* Clear Amulet helps Zapdos by blocking moves that lower Special Defense like Fake Tears from Sylveon, Acid Spray from Hisuian Goodra and Icy Wind from Primarina.
* This EV spread allows Zapdos to survive Timid Choice Specs Spectrier's Hyper Beam and grants good chances of surviving Adamant Urshifu-R's Choice Band Surging Strikes.
* Zapdos should always Eerie Impulse on the first turn against Volcanion, since Choice Scarf Volcanion can outspeed and 2HKO Zapdos if it uses Thunderbolt.
