Doubles Suicune [credits thing done too]

[OVERVIEW]

Suicune is a solid setter of Tailwind, helping strong but somewhat slow teammates wreak havoc with turns of added Speed. Suicune also sets itself a part from other Tailwind setters because of its ability in Inner Focus, which allows it to avoid being flinched by Fake Out, alongside its outstanding bulk and typing, which allow it to set up Tailwind reliably and consistently throughout a match. In addition, Inner Focus with Roar allows it to always phaze Trick Room setters in spite of Fake Out, a common technique certain teams use in an attempt to guarantee Trick Room. Unfortunately, Suicune is somewhat passive, not being able to do much aside from setting up Tailwind. Its passiveness and low Speed also make Suicune a big bait to Taunt users, including the likes of Mega Gengar, Tapu Lele, and Tapu Koko. Finally, Suicune suffers from stiff competition from other Tailwind setters such as Zapdos, Mew, and Togekiss.

Moves
========

Scald gives Suicune some offensive presence, having a sizable chance to burn foes like Mega Metagross and Mega Scizor and dealing solid damage to the likes of Incineroar and Stakataka. Ice Beam deals a lot of damage to the likes of Zygarde, Landorus-T, and Mega Salamence while still being its best option against Kommo-o. Tailwind doubles the Speed of Suicune and its allies for three turns, enabling slower but stronger allies to shine. Roar scares away Trick Room setters by threatening to phaze them before they can use Trick Room, further helping allies that benefit from Tailwind. Roar also phazes setup sweepers, especially since they take advantage of Suicune's passiveness. Alternatively, Snarl can punish special attackers by reducing their main offensive stat, easing setup a bit for Suicune's allies.

Set Details
========

Alongside Suicune's HP EVs, its Defense and Special Defense investment allows it to avoid the OHKO from +1 Zygarde's Tectonic Rage or Life Orb Tapu Koko's Thunderbolt, respectively. The Speed EVs make it so Suicune outruns Deoxys-A with the help of Tailwind. Finally, the rest of its EVs are added to Special Attack. Inner Focus is the preferred ability to prevent Fake Out from flinching, which is a common strategy used by Trick Room teams, enabling Suicune to phaze Trick Room setters and set Tailwind. Wiki Berry gives Suicune some added longevity, allowing it to set up Tailwind and Roar away Trick Room setters more consistently.

Usage Tips
========

Try to use Tailwind as soon as possible with Suicune, but be careful of Taunt users. After using Tailwind, it might be smart to switch Suicune out for a more offensive teammate that can make use of it. If one of your opponent's Pokemon can be taken down by Suicune, such as Deoxys-A or a weakened Zygarde, it might be ideal just to stay in and attack, though. If you're facing a potential Trick Room setter, using Roar as they go for Trick Room is highly advised because, commonly, the teams that Suicune fits the best in tend to struggle against Trick Room otherwise. Avoid letting Suicune get worn down, as Tailwind will often help win games or at the very least put on some pressure against the opponent. If at all possible, make sure to consume Suicune's berry, as it further increases Suicune's longevity. For instance, if Suicune is left at just above a quarter of its health and would get knocked out, it might be a good idea to switch it out and bring it in on a resisted move for its Wiki Berry to trigger.

Team Options
========

Pokemon that best fit alongside Suicune are offensive ones that appreciate it setting up Tailwind and preventing Trick Room. Mega Gengar is a good teammate thanks to its ability to trap Pokemon that give Suicune an easier time setting up Tailwind as well as eliminate those that trouble Suicune. Mega Gengar greatly benefits from the added Speed from Suicune's Tailwind, making it nigh impossible to outrun. The likes of Tapu Bulu and Landorus-T fit exceptionally well alongside Suicune, having great defensive synergy while also appreciating the added Speed. Powerful wallbreakers such as Tapu Lele, Kyurem-B, and Choice Band Zygarde can become even deadlier when backed up by Suicune's Tailwind. Similarly, setup sweepers such as Kommo-o and Dragon Dance Zygarde also appreciate the additional Speed to counteract opposing Tailwind and Suicune’s matchup against Intimidate users bar Mega Manectric, which Zygarde already handles.

[STRATEGY COMMENTS]
Other Options
=============

Suicune's role in the tier is rather limited, so it doesn't have many extra options. Protect is an excellent move in Doubles, but more often than not, the utility of Roar or Snarl is superior. Calm Mind could be used to overcome its passiveness a bit. However, Suicune is a lot better at setting up Tailwind instead of Calm Mind, and Tapu Fini directly outclasses it as a Calm Mind user.

Checks and Counters
===================

**Electric-types**: The likes of Tapu Koko, Mega Manectric, and Zapdos can deal a lot of damage to Suicune. Kyurem-B also gets a mention, as its Fusion Bolt is devastatingly strong.

**Grass-types**: Despite many of them being weak to Ice Beam, most Grass-types, like Tapu Bulu, Amoonguss, Kartana, and Ferrothorn, don't take all that much damage from it and can hit Suicune hard with their STAB moves.

**Taunt**: Taunt users, such as Mega Gengar, Tapu Koko, Tapu Bulu, and Tapu Lele, can easily shut down Suicune, as it and its teammates are usually very reliant on Tailwind.

**Setup**: Even if Suicune is packing Roar, Pokemon with setup moves can take advantage of Suicune's passivity and, at the very least, force Suicune to Roar them out while spreading huge amounts of damage to Suicune's allies. A special mention goes to Soundproof Kommo-o for being immune to both of Suicune’s methods of dissuading setup in Roar and Snarl.

Hey there, great analysis man! I just have a few changes

[OVERVIEW]
  • remove the mention about roar in reasons to use suicune over other tailwind setters, it's certainly a cool option but the main reason to use suicune is inner focus and bulk / good defensive typing. the roar thing is mostly an added bonus imo. make a new bullet point like "In addition, its ability Inner Focus alongside Roar allows it to always phase Trick Room setters away, ignoring Fake Out, a common technique some teams use to guarantee Trick Room." or something similar
  • mention how suicune's passiveness makes it setup bait for most notably kommo-o
  • I'd remove zard y in tailwind setters that suicune suffers competition from. zard isn't as splashable as suicune or zapdos so they can't really be compared for tailwind setters
[SET]
make the set this:
move 1: Scald
move 2: Ice Beam
move 3: Tailwind
move 4: Roar / Snarl
Ice beam is pretty needed since it allows suicune to threaten zygarde and kommo to a small extent. roar only prevents the setup but doesn't necessarily deal with the problem. Change set comments to reflect these changes. (Also add in set comments how roar can prevent pokemon from using suicune as setup bait)

[Checks and Counters]
  • add kartana to list of grass types, it's more common than like mega abomasnow and ludicolo
  • i'd add a tab called "**Setup**:" cause pokemon like cm tapu fini and kommo can take advantage of suicune's lack of presence
Tag me when this is implemented!

Mispelled Tailwind in the set and remove the icy wind mention in moves(no need when you have tailwind and the damage from ice beam is really needed) and you're good to go; looks amazing! lyd

  • [Overview] Replace Incineroar with Tapu Lele in your list of Taunt users, Taunt Incin is fairly niche
  • [Moves] Kommo-o is a little out of place on the Ice Beam list, since the move does over 70% to the other three and can't even 2HKO an unboosted Kommo-o. I get that it's still Suicune's best move for handling Kommo-o, but it just felt off to me. Not a huge issue, but if you agree that it's annoying feel free to remove or amend it.
  • [Usage Tips] I really like your explanation of handling the activation of Wiki Berry, nice
  • [Team Options] Mega Gengar not only traps Pokemon that lead to easy setup for Suicune, it also traps and removes Pokemon that could lead to difficult setup for Suicune (Tapu Bulu, Tapu Koko, Thunder Punch Mega Metagross, etc). No need to give those examples, but the dual benefit is pretty important to mention.
  • [Team Options] The mention of DD Zygarde in the last sentence should also say that it appreciates Suicune's positive matchups against all Intimidate users aside from Mega Manectric, which it already handles well itself.
  • [Other Options] Protect should get some sort of a mention here, it's decently good on every non-Choice or AV Pokemon
  • [Other Options] Leftovers and Sitrus Berry *could* get a shoutout but I'm not sold on either and I actually like how short you've kept this section
  • [Checks and Counters] **Electric-types and coverage** can just say **Electric-types** per convention. This is left intentionally ambiguous as it could refer to Electric-type Pokemon or moves. Also, Thundurus-I and Thundurus-T are no longer on the VR, so leave those out
  • [Checks and Counters] **Grass-types** definitely needs a Ferrothorn mention, probably over Shaymin-S.
  • [Checks and Counters] **Setup** should give a special shoutout to Soundproof Kommo-o, which circumvents Suicune's anti-setup move of choice by ignoring both Roar and Snarl.
QC 2/2 when you're done implementing, send this to GP!

Try to use Tailwind as soon as possible with Suicune, but be careful of Taunt users. After using Tailwind, it might be smart to switch Suicune out for a more offensive teammate that can make use of such condition the Speed boost. However, if one of your opponent's Pokemon can be taken down by Suicune, such as Deoxys-A or a weakened Zygarde I don't think this example is necessary as it doesn't add anything to the condition stated previously - I assume that if any Pokemon can be KOed by Suicune, you would want to stay in and take it out, right? Ultimately your call though, since it doesn't detract from anything., it might be ideal just to stay in and attack though. If you're facing a potential Trick Room setter, using Roar as they go for Trick Room is highly advised as,(RC) commonly, teams that Suicune fits the best on in tend to struggle against Trick Room otherwise. Avoid letting Suicune get worn down, as Tailwind will often help out in on winning games or at the very least in putting some pressure against the opponent. this sentence is pretty vague since IMO it's a given that Tailwind is helpful to winning games/pressuring the opponent. Not sure it's necessary. If at all possible, making it so Suicune's berry gets consumed is valuable, as it further increases its longevity. For instance, if Suicune is left at just above a quarter of its health and would get knocked out, it might be a good idea to switch it out and bring it in on a resisted move later for its Wiki Berry to trigger.

**Taunt**: Taunt users, such as Mega Gengar, Tapu Koko, Tapu Bulu, and Tapu Lele, can easily shut down Suicune, as it and its teammates are usually very reliant on Tailwind. Taunt users that can give Suicune trouble include Mega Gengar, Tapu Koko, Tapu Bulu, and Tapu Lele.

**Setup**: Even if Suicune is packing Roar, Pokemon with setup moves can take advantage of Suicunes Suicune's passivity, (RC) and, (AC) at the very least, (AC) force Suicune to Roar them out, but in the meantime they can spread big while spreading huge amounts of damage to Suicune's allies. A special mention goes to Soundproof Kommo-o for being immune to both of Suicune’s methods of dissuading to dissuade set up setup in Roar and Snarl.

THE SCIATIC NERVE, I didn't work over your amcheck, but you did well. Most of your changes were good, but you were missing some of the basics (its vs it's, comma before as, etc.). Feel free to hit me up on Discord if you want more detail.

[OVERVIEW]

Suicune is a solid setter of Tailwind, helping strong but somewhat slow teammates to wreak havoc with turns of added Speed. Suicune also sets itself apart from other Tailwind setters because of its ability in Inner Focus, which allows it to avoid being flinched by Fake Out, alongside its outstanding bulk and typing, (AC) which allow it to set up Tailwind reliably and consistently throughout a match. In addition, Inner Focus with Roar allows it to always phaze Trick Room settersin setters in spite of Fake Out, a common technique certain teams use in an attempt to guarantee Trick Room. Unfortunately, Suicune is somewhat passive, not being able to do much aside from setting up Tailwind. Its lack of Speed and passiveness and low Speed also make Suicune a big bait to Taunt users, including the likes of Mega Gengar, Tapu Lele, and Tapu Koko. Finally, Suicune suffers from stiff competition from other Tailwind setters such as Zapdos, Mew, and Togekiss.

Moves
========

Scald gives Suicune some offensive presence, having a sizable chance to burn foes like Mega Metagross and Mega Scizor and dealing solid damage to the likes of Incineroar and Stakataka. Ice Beam deals a lot damage to the likes of Zygarde, Landorus-T, and Mega Salamence while still being its best option against Kommo-o.

Set Details
========

Alongside Suicune's HP EVs, its Defense and Special Defense investment allow allows it to avoid an the OHKO from +1 Zygarde's Tectonic Rage and Life Orb Tapu Koko's Thunderbolt, respectively. The Speed EVs make it so Suicune outruns Deoxys-A with the help of Tailwind. Finally, the rest of its EVs are added to Special Attack. Inner Focus is the preferred ability to prevent Fake Out from flinching, which is a common strategy used by Trick Room teams, enabling Suicune to phase phaze Trick Room setters and set Tailwind. Wiki Berry gives Suicune some added longevity, allowing it to set up Tailwind and Roar away Trick Room setters more consistently.

Usage Tips
========

If at all possible, make sure to consume Suicune's berry, as it further increases its Suicune's longevity. For instance, if Suicune is left at just above a quarter of its health and would get knocked out, it might be a good idea to switch it out and bring it in on a resisted move for its Wiki Berry to trigger.

Team Options
========

The likes of Tapu Bulu and Landorus-T fit exceptionally well alongside Suicune, having great defensive synergy, (RC) while also appreciating the added Speed.

Other Options
=============

Suicune's role in the tier is rather limited, so it doesn't have any many extra options.

===================

**Electric-types**: The likes of Tapu Koko, Mega Manectric, and Zapdos can deal a lot of damage to Suicune. Kyurem-B also gets a mention, as its Fusion Bolts are Bolt is devastatingly strong.
