SS OU Supernova Latias OU Team [Looking for Help]

I built this team after a few attempts of trying to get a team centered around a Stored Power Latias to work. Stored Power Latias is a great sweeper and with the right timing and set up, it can easily sweep your opponents entire team. That said, sometimes I get matched up against teams I have no way of breaking through. Here's my team so far, and I think it has a lot of potential, any advice on how to improve it?

Clefable @ Leftovers
Ability: Unaware
EVs: 252 HP / 252 Def / 4 SpD
Bold Nature
- Moonblast
- Soft-Boiled
- Wish
- Knock Off

Clef makes for a great switch in to things like Hawlucha and Galaraian-Zapdos and provides Wish support for Latias and Heatran in case they need a safe switch. Unaware helps against Garchomp and Tapu Fini, but Magic Guard may help more against Swampert and hazard-stack teams, so I'm not sure which is the better call.

Landorus-Therian @ Rocky Helmet
Ability: Intimidate
EVs: 252 HP / 164 Def / 92 Spe
Impish Nature
- Stealth Rock
- Earthquake
- U-turn
- Toxic

My main physical wall, Landorus provides rocks and walls Corviknight and opposing Landoruses. He works well with Heatran, so I think he's a good pick for the team.

Heatran @ Leftovers
Ability: Flash Fire
EVs: 252 HP / 136 SpD / 120 Spe
Calm Nature
IVs: 0 Atk
- Magma Storm
- Earth Power
- Taunt
- Toxic

Heatran is fantastic for breaking stall teams and checks Scizor, but can't wall specially as much as I'd like and against things like Kyurem, I have to choose between risking Heatran to Earth Power or risking another team member to Ice Beam.

Kartana @ Choice Scarf
Ability: Beast Boost
EVs: 252 Atk / 4 Def / 252 Spe
Jolly Nature
- Leaf Blade
- Smart Strike
- Sacred Sword
- Knock Off

Kartana does an extremely important job of providing speed control and checking Dragapult, but having a choice scarf makes it really difficult to break stall with it. I can't get rid of the scarf without leaving my team without speed control, but Kartana gets hard-walled by so many mons with it. I can't seem to find an alternative to it, so I think this may be the best I can do.

Latias (F) @ Leftovers
Ability: Levitate
EVs: 252 Def / 4 SpD / 252 Spe
Timid Nature
IVs: 0 Atk
- Stored Power
- Aura Sphere
- Calm Mind
- Roost

The star of the team, Latias is amazing. She's so much fun to use and can wipe out entire teams by herself. I'm very proud of this set, and the whole team is built around her.

Zapdos @ Heavy-Duty Boots
Ability: Static
EVs: 252 HP / 100 Def / 156 SpD
Calm Nature
IVs: 0 Atk
- Discharge
- Heat Wave
- Roost
- Defog

Zapdos was kind of slapped on to the team, but I feel it does what it needs to. I needed defog support and something to beat Slowbro and Toxapex, and Zapdos fit the bill. I'm unsure about it's EV spread, but I don't really know how to fix it without leaving it vulnerable.

That's the team. I really like this team and I want to go far with it. How do I take it to the next level?

Hey there, it appears your Zapdos, Latias, Heatran, and Lando-T have less than 3 sentences describing what they do, I'm maybe gonna rate this once you give your mons 3 sentences, but I'm gonna leave it to an OU professor. Thanks!

Hello Spiderzard101! Welcome to Smogon :blobwizard:!
I agree, Latias is a really good Pokemon to build around. Although most parts of the team are great (such as the Heatran + Clef + Latias core), there are some problems to be addressed:

Major adjustments:

1. This team is very weak to Dragapult, and Ghost-types in general.
:ss/mandibuzz:> :ss/zapdos:

This team absolutely does not appreciate Shadow Ball spam from Specs Dragapult. This is why I suggest using Mandibuzz as your Defogger instead of Zapdos. Not only does Mandibuzz (almost) check Dragapult, it also acts as a check to Kartana.

2. This team is also very weak to prominent Ice-types like Kyurem and Weavile.
3. Lack of speed control

:ss/zeraora:> :ss/kartana:
Since Zapdos got replaced by Mandibuzz, this team needed another Electric-type; which is why I chose Zeraora. It does the entire speed control thing a little better, and it fits well in this team as well, as it offensively checks Dragapult, Slowbro, Toxapex, Weavile, Kyurem, Corviknight, and Skarmory.

Minor adjustments:
:ss/clefable:
Clefable’s Ability
Unaware is usually used on Clefable in stall teams, while Magic Guard is preffered everywhere else because it prevents damage from hazards and status.

Latias’ EV Spread (optional)
:ss/latias:
Put the EVs in HP instead of Defense, so Latias could be bulkier in both defenses.

Heatran @ Leftovers
Ability: Flash Fire
EVs: 252 HP / 136 SpD / 120 Spe
Calm Nature
IVs: 0 Atk
- Magma Storm
- Earth Power
- Taunt
- Toxic

Clefable @ Leftovers
Ability: Magic Guard
EVs: 252 HP / 252 Def / 4 SpD
Bold Nature
IVs: 0 Atk
- Moonblast
- Soft-Boiled
- Wish
- Knock Off

Latias (F) @ Leftovers
Ability: Levitate
EVs: 252 Def / 4 SpD / 252 Spe
Timid Nature
IVs: 0 Atk
- Stored Power
- Aura Sphere
- Calm Mind
- Roost

Landorus-Therian @ Rocky Helmet
Ability: Intimidate
EVs: 252 HP / 164 Def / 92 Spe
Impish Nature
- Stealth Rock
- Earthquake
- U-turn
- Toxic

Mandibuzz @ Heavy-Duty Boots
Ability: Overcoat
EVs: 248 HP / 60 Def / 144 SpD / 56 Spe
Impish Nature
- Foul Play
- Roost
- Defog
- U-turn

Zeraora @ Heavy-Duty Boots
Ability: Volt Absorb
EVs: 252 Atk / 4 Def / 252 Spe
Jolly Nature
- Plasma Fists
- Volt Switch
- Knock Off
- Close Combat
Sorry for the rush, but have a great day!:blobwizard:

IMO zeraora Isn’t good speed control, especially compared to kartana. Kartana already deals with ice types and zeraora is easily outspeed by common scarfers which doesn’t really make it speed control, so I feel like keeping kartana would be better

This is true, however, it still has a great Speed Stat nonetheless making it a great Mon for Speed Control despite not being Scarfed, being the fastest Mon that isn’t Scarfed. While I do agree that Zeraora is outsped by common Scarfers rendering it KOed, you have the necessary Mons to deal with these threats and you can also scout the Choice locked Move.
Edit: There’s Eleki and Ninjask, but those are ass Mons lmao.
