Still Needs More Sand...

I just threw this crazzy team up. I started owning with it. I was never good at OU, untill I made this. But, Heres how it went!

How I made this team. (In order):
tyranitar.gif

I started with T-Tar. SpD T-Tar to suprize people. And, this is when it all started :)

Gastrodon_Oeste_NB.gif

Gastrodon was a perfect water towel. But, When those water types hold grass, thats when a later pokemon comes in. But, anyways, Hes, Obviously, SpD. On to the next, and most abusive pokemon!

Don't act as if you didn't see this coming! What's the reason to not use Gliscor! I love to abuse Sand Veil, and the special thing is that he has Fire Fang instead of Earthquake. I depend on this guy the 2nd most. Hes just so epic. I love you Gliscor.

Terrakion.gif

This guy. THIS GUY. This guy has sweep through a WHOLE team. Ask long as hes faster, he OHKO's most pokmeon with his epic choice band. No need to explain this more.

Tangrowth_NB_hembra.gif

Ah... Tangrowth... the pokemon with a base 100 hp AND defense. I love this guy. I needed someone to be-able to take any physical move if gliscor coulding be switched in. A defensive set, obviously.

Last, BUT defiantly not least, is Genesect. Who doesn't use this beast. Same with Terrakion, This guy can sweep threw a WHOLE team. With a base speed of 99, it can outspeed a lot of pokemon. It's not a Terrakion, but it is a bandage in my team.

I decided to go with Amoongus instead of Tangrowth because even though he doesn't have as much defense, he can remove toxic spikes and can survive one special attack. Tragrowth can not do any of that.

After afew of the people were saying I should egt rid of T-Tar, I did. Welcome to the team Hippowdon. But, Now im at a disadvantage to SpA pokemon. So I might have to go to Curse.

Welp. Here are all the stats and stuff:

scaled.php

Gucci (Hippowdon) @ Leftovers
Trait: Sand Stream
EVs: 4 Atk / 252 HP / 252 Def
Adamant Nature
- Stealth Rock
- Slack Off
- Earthquake
- Ice Fang

First of all, this Hippo is here for Sand (Obviously). Hes Defensive because Amoongus is just not enough. I am still thinking weather to do Curse with SpD instead of one of the moves, but I'll keep it as it is untill someone responds! And, there we have our first pokemon in this team!

Gastrodon_Oeste_NB.gif

Slugma? (Gastrodon) @ Choice Specs
Trait: Storm Drain
EVs: 60 SDef / 160 HP / 252 SAtk / 36 Def
Calm Nature
- Earth Power
- Ice Beam
- Surf
- Hidden Power [Grass]

Second, is Gastrodon. Even though it's not used alot, It is counted as a threat if you don't have a grass type (Or a Jellyfish ._.) Bulky enough to take icebeams and/or earth powers. This guy is mainly here for the water sponge. But, ether way, hes staying.

scaled.php

What's Up? (Gliscor) @ Flying Gem
Trait: Sand Veil
EVs: 252 Atk / 4 Def / 252 Spd
Adamant Nature
- Swords Dance
- Acrobatics
- Earthquake
- Substitute

Ah.... good old Gliscor! I love to abuse his sand veil. It's just so much fun. He has also sweep'd through a whole team. once he gets +2, he can oneshot a Specially defensive Skarmory. And +4 or so for a Physically Defensive one. This guy will never be switched out for another pokemon! I just love him too much!

Terrakion.gif

Horse (Terrakion) @ Choice Band
Trait: Justified
EVs: 252 Spd / 252 Atk / 4 SDef
Jolly Nature
- Close Combat
- Stone Edge
- X-Scissor
- Sacred Sword

When Terrakion comes into the field, all I say is "Good Game" (If they have no counter for it). There is no need to explain this outrageous pokemon. There is just NO NEED. Period the End!

Amoonguss_BW.gif

Shrooms (Amoonguss) @ Black Sludge
Trait: Regenerator
EVs: 252 Def / 252 HP / 4 SAtk
Bold Nature
IVs: 30 Atk / 30 SAtk / 30 Spd
- Spore
- Giga Drain
- Clear Smog
- Stun Spore

This replaces Tangrowth. I found out that my team was destroyed by toxic spikes, so i had to throw in some type of poison type. But i also needed a grass type too. Could'nt be Venasaur because It also needed to be bulky. Thats when I came out with Physically defensive Amoongus. So far, he is working very well, too! Don't need to use him too much, but hes just there incase if I need it.

649.gif

Your Not Perfect. (Genesect) @ Expert Belt
Trait: Download
EVs: 252 Spd / 252 SAtk / 4 SDef
Timid Nature
- U-Turn
- Flamethrower
- Ice Beam
- Thunderbolt

When Genesect got released, I was so happy to try him out (Without being Shadow Tagged with Chandlure)! Then when i sweep'd a whole team, I was like "WOW! THIS GUY IS AMAZING!". And, That was when I started loving Genesect! And, Hes Expert belt to fool people to being choiced! Timid too!

At the moment, I am at a rating of 1600 with this team. It will most likely rise. But, anyways, I hope you liked my team and can help me improve it even more! Heck, even put it in your threat list, I don't care! See Yah!

Wasn't genesect Uber? Anyway, i think you could replace tar with cur-ppowdon ( curse hippowdown) has the same ability and you get some nice boost in spdef, tar maybe has more def/ atack but hippowdown with curse solves that

could i suggest you try u-turn over bug buzz on genesect? it allows you to scout better and helps bluff a choiced set.

As it stands now, youre fairly weak to rotom-w. Gastrodon doesnt enjoy a tricked specs/scarf, and everything else other than amoonguss is 2hko'd by specs hydro pump (and amoonguss is in rain). I would suggest changing gastrodon to the specs set:
Gastrodon @ Choice Specs
Trait: Storm Drain
EVs:160 hp/36 Def/252 Satk/60 Sdef
Modest Nature
- Earth Power
- Ice Beam
- Surf
- Hidden Power Grass

This set is as close to a hard counter to most rotom-w's as youll see, and will also help you maintain offensive pressure, while still helping counter opposing rain

Nice team you have there.I would suggest a few small changes.

-change fire fang to Earthquake on Gliscor,if you're worried about skarmory you can try taunt over Substitute. You're team is also stall weak so it wouldn't be a bad choice.
-replace synthesis with stun spore on Amoongus.synthisis isnt a good recovery move in sand. You're team would really love the paralysis since it's a little slow.
-Try U-Turn over Bug Buzz on Genesect,it'll fake a choice item better. You can also change it to Rock polish genesect.
-That specs Gastrodon would be a very good choice, but considering your team I suggest u keep your current set, otherwise Tornadus-T is a big threat.

Hope I helped n_n

I like this team it is very solid but I agree to replace tyranitar with hippodown except i would suggest this set:
Hippodown
Nature: Adamant
252 Hp/ 4 Att/ 252 Def
Item: Leftovers
Ability: Sand Stream

Whirlwind
Stealth Rock
Earthquake
Ice Fang

Good Luck!
A spD tyranitar doesnt suprise a lot of people (sorry to burst your bubble) Also can
you explain more about why they are on your team? (We all know they are epic) :)

Oh noes, hippowdon has the 4 slot moves curse. The combo whirlwind (i think is for switching the opposing poke) and stalth rock are amazing, ice gives support and earthquake is stab, curse makes good use for his defense and the opportunity to up spdef, why?! Why?! There is no like 6 moves in one poke why? Anyway. I think a gliscor with stone edge, earthquake, swords dance and fire fang should be ennough, try that and replace flying gem with toxic orb and make him poison heal, you may say it is like leftovers duh that is horrible duh, until you figure out that it doesn't let people to burn him and lose his attack. Just a recommendation

Hello, nice team here.

First off for Hippowdon I really suggets going with Impish over Adamant as it maximizes it's defense so it can handle stuff like Terrakion, Landorus, and Salamence. You also need Slack Off on him no doubt, so although it may be a tough decision, I suggest replacing Whirlwind with Slack Off to allow Hippowdon to actually do his job well. I also suggest using Earthquake over Fire Fang on Gliscor. Fire Fang offers no real coverage aside from Skarmory, Ferrothorn, and Forretress. Earthquake adds a secondary STAB move to utilize, while hitting stuff like Heatran, Terrakion, Jirachi, and Tyranitar. I also suggest switching to a more Specially Defensive Amoonguss spread to that you can now take those Rotom-W Hydro Pumps with ease, even in Rain. 252 HP / 4 Def / 252 SDef Calm gives it the most bulk possible, while still being able to easily dismantle bulky water types.

You have problems with stuff like Tornadus - T, Latios, and other strong Dragon types. To fix this I suggest trying out Specially Defensive Jirachi to aid in taking strong Draco Meteors, Hurricanes, and Surfs from these Pokemon. Jirachi also provides a helpful antic in Wish support, which can help heal up your team if you need it. I would try it out over Genesect due to their similar weakness / typing, so it shouldn't shake up your team to much. You could also try out a Defensive Spinner Starmie over Gastrodon to minimize hazards and also patch up your weakness to Mamoswine in a way.

Jirachi @ Leftovers | Serene Grace
252 HP / 220 SDef / 36 Spe
Careful Nature
- Iron Head
- Wish
- Body Slam
- Protect

Starmie @ Leftovers | Natural Cure
248 HP / 44 Def / 4 SAtk / 216 Spe
Timid Nature
- Scald
- Psyshock
- Recover
- Rapid Spin

Good luck!

Why the hell would I replace Sand Veil with Poison heal. Sorry but no way thats happening...

Hello,

This is a pretty nice team. Some of your sets are a bit weird though, so I'll try to fix them up a bit.

Terrakion needs a choice scarf. This will allow you to beat Tornadus, who is currently a pretty big threat to your team. Having a scarf also lets you beat DDMence and DDMixnite before they sweep you. Having a Choice Band is great, but your team is really lacking speed yet still it doesn't have the bulk to take too many hits. A scarf is a better item.

I'd suggest you switch Amoonguss's spread with something more Specially Defensive- your team has a few problems taking hard special attacks, so a spread of 252 HP / 40 Def / 216 SpD Calm is better. It allows Amoonguss to take Special Attacks like nothing, and then cripple your opponent with Spore. Investing too much in SpA and Def are not necessary, because your team already has strong physical walls and special attackers.

I'd also suggest giving Gastrodon a Modest nature instead of Calm- you'll really want that extra power, because Gastrodon is already pretty weak compared to a lot of other powerful special attackers. Having a Calm Nature really won't help much, especially since you won't want to take too many attacks.

Gliscor should be Jolly. You can boost your attack, so having a slightly lower initial attack is better than having lower speed the whole match. It allows you to outspeed max speed Lucario- and EQ it to death before it Ice Punches you.

Finally, since you have U-turn on Genesect, i suggest you use a Naive Nature and a spread of 4 Atk / 252 SpA / 252 Spe. Genesect's U-Turn is a very powerful attack- you don't want to decrease its power, becuase it will be hitting a lot of pokemon hard- Blissey, Latias, etc.

Cool team! I hope I helped!
