Stall!

Hey, this is my OU stall team. I love Pokemon, but haven't played competitively before, so anyway, to business with my first ever team!!!
Firstly, I knew I wanted an Azelf but it had to be able to help the team, so...

Azelf @ Light Clay
Trait: Levitate
EVs: 252 HP / 4 SAtk / 252 Spd
Timid Nature (+Spd, -Atk)
- Reflect
- Light Screen
- U-turn
- Psychic

Quite unusual as you'd expect stealth rocks from Azelf, but I find this set to be very effective. Reflect against Hippowdon, Tyranitar and other physical attackers and light screen versus Espeon, Politoed, and other special attackers.

Next, I needed, and I mean needed a 'wisper' as I like to call them, and no one is better at will-o-wisp than prankster Sableye...

Sableye (M) @ Leftovers
Trait: Prankster
EVs: 236 HP / 120 Def / 136 SDef / 16 Spd
Hardy Nature
- Will-O-Wisp
- Taunt
- Recover
- Foul Play

The standard prankster set. Taunt destroys Blissey and set-up sweepers, whilst will-o-wisp ruins Conkelldur and Terrakion. Recover is a given and foul play destroys Salamance and Dragonite. I even killed Mandibuzz with it once.

I definitely needed a special sweeper so here comes Blissey (how original)

Blissey (F) @ Leftovers
Trait: Natural Cure
EVs: 252 HP / 252 SDef / 4 Spd
Calm Nature (+SDef, -Atk)
- Aromatherapy
- Softboiled
- Seismic Toss
- Toxic

Again the standard set apart from my abandoning of the defense stat completely, if worst comes to worst, I can switch to my Tangrowth. Toxic kills - Seismic toss crushes - softboiled heals, and aromatherapy restores status.

Again, an unoriginal yet highly effective Pokemon was added to my team:

Ferrothorn (M) @ Leftovers
Trait: Iron Barbs
EVs: 252 HP / 148 Def / 108 SDef
Relaxed Nature (+Def, -Spd)
- Leech Seed
- Protect
- Power Whip
- Gyro Ball

Do I really need to explain this? :P Protect every other turn, Gyro Ball fast attackers, Power whip Hippowdon and water-types, and leech seed first unless hurt by spikes. (unless against a set-up 'er')

My favourite pokemon of all time:

Tangrowth (M) @ Leftovers
Trait: Regenerator
EVs: 252 HP / 252 Def / 4 SAtk
Bold Nature (+Def, -Atk)
- Power Whip
- Hidden Power [Fire]
- Leech Seed
- Sleep Powder

1) Sleep
2) Seed
3) KILL!!!!
I love Tangrowth, and not much can absorb Power whip and HP Fire. Slays Blissey if I pretend to only have special attacks, and the same with Milotic.

Finally..

Gyarados (M) @ Leftovers
Trait: Intimidate
EVs: 156 HP / 72 Atk / 96 Def / 184 Spd
Adamant Nature (+Atk, -SAtk)
- Dragon Dance
- Taunt
- Waterfall
- Stone Edge

Easily absorbs the fire attacks that Tangrowth and Ferrothorn attract, and can do some serious damage. I love taunt on this set as it cripples stallers, and common set-up sweepers.

I do lack, however, a phaser, which can at times, although not commonly because of taunt, be detrimental to my performance. Anyway, any advice is appreciated. Thanks in advance!!!

Hi, welcome to Smogon. There are a few threads you should read before making an RMT as a newcomer. This one gives you all you need to know about what you need to include in an rmt. Your descriptions are lacking, your team lacks synergy, and you have to put more effort into your presentation. Check out the RMT archive to see the kind of descriptions we are looking for. Since you haven't played competitive Pokemon before, you should definitely lurk a bit more and test out your teams on the Pokemon Online simulator before attempting to make an RMT again. PM me any changes you make to your team and I'll unlock this. Thanks!
