I was on shoddy one day playing some games and then I noticed something looking back at the logs. Out of the 13 games I played only 4 times were stealth rock on my side of the field. 3 out of the 4 times the stealth rock were set up by suicide leads. So I began to wonder, is the only way stealth rocks being set up are by suicide leads? If I could stop the suicide leads setting up stealth rock is there any way I could abuse it? So I tried making a Team around that idea.
Weavile @ Focus Sash
Jolly | Pressure
4 HP / 252 Atk / 252 Spe
~Fake out
~Ice Punch
~Night Slash
~Taunt
To deal with suicide leads, Fake out to ruin sash then depending on who the suicide lead is use the right move. Ice punch for Aerodactyl and Roserade and night slash for azelf. The Jolly nature is also to outspeed azelf. Taunt is mostly filler and would be the move I would replace if I found another move.
-----------------------------------------------------------
Typhlosion @ Choice Scarf
Mild | Blaze
144 Atk / 112 Spe / 252 SpA
~Eruption
~OverHeat
~Focus Punch
~EarthQuake
The Typhlosion lead used as a sweeper. This was originally Moltres but Overheat cant sweep. If Stealth Rock isnt in Play he wont have to take the 25% which wont cause eruption to lose power.
-----------------------------------------------------------
Dugtrio @ Choice Scarf
Adamant | Areana Trap
124 HP / 252 Atk / 132 Spe
~Aerial Ace
~EarthQuake
~Sucker Punch
~Stone Edge
HEATRAN!!!!!
If I know heatran is on the other team, I switch to typhoslion then immediately switch to this guy when heatran switches in.
-----------------------------------------------------------
Tentacruel @ Leftovers
Calm | Liquid Ooze
204 Hp / 36 Spe / 96 SpA / 172 SpD
~Surf
~Ice Beam
~Rapid Spin
~Giga Drain
My Rapid spinner for the rarer case of spikes and if Stealth Rock Makes it through. Absorbing Toxic Spikes and countering infernape helps out also.
-----------------------------------------------------------
Aerodactyl @ Focus Sash
Jolly | Pressure
4 Hp / 252 Atk / 252 Spe
~Stealth Rock
~EarthQuake
~Ice Fang
~Stone Edge
My Suicide "Lead". Why Shouldn't I abuse stealth rocks also? With stealth Rock not in play focus sashers live other than on turn 1. Since I am not facing another suicide lead Taunt is no longer needed and Ice Fang took its Place. This thing saved me from 2 Lucario Sweeps so far.
-----------------------------------------------------------
Donpah @ Focus Sash
Impish | Sturdy
252 Hp / 4 Atk / 252 Def
~Ice Shard
~Rapid Spin
~EarthQuake
~Roar
My Most expendable member of the team. I wanted two spinners but he just isnt working out for me. Only usefulness he has served me is revenge killing the Outraging Dragons.
-----------------------------------------------------------
So thats that, I really hope Stealth Rock never gets banned because of focus sash, but I really wished its base power was 6.25 so those bug / flying types could live (Vespiqueen was on this team at one point).
Some things I want to add to the team but don't know how
Sleep Move
Status absorber (namely sleep)
So please RMT
