SS OU Sun team help

Yo guys, I'm new to competitive and wanted to use a sun team even if they're not the most meta thing in the world. All criticism welcome.

Charizard @ Choice Specs
Ability: Solar Power
EVs: 252 SpA / 4 SpD / 252 Spe
Timid Nature
IVs: 0 Atk
- Fire Blast
- Solar Beam
- Hurricane
- Focus Blast

The main damage dealer of the team and someone I just really wanted to use haha. Sun+solar power+specs gives this mon stupid damage. Has some good coverage as well, though I'm not sure if I should just stick to heavy duty boots. I do have a lot of hazard removal on the team though.

Torkoal @ Heat Rock
Ability: Drought
EVs: 252 HP / 252 Def / 4 SpA
Bold Nature
IVs: 0 Atk
- Stealth Rock
- Lava Plume
- Rapid Spin
- Yawn

The classic sun setter. Very versatile and can set up hazards, spin, and set up sun all in one pokemon. I prefer him over Ninetales but I'd be open to arguments for Ninetales as well.

Cinderace @ Heavy-Duty Boots
Ability: Blaze
EVs: 252 Atk / 4 SpD / 252 Spe
Jolly Nature
- Pyro Ball
- U-turn
- Sucker Punch
- Court Change

Court change the pokemon, nicknamed Cinderace. Court change is just such a good move and provides backup hazard removal if Torkoal can't get the job done, and also has sun boosted pyro ball.

Seismitoad @ Leftovers
Ability: Water Absorb
EVs: 252 HP / 4 Atk / 252 Def
Relaxed Nature
- Toxic
- Scald
- Earthquake
- Protect

Helps against Dracovish and other water type threats. Rain is obviously a big problem for this team and he's one of the few that can stand up to it. Also just bulky and solid all around. Not positive on its IV spread since Torkoal is already min maxed for physical defense.

Dugtrio @ Focus Sash
Ability: Arena Trap
EVs: 252 Atk / 4 SpD / 252 Spe
Jolly Nature
- Earthquake
- Stone Edge
- Sucker Punch
- Reversal

Meant to deal with threats such as Toxapex and Tyranitar. Debating scarf or band on this thing. Just a solid pokemon to trap threats that the team would otherwise struggle with.

Ferrothorn @ Leftovers
Ability: Iron Barbs
EVs: 252 HP / 4 Atk / 252 SpD
Careful Nature
IVs: 0 Spe
- Leech Seed
- Power Whip
- Gyro Ball
- Protect

Provides the team with a dragon resist and also completes the fire/water/grass core. Also needless to say, Ferrothorn is just a very good pokemon in general. This one is specially defensive since Torkoal and Seismitoad are already both physically defensive. Sun makes him even more vulnerable to fire, but he'd die in one hit to anything fire anyway and I wouldn't leave him in on a fire type. Also helps against Gyarados, who this team gets destroyed by otherwise. Seismitoad isn't a reliable counter anymore due to Gyarados getting power whip this gen.

And that's the team. Honestly I would love to put a chlorophyll user like Shiftry on the team but I just couldn't fit him in, if anyone should be replaced with him though (besides Charizard) I'd love to hear the reasoning behind it. Also considered defog support with u-turn like Mandibuzz or Corviknight, but went with Ferrothorn for reasons stated above.

If you guys have any suggestions about items, abilities, moves, anything, please let me know. As a newcomer I appreciate all the feedback I can get from more experienced players. Thanks guys!

Don't have a ton to say since, for a sun team, this seems to be pretty well optimized and I think you have a pretty nice core going that can actually deal with sun's bigger problems. I would definitely encourage your idea of running Choice Band on Dugtrio, as Toxapex is simply too bothersome to be left alive. It poisons Seismitoad, burns Ferrothorn, and can only be broken by Charizard in the Sun (who will despise having to deal with a baneful bunker or specially defensive set). A U-Turn from Cinderace on the Toxapex switch-in should make for a fairly smooth trapping, and Scald shouldn't be OHKOing Dugtrio except in Rain.

Torkoal is pretty heavily burdened as it is what with being your only Sun setter, so I might recommend sticking Stealth Rock on Ferrothorn if you find yourself being forced to pick between keeping Torkoal alive or having rocks up. This could also free Torkoal up to run a coverage move like Solar Beam that could make it less passive.

This was an amazingly detailed response bro I appreciate it. I get what you're saying about the rocks thing, but I could also put it on Seismitoad instead. The only problem with this is it would be a wasted move slot if rocks are already up, but I can definitely see it easing Torkoal's burden. I'll think about this more, I appreciate you pointing this specific thing out.
