This is my fist RMT :D I am hoping for some good feedback so I can improve.
This team is pretty standard. There isn't anything unusual about it. Even so, I sure that there are things that could be improved.
Hippowdon @ Leftovers
Ability: Sandstream
EVs: 252 hp, 152 def, 104 SpD
Nature: Impish
- Stealth Rocks
- Earthquake
- Slack Off
- Roar/Ice Fang
This is a pretty standard Hippowdon lead. Able to take a hit while comfortably setting up SR. Not sure if I want Roar for scouting out the opponent's team or Ice Fang for taking out annoying Ice weak stallers.
Excadrill @ Balloon/Life Orb
Ability: Sand Rush
EVs: 252 Atk, 252 Spe, 4 Hp
Nature: Adamant
- Swords Dance
- Earthquake
- Rock Slide/Stone Edge
- X-Scissor
Excadrill pairs well with Hippowdon. Hippowdon's Sandstream causes the sandstorm which doubles Excadrill's speed. After a Swords Dance, he becomes a very effective sweeper. I'm not sure if I should use Life Orb or Balloon, or Rock Slide or Stone Edge.
Reuniclus @ Life Orb
Ability: Magic Guard
EVs: 252 hp, 252 SAtk, 4 Def
IVs: 0 Spd
Nature: Quiet
- Trick Room
- Psychic
- Focus Blast
- Recover/Shadow Ball
Reuniclus, my personal favourite pokemon. How could you not love this blob bear thing? Anyways, it will function as a TR sweeper. Minimum Speed possible. It probably wouldn't outrun many things at max speed anyways. I think I want Psychic over Psyshock purely for the extra power. I'm not sure if I want Recover for my last move to improve survivability, or have Shadow Ball for an extra coverage move.
Chandelure @ Choice Specs
Ability: Shadow Tag
EVs: 252 SAtk, 252 Spd, 4 Hp
Nature: Modest
- Fire Blast
- Shadow Ball
- Energy Ball
- Overheat
This is meant to be a trapper killer pokemon. It will switch in to a pokemon that it is strong against, trap it and proceed to kill it. I figure the Choice Specs will be useful because even though I will be locked into a move, the enemy will likely be weak against the move that I pick and will be unable to switch out. Not sure if I should put EVs in Spd or HP.
Serperior @ Choice Specs or Life Orb
Ability: Contrary
EVs: 252 SAtk, 252 Spd, 4 Hp
Nature: Timid
- Leaf Storm
- Glare
- Safeguard
- Leech Seed
This pokemon really has an atrocious movepool. But Contrary and Leaf Storm are so attractive. I also thought he would be a good counter to water types, which my team might have trouble with. I was thinking that Choice Specs would be good to boost Leaf Storm, considering there aren't any other good attacking moves that Serperior can use anyways, but Life Orb could be handy as well so that he can function as a pseudo sweeper/utility pokemon. Suggestions for this guy are very welcome.
Salamence @ Life Orb
Ability: Intimidate
EVs: 252 Atk, 252 Spe, 4 Hp
Nature: Adamant
- Dragon Dance
- Outrage
- Fire Blast/Stone Edge
- Earthquake
Pretty much your standard DD Salamence. What team is complete without a dragon type? Anyways, he has DD and plenty of coverage moves.
Well that's it. This is my first RMT. I worked pretty hard on it, so feedback would be greatly appreciated.
