I've been using a pretty fun team that I made recently. Basically it's:
Raikou @ Choice Scarf
Ability: Pressure
EVs: 4 HP / 252 SpA / 252 Spe
Timid Nature
- Volt Switch
- Thunderbolt
- Shadow Ball
- Hidden Power [Ice]
Dragonite @ Lum Berry
Ability: Multiscale
EVs: 252 Atk / 4 SpD / 252 Spe
Adamant Nature
- Dragon Dance
- Outrage
- Earthquake
- Fire Punch
Starmie @ Sitrus Berry
Ability: Natural Cure
EVs: 4 HP / 252 SpA / 252 Spe
Timid Nature
- Rapid Spin
- Ice Beam
- Hydro Pump
- Recover
Clefable @ Leftovers
Ability: Magic Guard
EVs: 252 HP / 172 Def / 84 SpD
Calm Nature
- Moonlight
- Stealth Rock
- Thunder Wave
- Moonblast
Scizor @ Life Orb
Ability: Technician
EVs: 200 HP / 152 Atk / 100 Def / 56 SpD
Adamant Nature
- Bullet Punch
- Superpower
- U-turn
- Roost
In my last slot I ran mega altaria, because I loved how it looked and had caught a shiny one (it was lax nature which is bad but was still super awesome). I'm taking it out now because whenever my team ran into something it couldn't deal with I kept thinking about how something other than mega altaria would've done a much better job at beating it.
Anyways, here's a basic rundown of what my team does, in case you're curious. Raikou's my lead and always outspeeds and volt-switches out of anything except garchomp and shit like talonflame. I like raikou because of how hard his volt switches hit, and because he's a great late game sweeper against stuff like gengar. My team revolves around dragonite and scizor (i know I could've used mag, but scizor is my favorite pokemon and is very stronk). Scizor has superpower to bait in heatran, and from my experience it 0HKOs (unless they're invested in def or some shit). I don't want swords dance on it since I'd muich rather get a u-turn into a favorable matcheup than a useless +2 if my opponent switches out. Dragonite's self explanatory, I fucking love this thing and it sweeps so damn well with just +1. Fire punch is necessary for ferrothorn and scizor since my team lacks fire type moves. Starmie has been very faithful to me as a check to fire types like heatran, and ice beam complete's it's coverage. I don't mind having recovery over T-bolt because raikou brings enough electric coverage and I'd rather have a spinner that can live long with a dragonite on my team. Finally clefable is the best damn pokemon to just slap on any team to make it stronger. This thing has single handedly turned so many battles for me that I'm losing count. T-wave over toxic to help dragonite and scizor out, and I'm going to replace moonlight with wish for dragonite.
OK, as my last pokemon I'm going to have a mega most likely, but I'm not quite sure which fits best. I'm seriously contemplating Venusaur because he's an awesome, reliable wallbreaker, could help deal with steel types with HP fire, and would completely take a dump on ground types, which right now only starmie can take care of.
I'd really love to hear some thoughts from experienced players since my input is pretty newbie.
Cheers!
