Super Hidden Ability Tournament
"Can you imagine Zarude with Grassy Surge ?"
2 years after its first appearance on Smogon, the Super Hidden Ability tournament is back in Underused ! In this tournament, each Pokemon of the Viability Ranking got a brand new "Super" Hidden Ability which allow them to be better or give them another niche. With the help of people like Amane Misa and some members of the current UU staff, we brainstormed in order to create the following list. We tried our best to increase the potential of each Pokemon. Like UUber Tournament, the main goal of the tournament is to have fun and to be creative. Just enjoy it !
Specific Tournament Rules :
Post 'in' to participate. Deadline to sign up is March 21st, a week and a half from today. I will provide deadlines for each round once the round begins.
Super Hidden Ability Tournament
"Can you imagine Zarude with Grassy Surge ?"
- The tournament will be single elimination.
- Players will play a best of one series each round.
- Matches are to be played on Pokemon Showdown! only.
- All games should be played in the [Gen 8] Custom Game format
- Only the listed ability additions are allowed; everything else on your team must be legal by the current SS UnderUsed tier rules.
- Be careful to not Dynamax your Pokémon since it's not allowed !
- Posting replays is absolutely mandatory, otherwise a coinflip will decide a matchup's winner. If you're caught cheating you will be UU tour banned.
- Sleep Clause: A player cannot put two or more different opposing Pokemon to sleep using attacks that induce sleep to opposing Pokemon.
- Species Clause: A player cannot have two of the same Pokemon on their team. For example, a player cannot have two Koffing on his or her team.
- Evasion Clause: A player cannot use the moves Double Team or Minimize in their Pokemon's movesets.
- OHKO Clause: Players cannot use Horn Drill, Guillotine, Sheer Cold, or Fissure in any of their Pokémon's movesets.
- Timer Clause: If a player exhausts the timer, he/she loses.
- Endless Battle Clause: Any moveset on any Pokemon that is capable of intentionally causing an endless battle is banned from competitive play.
- Dynamax Clause: You cannot dynamax.
