Stallin' and Brawlin'

Hi my name is Brady. This is my first RMT so I apologize if its not well made, but Ill try my best to make it fun to rate and help. ive been using this team for a little while and i cant seem to get past the mid 1300's on shoddy, so i decided to come here for help. :)

Ill start with my lead, Jirachi.

Jirochi @ Choice Scarf
Ability: Serene Grace
EVs: 252 Attack/ 252 Speed/ 4 Health
Jolly nature (+ Speed, - Special Attack)
- Iron Head
- U-Turn
- Fire punch
- Trick

Jirachi is a boss. enough said. I realize that he is usually used as an offensive lead but I find that he works quite well with my stall styled team as an anti-lead. Iron head is great with serene grace causing a flinch 60 percent of the time, with the added bonus of being a good stab move. U-Turn is for scouting and dealling some damage while i swich. Fire punch is for Skarm, Forry, scizor, ect. Trick is to give that Choice Scarf to someone who doesnt want it, like pretty much any wall.

Next up is swampert.

Swampert @ Leftovers
Ability: Torrent
EVs:252 Health/ 252 Defence/ 4 Attack
Relaxed nature (+ Defense, - Speed)
- Stealth Rock
- Ice Beam
- Earthquake
- Protect

Swampert makes great lead synergy with jirachi. he covers all the leads that have an upper hand on jirachi, and also works very well as a wall, and is my salamence swich in which works unless he used draco meteor. Stealth Rock is fairly obvious, Earthquake is for stab. ice beam is for swich-ins expecting an earthquake and for salamence because a +1 life orb outrage will never OHKO and ice beam will always OHKO after Stealth Rock. Lastly Protect is to ease prediction, scout for explosion, and regain some leftovers health all at the same time.

Third is my phazer, and spiker, Skarmory!

Skarmory @ leftovers
Ability: Keen Eye
EVs:252 Health / 252 Special defence / 4 Defence
Impish nature (+ Defense, - Special Attack)
- Spikes
- Roost
- Whirlwind
- Brave Bird

Skarmory, like jirachi, is a total boss. it takes physical hits like their nothing, and with my EV set can take a special attack or two also. That might seem to be useless but it has helped me a lot. the set is pretty self explainitory. spikes... well it lays down spikes, roost for health, whirlwind when i predict a swich or if i dont like the position im in, and brave bird is for an attack.

Next up is skarmory's walling partner, the pokemon everybody loves to hate, Blissey!

blissey_by_SailorClef.jpg

Blissey @ Leftovers
Ability: Natural Cure
EVs:252 Health/ 252 Defence/ 4 Special Attack
-Wish
-Protect
-Seismic Toss
-Flamethrower

Blissey is almost too good at what she does. There is no better staller, period! Wish is for healing both her and her team mates, protect is to make sure wish recovers her, and can also be used to help with prediction against choice users or explosion. Seismic Toss is to hit pokemon for reasonable damage. Flamethrower is to hit gengar, Forry, and scizor on the swich, and some others. I like to keep flamethrower hidden untill the perfect opportunity arises.

Next up is my spinner and a fast powerfull special attacker, Starmie.

Starmie @ leftovers
Ability: Natural Cure
EVs: 252 Health/ 216 speed/ 20 defence/ 20 special defence
-Surf
-Thunderbolt
-Recover
-Rapid Spin

Starmie works great with the rest of my team. I use her to swich into opposing Skarmory, Infernape, non scarfed Heatran, and many other pokemon. The EVs are to outspeed Infernape and Gengar and be as bulky as possible at the same time. Surf hits everything other than blissey and water types hard, and Thunderbolt is for the water types. Recover heals me, and Rapid Spin spins rapidly.

Last but not least, my spin blocker, Rotom... S?
Fan%20Rotom.png

Rotom-S @ Choice Specs
Ability: Levitate
EVs: 252 Speed/ 252 Special Attack/ 4 Health
- Thunderbolt
- Shadow Ball
- Air Slash
- Trick

Yes, thats right, Rotom-S. He is surprisingly very effective at what he does. people dont know what to expect and predict Air Slash and lose a lot of health on the swich when i use Thunderbolt. Even once the opponent knows what he's doing, he is still hard as hell to kill. the set is pretty simple, Thunderbolt and Shadow ball are for STAB, and Air Slash is the reason i chose this rotom, it 2HKOs Machamp (with a flinch chance), and OHKOs breloom, two pokemon who give the rest of my team trouble, and trick can potentially put a counter out of commision. i used to use a Rotom-H, but I couldnt stop those two threats, so I changed to this Rotom.

Thank you for your help in making my team better, im open to all sugestions, and will change the team if i agree with what you say. :)

Replace starmie for tentacruel for toxic spikes while maintaining a spinner with similar typing.
I actually started out with a Tentacruel when i first made this team but changed to starmie because i found that tentacruel died to often because of no recovery other than wish, which is pretty obvious to predict. I also prefer starmie becuause gengar cant swich in as easily, and the attack power has proved necessary to hit skarmory harder. But if enough people give the same sugestion I'll try Tentacruel again. thanks for the help any way. :)

Jirachi- this lead is very interesting, i'm not so sure about pure offense EVs on it, it could perhaps be a bit more defensive for stall, but if it works, keep it. I'm liking the aspects of the set, it would be interesting to see how it works
Swampert- standard stalling set, I have seen so many of them, they work really, really, well. No problems there
Skarmory- also looks standard, the usual wall that i see, no real problems
Blissey- I personally dislike the use of flamethrower but i understand that it prevents ghost walling you and such. Maybe lose protect for a status move like thunder wave or toxic, other than that it's good
Starmie- standard spin set with nice coverage plus a heal move, works well, EVs are a bit everywhere but i'm sure they are needed, or they wouldn't be, but you could perhaps lose the defending ones, unless you are looking at something in particular
Rotom- Great to see people using S, H is the most common but I always use S, you have done, exactly what i do except i use a scraf on it, I love it and it does so well for me

Overall your team seems to cover each other really well. Although i don't really think that the title stalling really lives up to it's name, although i suppose they can't ALL be defensive. Still a very good team, i wish you good luck with it and hope that i have helped you

what natures are blissey, starmie, and rotom? for rotom, i would suggest timid if its not already, as you will want to outspeed adamant sd lucario, a major threat to this team.

i don't think any pokemon really needs a fix, but i would swap jirachi's place on the team with swampert. even if you u-turn out of stuff like azelf, heatran, etc you just aren't threatening them at all - might as well save jirachi for later and give it a more threatening and universal set of iron head/ice punch/thunderpunch/u-turn - giving you a much safer answer to dd lo gyarados, dd lo mence (swampert will have to answer more than that), etc. steel-types seem to be handled well already by rotom, starmie, and your flamethrower blissey. blissey could be a thorn to your team, but your rotom has trick so its always a good last resort, as is iron head rachi anyway. swampert's not the "best" lead, but it should get you stealth rock up and still have use for later in the game against leads such as non hp grass tran, other swampert, non taunt azelf, etc.

not much other than this, seems like a solid standard stall team with a few fun sets thrown in like specs rotom (and although it isnt my favorite, at least it can work in this sort of team).

Jirachi beats Azelf compleatly 60% of the time with Iron Head, and when it doesn't flinch it only has to worry about fire blast, which still isnt a OHKO. The reason i chose him as the lead over swampert is he only has trouble with Heatran, Infernape, and Gliscor, Swampert, and metagross, where swampert has trouble with anyting using trick, sleep, or grass attacks, which is more comonly used than the five pokemon Jirachi has trouble with, and Jirachi can switch out using U-Turn to a pokemon that can better handle the situation im in. as for blissey, Skarmory switches in just fine only taking about 30% from Flamethrower, and can roost of the damage while setting up spikes.
Thanks for the Advice though, Ill try swiching the leads and if i like it enough ill keep it and edit the post.
