There isn't much changes to report - other than of course, people trying out new things in Standard. most things in Standard has remained static - as shown by the lack of change in usage between the month of July and the month of August.

For some odd reason, the Dual Screen Deoxys Strategy seems to be rare - which is quite surprising considering many people considered it broken - sending it back to the list of suspects where it belongs.

Things are definitely more ready to explode, especially against threats like Garchomp and Gyarados. Metagross and Bronzongs will explode at the first chance - attempting to stop these two monsters from sweeping. By luring Metagross and bronzong to explode - one can easily set up a Deoxys E sweep - making Deoxys E ever more useful in this metagame.

Yet that doesn't mean that Deoxys E gets a free rampage through the metagame. Many Metagross are now armed with Lum Berry - a perfect counter to Gengar and Deoxys alike armed with Pursuit and Bullet Punch.

The effects of experimentations in Rain Dance also spilled over to Standard. Many people will lead with Electrodes, attempting to set up rain. This effectively gives a lot of trouble to pure offense teams who must stall out the rain before attempting a counter attack - considering in Rain, Kabutops even outspeeds Deoxys E.

The sheer number of Suicide leads force people to find new ways to deal with it - whether it be by Deoxys E, who boasts the fastest Taunt in the game, or Fake Out Infernape, or even Tyranitar.

Don't have much to contribute but I agree with everything Tangerine said. Hail teams are also rare for some reason (possibly due to the lack of innovation possible when building one..? but that doesn't have anything to do with the metagame).
