set by giving Slowbro a form of reliable recovery that does not force it to switch out. Grass Knot is another option to break normal and Mega Gyarados's Substitutes.
Sylveon @ Leftovers
Ability: Pixilate
EVs: 252 HP / 220 Def / 36 SpD
Bold Nature
- Wish
- Heal Bell/Toxic
- Protect
- Hyper Voice
Wish allows Sylveon to reliably heal itself and its teammates. Heal Bell is for removing status problems from its team. Alternatively, Toxic is a great move on any defensive Pokemon, putting a timer on opposing defensive Pokemon and setup sweepers. Protect is crucial in allowing Sylveon to reliably heal itself with Wish, provide a few extra HP of Leftovers recovery, and stall with Toxic if it is running it. Even though Sylveon's Special Attack is uninvested, a Pixilate-boosted Hyper Voice will still do serious damage to several Pokemon and stops Sylveon from being complete Taunt bait.
