It is able to slow down powerful special attackers like Terapagos with Snarl and use its typing to have a positive matchup against Calyrex-S, Miraidon, and Raging Bolt. Ruination provides constant damage, while Throat Chop can threaten to OHKO Calyrex-S and prevent Parting Shot from Incineroar. Stomping Tantrum allows it to threaten Incineroar, Miraidon, and Raging Bolt. Heavy Slam is used on Assault Vest sets to threaten Fairy-type Pokemon like Flutter Mane and Tera Fairy Calyrex-S, whereas Protect sees play on Rocky Helmet sets. Calyrex-I appreciates Ruination chip and Ting-Lu benefits from Trick Room set by Calyrex-I, while Zamazenta-C provides Wide Guard support, improving the matchup against opposing Calyrex-I. Ting-Lu can be slowed down by Pokemon like Incineroar, which makes Ting-Lu passive by reducing its damage output significantly thanks to Intimidate. Zamazenta-C helps in this regard because it can OHKO Incineroar with Body Press. Koraidon, Zamazenta-C, and Calyrex-I have a great matchup into Ting-Lu and are able to remove it from the field without taking much damage from its STAB moves. Therefore, Pelipper proves to be a great partner for Ting-Lu, providing rain support and Wide Guard, which slow down Pokemon like Koraidon and Calyrex-I, and threatening great damage on Incineroar with Weather Ball. Ting-Lu struggles against strong super effective attacks from Pokemon like Rillaboom, Kyogre, and the Urshifu formes. Raging Bolt is a great partner to Ting-Lu, as it can threaten Urshifu-R and Kyogre for super effective damage and resist Grass-type STAB moves from Rillaboom. Incineroar and Amoonguss are a great duo that support Ting-Lu well. Incineroar slows down Rillaboom thanks to Intimidate and threatens super effective damage with Flare Blitz. Amoonguss can redirect super effective moves like Surging Strikes from Urshifu-R and provide Pollen Puff healing. Ting-Lu, in return, checks Pokemon like Chi-Yu and Flutter Mane, which can be troublesome for Amoonguss.

Therefore, Pelipper proves to be a great partner for Ting-Lu, providing rain support and Wide Guard, which slows down Pokemon like Koraidon and Calyrex-I, and threatens great damage on Incineroar with Weather Ball. Ting-Lu struggles against strong super-effective attacks from Pokemon like Rillaboom, Kyogre and the Urshifu formes. Raging Bolt is a great partner to Ting-Lu as it can threaten Urshifu-R and Kyogre for super-effective damage and resist Grass STAB moves from Rillaboom. Incineroar and Amoonguss are a great duo that support Ting-Lu well. Incineroar slows down Rillaboom, thanks to Intimidate and threatens super-effective damage with Flare Blitz. Amoonguss can redirect super-effective moves like Surging Strikes from Urshifu-R, and provide Pollen Puff healing as well. Ting-Lu in return checks Pokemon like Chi-Yu and Flutter Mane, which can be troublesome for Incineroar not really, incin isn't that bad into flutteryu and Amoonguss.

Ting-Lu finds its niche as a bulky support Pokemon due to Vessel of Ruin, impressive defenses, (AC) and great natural typing. It is being able to slow down powerful special attackers like Terapagos with Snarl and use its typing to have a positive match-up matchup against Calyrex-S, (Remove Space) Miraidon, (AC) and Raging Bolt. Ruination provides constant damage, while Throat Chop can threaten to OHKO Calyrex-S and prevent Parting Shot from Incineroar. Stomping Tantrum allows it to threaten Incineroar, Miraidon, (AC) and Raging Bolt. Heavy Slam is used on Assault Vest set sets to threaten Fairy-type Pokemon like Flutter Mane and Tera Fairy Calyrex-S, whereas Protect sees play on Rocky Helmet sets. Assault Vest allows Ting-Lu to bolster its special defense bulk even more, making special attacks like Flutter Mane's Moonblast and Calyrex-S's Draining Kiss a 4HKO. Rocky Helmet threatens constant chip damage on Pokemon like Urshifu-R. The EV investment allows Ting-Lu to survive a Wood Hammer from Assault Vest Rillaboom, (RC) and take two Moonblast from Speed Booster Energy Flutter Mane for the Rocky Helmet set. The Attack investment allows Ting-Lu to OHKO Flutter Mane with Heavy Slam, (RC) and allows it to 2HKO Raging Bolt and bulky Farigiraf with Stomping Tantrum and Throat Chop, (AC) respectively. Tera Poison is utilized to gain resistance to resist the Urshifu formes's Close Combat, Rillaboom's STAB moves, (AC) and Flutter Mane's Moonblast. (You gain a resistance to types, not moves.) Tera Fairy sees usage thanks to its defensive nature, allowing Ting-Lu to have great matchup into the Urshifu formes, (RC) while also becoming immune to Draco Meteor from Raging Bolt and Miraidon.

Ting-Lu sees usage with Restricted Pokemon like Calyrex-I and Zamazenta-C, allowing both to benefit from Ting-Lu's special damage reduction capabilities. Calyrex-I appreciates Ruination chip and Ting-Lu benefits from Trick Room set by Calyrex-I, while Zamazenta-C provides Wide Guard support, improving the matchup against opposing Calyrex-I. Ting-Lu can be slowed down by Pokemon like Incineroar, which makes Ting-Lu passive by reducing its damage output significantly thanks to Intimidate, (RC) forcing Ting-Lu to be passive on the field. (AP) (Combines the two ideas into a single clause.) Zamazenta-C helps in this regard because it can OHKO Incineroar with Body Press, therefore proving to be a great partner for Ting-Lu.
