Serperior's ability to boost its Special Attack with Leaf Storm thanks to Contrary and access to Glare make it a powerful cleaner and utility Pokemon, being able to snowball out of control and spread paralysis against checks like Mega Latias, Celesteela, and Iron Moth to break past them or support its slower teammates. Its Speed tier is also fantastic, allowing it to outspeed and force out Pokemon like Mienshao and Keldeo for offensive playstyles. Substitute capitalizes on forced switches against Rotom-W, Slowbro, Ting-Lu, and Hippowdon that can't afford to take a Leaf Storm while easing prediction. Hidden Power Fire hits Steel- and Grass-types like Celesteela, Scizor, Amoonguss, and Tangrowth. Leftovers allows Serperior to set up Substitute more often, while 56 HP EVs are used to prevent Rotom-W's Hydro Pump from breaking its Substitute. Serperior fits best on offensive teams filled with Pokemon that appreciate a potential late-game cleaner and enjoy its paralysis support overwhelming threats like Mega Latias. Iron Moth can lure in Ground- and Water-types like Ting-Lu and Slowking for Serperior and enjoys the paralysis support it provides against shared checks like Mega Latias or fast revenge killers like Iron Boulder and Mega Aerodactyl. Similarly, partners like Life Orb Mienshao, Mega Gardevoir, and Enamorus, which may struggle against faster checks like Mega Latias, Iron Moth, and Mega Aerodactyl, appreciate Serperior's ability to paralyze said threats, allowing them to threaten them out with Triple Axel and Psyshock. Even with Leaf Storm and Hidden Power Fire, Serperior still struggles to get past a large number of top-tier Pokemon, like Mega Venusaur, Iron Moth, and Celesteela, and can also be revenged killed by Pokemon such as Iron Boulder and Greninja. Mega Aerodactyl, Ting-Lu, Magnezone, and Zeraora can help against said threats; in return, Serperior pressures Slowbro, Mienshao, and Excadrill for them.

Serperior's access to Contrary Leaf Storm Feels a bit informal to address it this way, maybe rewrite to say 'ability to boost its Special Attack with Leaf Storm thanks to Contrary' ? and Glare makes it a powerful cleaner and utility Pokemon, being able to snowball out of control and spread paralysis against checks like Mega Latias, Celesteela, and Iron Moth to break past them or support its slower teammates. I would also mention its speed tier being superb somewhere, holding offense together against most mons in the mid-speed tier range (Mienshao, Keldeo) is quite huge. Substitute capitalizes on forced switches against Rotom-W, Slowbro, Ting-Lu, and Hippowdon that can't afford to take a Leaf Storm and Serperior can use those turns to safely spread paralysis with Glare against an offensive Pokemon trying to break its Substitute like Iron Moth or start boosting its Special Attack. You could definitely condense much of this by instead saying: it 'eases prediction' after the forced switches bit. The above paragraphs already suggest it is able of luring said mons, only that it can be sometimes held back by needing to predict whether to attack/glare in a vacuum without Sub. Hidden Power Fire hits Steel- and Grass-types like Celesteela, Scizor, Amoonguss, and Tangrowth super effectively. Leftovers passively heals Serperior and allows it to setup Substitute more often, while 56 HP EVs are used to prevent Rotom-W's Hydro Pump from breaking it. Serperior fits best on offensive teams filled with Pokemon that enjoy its paralysis support to better pressure overwhelming opposing threats like Mega Latias and appreciate as well as a potential late-game cleaner. Iron Moth can lure in Ground- and Water-types like Ting-Lu and Slowking for Serperior and enjoys the paralysis support it provides against shared checks like Mega Latias or fast revenge killers like Iron Boulder and Mega Aerodactly Aerodactyl. Similarly, same dynamic applies to these mons below Partners like Life Orb Mienshao, Enamorus Iron Boulder, too fast and doesn't struggle enough for my liking to be considered outstanding here and Mega Gardevoir, which may struggle against faster checks like Mega Latias, Mega Aerodactyl, and Iron Moth, appreciate Serperior's ability to paralyze said threats; Mienshao and Mega Gardevoir now outspeed Mega Latias and Iron Moth and can , allowing them to threaten them out with coverage in Triple Axel and Psyshock Psyshock isn't considered coverage > STAB in MGarde's case, respectively. Even with Leaf Storm and Hidden Power Fire, Serperior still has problems to clean games and struggles to get past a large number of top tier Pokemon, like Mega Venusaur, Iron Moth, and Celesteela, and can also be revenged killed by faster threats such as?. Mega Aerodactyl, Ting-Lu, and Magnezone respectively can check these Pokemon; in return, Serperior pressures Slowbro, Mienshao, and Excadrill for them.
