Hey guys! Just wanted to first thank you for taking the time to look over the team. Just a general over view, I love water Pokemon! Due to Politoed's drizzle abuse I worked on constructing a team around him with all the major water benefits that come with it. So yes this is a water team :) Its gone through many trials and Pokemon switch in and outs. But I feel I got it in a place were it holds it own.

1: Politoed Timid: 4hp, 252 sp attack, 252 speed
Item: Sitrus berry
Drizzle
move slots
Hydro pump
Focus blast
toxic
Perish song

Politoed is my first Pokemon that always leads the team off. With a good mix of coverage, between hydro pump and focus blast, I can handle any other weather leading Pokemon. I run a toxic & Perish song combo to help against setting up Pokemon and stallers late game. Sitrus berry allows him a much longer lasting life span, allowing me to switch in and out on demand. Overall goal: get the rain up and keep it up!

Swampert: Adamant: 252 hp, 100 attack, 156 def
Left overs
Torrent
move slot
aqua tail
stone edge
bull doze
low kick

Swampert for a long time was the missing ideal Pokemon. I played with his slot for a long time. Rotating between a mamoswine, a toxiccroak, and even an electrvire. In the end I felt swampert gained the most being placed within this team. Not only does he provide excellent electric coverage, but hes just what I needed to counter annoying steel types that would wall water. Bull doze doesnt carry the power of earthquake, but it does give the enemy pokemon a speed reduction by 1. After playing around with him a few times, it still takes about 2 EQ to ko one pokemon. In that time Swampert receives more damage then if I would run bull doze. (roughly 2 hit ko and I only receive one hit against me.) Bull doze FTW!!! Swampert is a tanky set that allows me to absorb blows and get a good feel for what kind of move pool the enemy is running. Magnezone works pretty well with him.

Magnezone Timid: 4hp, 252 sp attack, 252 speed
choice scarf
Sturdy
Move slot:
Thunder
Volt Switch
Flash Cannon
Explosion

Running close to 400 speed Magnezone is not a pokemon you wanna be caught up with in the rain. Able to spam thunder out speeding most of the entire OU class (without set up) he is a over powering menace. Magnezone serves many roles on this team. He is an amazing scout able to switch in and out with volt switch dealing large about of damage and evading enemy attacks. He and Swampert work amazing together with the speed and bulk of the little swamp monster. Along with the scouting Magnezone is a major pain in the butt! Late game thunder spamming really dishes out major damage! along with the 100% acc in the rain, he is a must save late sweeper that gets field time all throughout the game.

TentaCruel Modest: 8hp, 252 sp attack, 248 speed
black sludge
Rain dish
Move slot:
sclade
giga drain
barrier
Acupressure

Tenta is a mid game staller. Being built up with black sludge and rain dish creates a long lasting annoyer. Giga drain gives me coverage against other water type pokemon attempting to come in and battle with me. (magnezone pretty much has that covered through) Barrier allows me to defend against dragon dancing attackers, while sclade kills out the power they gained through setting up. Acupressure is something really unique. It's a move that is always unpredictable, and many shy away from using it. Giving a plus 2 to any stat point at random, Iv found this thing to be really useful :) Whether I'm getting a plus 2 for sp attack, sp def, or even evasion. It only adds to this stalling harasser.

Jynx: timid 6 hp, 252 sp attack, 252 speed
focus sash
dry skin
Move slot
nasty plot
psychic
energy ball
Ice beam

Jynx fits perfect with handling grass, ground, and fighting types can be be common and annoying. Running focus sash and nasty plot allows me to jump fast roughly over 600 sp attack along with dry skin healing me up. Simply put no one likes being hit that hard. Her main focus is to spam ice beam against setting up dragons, and focusing on hitting all she can with the power shes granted through her set up. Has worked well against ground types who use to be a problem for me till the addition of swampert and Jynx

Lapris: adamant: 124 attack, 216 def, 168 speed.
damp rock
hydration
Move slot
Rain dance
Dragon dance
water fall
rest

Lapris is my trump card. Able to absorb any status problem and be healed in the same turn due to hydration, she makes an excellent choice. Lapris is a last resort pokemon running a mix of stats in order to grant her survival. The combination of Damp rock and rain dance ensures I keep hydration up, along with rest allows me to continue being fully healed every turn without falling asleep. After 2 dragon dances she runs 592 attack, and 331 speed. Healing every other turn not only stalls out Pokemon PP but brings discouragement to the enemy player. Un able to poison or stun her, she is a growing monster ready to be let loose. Gaining the bonus from the rain, naturally waterfall was the only option. Granting both stabb boost and possible flinch with decently high PP usage, even resistant Pokemon will fall to her stalling powers.

Thats about it man :) some of the moves are a little out of the ordinary for "competitive play" But I feel like thats part of the reason its done so well thus far. People have to adapt when confronted with a team that can not only stall, but out run you with great oppressing power and potential. Let me know what you think!!!

Hi, I don't mean to sound harsh or condescending, but it appears you're quite new to the competitive battling scene, and this team will almost never work in a competitive setting, for numerous reasons -- for instance, some of the moves you've chosen are simply outclassed, while there are also massive synergy issues, just to name a few.

However, I'm not going to just criticise; I recommend waiting until the next round of Battling 101, where you can sign up to get a tutor, who will help you out with learning the metagame. Sorry, but for now, I'll have to lock this thread. Feel free to try again in the future; thanks for understanding!
