Hello forum members, I am 4G3NCgmaryan on Pokemon Showdown and I have played Clefable Stall since Late Generation 5, but not on this account. I am currently in the mid-1500s and is literally hated by anyone who I play against (don't matter if I win or lose). Any creative feedback that helps me will be appreciated and negative feedback will also be considered to an extent.
With the plethora of Pokémon that were ameliorated with the sprouting of toxic via Home, many people were concerned about how the metagame would turn and twist and how unhealthy it would become. Nonetheless, my perception of the Home update was more perplexing as I was able to form speculation of how the tables would turn for so many Pokémon. With the immediate banning of Kyurem-B and Melmetal, the players would be confused and spam the actual living fuck out of toxic. And how exactly do you beat toxic spam? WIth toxic spam. I have concocted a team that completely shits on balance and offense teams using a TOXIC method (pun intended).
Without any further ado, let's get into the team.

So, that's that. I do not hold any responsibility for the toxicity that this team causes. Although I created the team, its Pokémon's fault for making such disgusting mons.

Toxapex @ Black Sludge
Ability: Regenerator
EVs: 252 HP / 252 Def / 4 SpD
Bold Nature
IVs: 0 Atk
- Haze
- Scald
- Toxic
- Recover
Toxapex happens to be the very word enters through your mind when you hear the word stall. Max Defense and HP are for soaking up those hits from Corviknight, Dracovish, Cloyster, Cinderace, Conkeldurr, and nearly the entire abundance of OU's physical attackers. It also can soak up many special hits due to its massive special defense stat. Haze is for preventing and removing setup from various Pokémon, Scald is there for burning steel types (such as Corviknight or Bisharp) and chipping them away. Toxic is Pex's main method of harming its enemies. Toxic stops all sorts of Pokémon from staying on the battlefield that threatens Pex's presence. Recover along with Regenerator makes it impossible to defeat Toxapex.
Clefable @ Leftovers
Ability: Unaware
EVs: 252 HP / 252 Def / 4 SpD
Bold Nature
IVs: 0 Atk
- Heal Bell
- Moonblast
- Wish
- Protect
Ahh, Clefable. The most clichè of all supports and a staple in stall teams with its decent bulk and Unaware ability. With Max Defense and HP, this critter can survive +6 moves from literally any Pokémon. I have opted for Max Defense as this was the Unaware set that was run in the past, which allowed Clefable to survive super-effective hits and toxic stall in return. However, Heal Bell is reinstated for Toxic as there are more members in the party with Toxic. Due to the Toxic meta, many players are using Toxic like there is no tomorrow. But with Cleric Clefable, there attempts to status this team is futile. It also provides Wish support for Pokémon in the team that does not have a way of recovery or is too low in health to recover health by themselves due to enemy fire. Protect is to gain all HP back from wish without taking major damage and also to scout moves from Choice Pokémon such as Specs Dragapult.
Mandibuzz (F) @ Heavy-Duty Boots
Ability: Overcoat
EVs: 252 HP / 4 Def / 252 SpD
Careful Nature
- Knock Off
- Roost
- U-turn
- Defog
Mandibuzz happens to have many positive features about it that help the team. It is a ghost-resist defogger that can also knock off items that make Pokémon threats. Max Special Defense and HP Investment allow Mandibuzz to tank hits from Specs Dragapult, and deal massive amounts of damage in return by using Knock Off. Knock Off allows so many Pokémon to become useless such as Seismitoad, Dragapult, Toxapex. Roost is essential for longevity and helps Mandibuzz stay alive against threatening Pokémon. U-turn is good for pivoting around, especially when facing a Corviknight. Defog is to remove hazards and screens and is an essential move for any team as it removes the drawback of switching around.
Jirachi @ Choice Scarf
Ability: Serene Grace
EVs: 252 Atk / 4 SpD / 252 Spe
Jolly Nature
- Iron Head
- Healing Wish
- Fire Punch
- U-turn
"Choice Scarf Jirachi has a 60% chance to flinch the target, as long as it is faster"Jirachi is the team's haxmon that scares off a variety of Pokémon, mainly fairies. Jirachi can take care of Clefable with one flinch. It can take down reasonably bulky Pokémon that lack recovery by pivoting around with U-turn and later finishing it off by the use of Iron Head or Fire Punch. Fire Punch also allows Jirachi to deal tremendous amounts of damage to Ferrothorn, Corviknight, Excadrill, Rotom Mow and other Jirachi. Healing Wish is to fully heal up an ally if Jirachi's use has been diminished towards the endgame. U-turn provides a pivoting move that hurts Dark types and it also allows for a safer switch.
Hippowdon @ Leftovers
Ability: Sand Stream
EVs: 252 HP / 4 Atk / 20 Def / 232 SpD
Careful Nature
- Slack Off
- Earthquake
- Stealth Rock
- Toxic
Hippowdon is an excellent choice for a Pokémon in this team as it works well with Mandibuzz, Jirachi and Clefable defensively. The Special Defense Investment allows Hippodown to eat scalds from Pex, Toad and various other Pokémon that would otherwise threaten a switch. Slack Off is essential as it provides recovery for Hippowdon alongside Leftovers. Earthquake hits a lot of Pokémon in the OU metagame and allows for consistent damage. Stealth Rock is for punishing switches and is an integral part of any Pokémon team. Toxic apace with Sandstorm chips down Pokémon down. Hippowdown is also an electric immunity for the team, which is amazing as Mandibuzz struggles with moves such as Thunderbolt or Bolt Beak.
Rotom-Heat @ Heavy-Duty Boots
Ability: Levitate
EVs: 64 HP / 100 Def / 188 SpA / 156 SpD
Bold Nature
IVs: 0 Atk
- Pain Split
- Overheat
- Toxic
- Volt Switch
People say that Rotom-H dethroned Rotom-W as best Rotom appliance recently and I completely agree with this statement (or should I say FACT). Rotom-H's Overheat does mad percentages to the likes of basically any steel type, especially Corviknight and Ferrothorn. The EV spread has lower HP so that Pain Split recovers more HP for Rotom and deals more damage for higher HP Pokémon such as Corviknight, Mandibuzz, and Excadrills on a switch. The Defense and Special Defense investment allows Rotom to eat neutral and super-effective moves to an extent. The higher Special Attack allows Rotom to cook neutral Pokémon and conflagrate steels. Toxic allows Rotom-H to punish Seismitoad on the switch or Sesimitoad setting up rocks. Volt Switch allows Rotom-H to escape from a sticky situation from a Pokémon that cannot be harmed by Rotom.
So, that's that. I do not hold any responsibility for the toxicity that this team causes. Although I created the team, its Pokémon's fault for making such disgusting mons.
