SM Ubers Sticky and Afraid

Hello, everyone. This is a team I built when SM had just hit shelves, thus the lack of many new pokemon. I wanted to build something that worked with Lunala, and I played around with a few ideas before settling on this horrifying semi-stall team you see here.

The strategy for this team is to weaken the other team with entry hazards, chip damage, and status, then come in for a sweep with W-Kyurem. Yet, the team also has the flexibility to utilize different strategies if a key Pokémon goes down.

Lunala @ Leftovers
Ability: Shadow Shield
EVs: 252 SpA / 4 SpD / 252 Spe Timid Nature
IVs: 0 Atk
- Moongeist Beam
- Roost
- Moonblast
- Psyshock

The Lugia that you never knew you wanted. This Pokémon is my safest switch Pokémon, able to switch into most attacks and deal damage to the offender. It also counters P-Don in most of its forms. Sweeper EVs, due to Lunala's natural bulk, and Psyshock for killing anything that invests in Special Defense. I run Moonblast because it has the potential to kill many of Lunala's counters, i.e. Yveltal.

Kyurem-White @ Choice Scarf Ability: Turboblaze
EVs: 52 Def / 204 SpA / 252 Spe Timid Nature
IVs: 0 Atk
- Draco Meteor
- Ice Beam
- Fusion Flare
- Flash Cannon
White Kyurem is one of the most powerful Uber Pokémon out there. Or, would be, if not for the atrocious speed Stat. Remedy this with a Choice Scarf, maximum investment into speed, add lots of coverage, and you have one of the most versatile wall breakers/sweepers/annoying Speed Boost bug killers I have ever seen. Slight investment into defense so it can tank some hits from aggressive physical attackers such as Extreme killer Arceus and Genesect.

Smeargle @ Focus Sash
Ability: Technician
EVs: 252 HP / 4 Def / 252 Spe
Timid Nature
IVs: 0 Atk
- Spore
- Sticky Web
- Stealth Rock
- Destiny Bond
My suicide lead into most games. And the reason why I win most of my games. Throwing down Sticky Web down at the beginning of the game ensures that my slow as hell Pokémon can kill (or stall) things without much resistance. Destiny Bond rarely ever works, but when it does it really counts, adding value to the suicidal nature of this Pokémon.

Sableye @ Sablenite
Ability: Prankster
EVs: 252 HP / 8 Def / 248 SpD
Calm Nature
IVs: 0 Atk
- Recover
- Foul Play
- Taunt
- Will-O-Wisp
My only counter to opposing statusers and entry hazard setups. Countering Ghost Arceus, Yveltal, and tanking hits that most of my team cannot withstand, Sableye also revenge kills with Foul Play. Will-O-Wisp to compensate for lack of extreme defensive tanks, and I complement this by using Prankster, for a possible pre-evo burn. He is very hard to get out on the field though, and often gets OHKO'd before he can do anything significant.

Ditto) @ Choice Scarf
Ability: Imposter
EVs: 248 HP / 252 Def / 8 SpD
Bold Nature IVs: 0 Atk
- Transform
Standard Ditto; nothing much to see here. He massacres Extreme killers, revenge kills most sweepers nicely, destroys Stat boosters of any kind, and counters P-Don, P-Ogre, Mega Mewtwo, Dragon types, Mega Salamence, etc. Specifically, this Pokémon counters Xerneas, as my team is very weak to Fairy types.

Genesect @ Shock Drive
Ability: Download
EVs: 132 Atk / 124 SpA / 252 Spe Hasty Nature
- Techno Blast
- U-turn
- Ice Beam
- Iron Head
This Pokémon rounds out my team, covering most of the weaknesses not covered, in addition to being a reliable U-Turn user. He runs mixed stats due to both the unreliability of Genesect's movepool and Download. Iron Head is run as opposed to Flash Cannon, for the chance of a valuable flinch. Ice Beam hits most of the metagame neutrally, and chips Lugia somewhat efficiently, but only if with a Download special attack boost. Techno Blast is the move that grants Genesect a major place on my team, as with the Shock Drive, Genesect can land unexpected Electric Blasts on P-Kyogres and Ho-Ohs, which would hurt my team otherwise.

Overall, it's an alright team. Pretty interesting too, but I think it's worth pointing out that you have 2 fire weaknesses, and you have nothing to check Fire types, except Ditto in some cases. I'd recommend switching out Kyurem-W with Landorus, as it provides a check for Fire types and gives you a good stallbreaker.

Hello, TyphlUpgrade

I like your team, it looks solid and great. I usually play offensive, so I love sticky-based strategy like this one. Pressing your opponent before attacking is always an advantage. It seems strange to me to find such a device without PDon or POgre. Luckily for threats like Xerneas accounts with Ditto. You also have Genesect, it is another option whenever you do not do Geomancy. Well, in short, not bad, but maybe with some help you can take better advantage of everything. Based on what you are carrying, I will try to help in whatever I can.

· Lunala -> That set you are wearing is not all bad, but analyzing the idea of the team I think it would be best to do it Specs / Psychium Z + CM. You can try both and what goes best you leave inside. These two versions can open holes on the opponent with the necessary help. I would even fit with Magic Coat for other Sticky, for example.

· Smeargle -> It's a bad thing, I think you wanted to innovate by adding small details. I think you should replace Destiny Bond with Nuzzle. It is a useful move to cancel faster pokémon or users like Taunt Deox-S among others. Another viable option might be to replace Spore with Rapid Spin, so you can free yourself from the hazzards. You have a Spin Block like Lunala.

· Sableye -> For me, the mega slot is very important. Relying on MSableye in a game style like this I do not think it goes very well, it's a more balanced style pokémon that wants to have more control / good match up. If you want to try, you could replace it with MLucario. I consider it the best mega to take advantage of this strategy thanks to its high physical attack and ability. Nature depends, but I think in this case Adamant about Jolly.
