All right now I'm gonna drop a team that's taken a long time to make. Like 3 months long. Like Since the Spiritomb ban. Before it was a team focused on a Bouflant sweep. More specifically SD Boufflant. Now it's become more of a bulky Spike stack team with surpirisingly...no ghost! It's a little strange actually. On paper it looks clunky. But in practice its anything but. You have to be spot on when you play this team. Or teams with stuff like Togetic will walk all over you. Also it is VERY Vivillion weak. Need some help fixing that. Also should my hazards be blown away by Defog I have nothing to take adavntage. No Primeape,no Pawniard. I feel like it can tweaked that little more. It really has served me well and I hope to see a few copycat's on the ladder! Also Xatu is a pain in the ass. I need to tweak it some more. Rate me plez

Proof of peak(kind of);-
http://replay.pokemonshowdown.com/nu-163762293 - Current version of the team. Also proof of around where I was on the ladder...I don't have a screenshot from 1570's :(

Qwilfish @ Focus Sash
Ability: Intimidate
EVs: 252 Atk / 252 Spe
Jolly Nature
- Spikes
- Toxic Spikes
- Explosion
- Taunt

This guy gets the ball rolling. Hazards...hazards everywhere. Abstain from Toxic Spikes if you see Dragalge/Vileplume/Garbodor...and use Spikes instead. THIS is the best hazard stacker in NU. Unless of course we count Mold Breaker Rampardos which is pro too. The Explosion is here for clever switches into stuff like Kabutops and Sandslash..to stop the Spin. Because I have no ghost ;-;. Also helps me to check Feraligatr throughout the game with intimidate shenanigans. Taunt stops other leads from getting their hazards up. And if you have no poison type...get ready for the pain. Funnily enough tho on avberage I prefer one layer of spikes and one layer of T-Spikes. Becuase hey assured 12% damage man!

Hariyama @ Assault Vest
Ability: Thick Fat
EVs: 16 HP / 208 Atk / 176 SpD / 108 Spe
Adamant Nature
- Close Combat
- Knock Off
- Bullet Punch
- Fake Out

The boss. SR number...and lots of speed creep :x. It was originally for Vileplume...but seeing how I've dropped ye olde Ice Punch it's not of much use anymore. Does pretty much ensure I win a Hariyama vs Hariyama 1vs1 though. Man Knock Off is so pro. I hardly use Close Combat first up. Knock Off is always my opening move to scout things. Fake Out+Bullet Bunch is old school and helps me check stuff like Slurpuff. Hariyama is here pretty much as a Fire Spam check

Ferroseed @ Eviolite
Ability: Iron Barbs
EVs: 252 HP / 4 Atk / 252 Def
Relaxed Nature
IVs: 0 Spe
- Leech Seed
- Gyro Ball
- Protect
- Stealth Rock

Gatr check much? Also Stealth Rocks. And that wonderful passive damage from Iron Barbs. It's pretty good although I'm thinking of adding Seed Bomb just to mess with Seismitoad. My first switchin to stuff like Vileplume and Granbull. Gyro Ball can hit surprisingly hard. a little passive for my tastes though. I might try that Tangela. 535 Defense. Yum

Mesprit @ Assault Vest
Ability: Levitate
EVs: 252 HP / 252 SpA / 4 SpD
Modest Nature
- Hidden Power [Fighting]
- Energy Ball
- Ice Beam
- Psychic

No I'm not a BlameTruth alt. ;-;. Assault Vest on this team is insurance. Hidden Powere Fighting is used here for the same reason Lati@s uses it in OU. Sniping Pawniard on the switch. It's kind of antilead I guess? At one point I game this guy a LO and SR to laugh at Xatu and stuff. That was cool too. To Pyroar actually THIS is my first switchin. becuase Will-o-Wisp Pyroar is becoming pretty damn popular. Hidden Power also bops Probopass on the switchin. I think with 2 layers of Spikes I have guaranteed 2HKO. I'm considering a CM Mesprit though. With Subsititute and Colbur Berry to close the game. Hell ye I'm scared of Pawniard.

Granbull @ Leftovers
Ability: Intimidate
EVs: 252 HP / 252 Def / 4 Spe
Relaxed Nature
- Play Rough
- Roar
- Heal Bell
- Fire Blast

Weird huh? I had Misdreavus with Eviolite here before. But dat Knock Off. Fire Blast is for Ferrothorn. Again guaranteed 2HKO. :D Also guaranteed against Steelix with one Layer of Spikes(a 2HKO) I mean. EQ has its benefits though. Maybe I'll speed creep upto Vileplume, and give it some Sp.Atk. YOLO man. jk. Anyway this is my Fighting check. Primeape does mess me up pretty good though. Gunk Shot. ;-;. Roar to rack up that Spikes damage. Heall Bell because....I like recovery I guess? I'm open to replacing this guy with Slurpuff actually. 'cause I need a wincon. And I don't have Sap Sipper Bouflant anymore :(

Sandslash @ Leftovers
Ability: Sand Veil
EVs: 252 HP / 4 Atk / 252 Def
Impish Nature
- Knock Off
- Toxic
- Rapid Spin
- Earthquake

I needed something to remove layers while keeping my own intact. i had an option. Kabutops or Sandslash. I went for this guy. Reliable and puts in work EVERY game. But maybe a Swords Dance set would be better to help me stall break. He also kind of makes Lead Archeops dead wieght against this team. Kabutops is pro too. But I just wanted to try this guy out <3.

Summary:-
Wear down opponent.Win. Dude I'm open to ANYTHING to improve this team. So don't hesistate yo!

Problem Areas :-
No ghost. Vivillion. No win condition. Need to play well against stall. Pawniard. Also TheGoomy's gay Competitive Wigglytuff and Shedinja team. ._.

Finally a rate! Thank you ^^.

I had a feeling Garbodor might be better than Qwilfish...but that Taunt is so helpful! And it DOES let me check Feraligatr a little better if I still have Focus Sash. Will change Hariyama's EVS...Run Ice Punch maybe? Any Mesprit set? Maybe the CM + 3 Attacks / Colbur Berry one? And what in place of Sandslash? This team does have its flaws and I'm happy that you're helping me work them out! I don't have a win condition anymore! I used to have an SD Boufflant that was pro af. But now...eh. Man Rapid Spin is clutch tho. 'Cause I play really switch heavy.

how much speed do I need to creep on Vileplume? Ice Punch :x. Going to go for Mesprit with 3 attacks and colbur. Garbodor set? Maybe a ghost over sandslash? God know my team is slow as it is...maybe a colbur Mismagius? But then I have no hazard control....

Ah k...and an extra fighting check ^^.Aftermath is still pro. Anything else. And yes I do creep on Vileplume with 16 Evs :O. Anything else? To give this team a little more kick? It's a little stally for my taste atm. Would you mind testing this team a little on the ladder?

Hi Master Sunny-EX i have a couple of suggestions to help you improve your team.

First of all i suggest you running Mismagius over Mesprit. As you said lacking a Ghost is a big problem for your team as it means that rapid Spinners such as Sandslash can simply switch in on your Granbull, for example, and remove all your entry hazards.
Mismagius also gives you a great answer to stall teams as between Taunt and Nasty Plot + Immunity to hazards it is quite hard to take down for them.
It also gives you a solid win condition, a thing that your team lacks and it could greatly use. More speed is appreciated too.
Mesprit really doesn't seem to do much for your team as Psychic types are already checked by Ferroseed and Fighting types are checked by Granbull

Mismagius @ Colbur Berry
Ability: Levitate
EVs: 252 SpA / 4 SpD / 252 Spe
Timid Nature
- Nasty Plot
- Taunt
- Shadow Ball
- Dazzling Gleam

ah finally after bluie some more help has come :). thanks fren. But I wanna ask would HP:Fighting be better? I'll give you just an example of a game in which it was useful? on Mismagius I mean,Dazzling gleam has it's benefits but lets be realistic i'm not killing Gurdurr without some prior damage even after Nasty Plot...

here's the replay http://replay.pokemonshowdown.com/nu-172235953

or is this not common enough? Sniping stuff on the switch is pretty common....also against Sandslash yeah it's useful..but against the tier's other spinner Kabutops SR+stone edge+aqua jet I'm pretty sure kills it...or do I just have to play around that? The stallbreaker Missmagius maybe? Love to hear from ya! Could I run Pawniard/Primeape maybe over something?

EDIT: I seem to be hearing good stuff about Mismagius as a spinblocker...but its so underwhelming...
EDIT 2: http://replay.pokemonshowdown.com/nu-172571178,Missmagius pulled its weight here...it forced so many moves just becuase it was there...and if I play smart against even an HO team I can keep my hazards up which was key to winning here! Spinblocking is useful :P. thanks Galbia! I would use Dusknoir but...he sucks ;-;. Also dat defensive Sandslash :P.
EDIT 3: Now I have problems breaking stuff like Garbodor/Weezing that were easy to break before....shit plug one hole and a million appear. I could remove granbull I guess...one Fighting check is enough and I could change Sandslash to an offensive instead of defensive spinner...thoguhts?
EDIT 4: lol thinking of going Slurpuff>Granbull becuase Slurpuff can be a devasting endgame sweeper with like CM+3Attacks <3. Or even BD becuase BD+Semistall is pretty boss. Mixed BD+Flamethrower to nail Ferrothorn maybe? CM+3 Attacks is a much more conisistent metagame tho; maybe the Wish-Pass set just to be irritating :x

As you found out vs my team CM Xatu can destroy this team as Mesprit is your only counter and it can proceed to wear it down because mespirt lacks recovery or provide an easy double switch as Mesprit is your only switch in.

I recommend adding another check to the burd rising in popularity, such as Kabutops over Sandslash to provide stone edge to scare Xatu out while still fulfilling a role as spinner. You may even want to pak lefties and max hp if you want to keep a bulky spinner as Life orb is not mandatory if you are using (semi) stall.

I may hit you up later since this is just a quick analysis since I'm at school.

Ok yeah my team is a bit slow and Xatu screws me over hard....will try Kabutops I guess! ScarfTops maybe?

Id use normal tops but with lefties, it gives you
Spinner
Priority with Aqua jet
Rocks/Swords dance capability
Strong Stabs

Sandslash kinda sucks without Swords dance, all it can really do is absorb volt switches.

like it did in THAT match :p,I think this team has had its heyday...its getting less and less effective imo,I'll try out lefties top i guess. lol,I'm going on heavy tilt. I went into the 1200s today had to play like 6 game to come back into the 1400s. I need something like the Boufflant I used to run to clean the game up. this is just so SLOW

Sash Qwilfish / AV Hariyama / Ferroseed / AV Mesprit / Granbull / Def Sandslash

The first issue I see is that your team is quite bulky and defensive, and you have a suicide lead hazard setter. In a metagame with quite a few common hazard removers, an offensive hazard setter simply isn't going to be consistent on a team that can't pressure hazard removers. I think boltsandbombers's suggestion for Garbodor over Qwilfish is good, but another option could be to use Stealth Rock Seismitoad instead of Qwilfish and then Spikes over Stealth Rock on Ferroseed. This gives you another Fire-type check so that you're not too heavily reliant on Hariyama to check them, and it's more true to the original structure of your team.

Now that the main glaring issue with roles on your team has been fixed, we can go on to optimizing what you currently have. One thing that you've noted you're lacking is a win condition, and I agree this is an issue. AV Mesprit doesn't really contribute anything to your team. Using SubCM Uxie over Mesprit gives you a win condition without drastically altering your team composition. It also gives you a way to beat stall, which currently seems next to impossible. You can even get into CM wars with Xatu that are highly in your favor because of Uxie's significantly better bulk. On top of all of this, Uxie can be EVed to outspeed Vivillon, and although this doesn't help too much in beating it, it does give you something that can pick it off before it boosts.

You should also change your Sandslash a bit. If you'd like to retain more bulk on Sandslash, you can use a spread of 180 HP / 108 Atk / 128 Def / 92 Spe with an Adamant nature. This gives you the guaranteed OHKO with Knock Off on Rotom and Mismagius after Stealth Rock, allows you to outrun minimum Speed Garbodor, and gives you the best spread for taking physical hits without sacrificing mixed bulk. I don't think Swords Dance Sandslash is necessary or even particularly good in the post-Spiritomb metagame where most teams use Rotom and Mismagius to spinblock. Kabutops is worth testing, however.

Aside from these changes, you should definitely use the Hariyama spread boltsandbombers recommended. I also don't think that a spinblocker is necessary for this team. Your hazard setters are plenty bulky enough to come in more than once in a match and set hazards again, and it's difficult to add a spinblocker without significantly altering your team.

Congrats on your success with the team, and I hope my changes can help make it even better!
